Tilesets
Is there a way to insert Fire Red Tilesets into Ruby or Emerald easily? I can only find tutorials on how to insert custom tilesets which I do not want to do.
Also, anyone who has a link to a progressive PSKVUI tutorial please share. Once again me searching skills are failing me and I can only find Super Advanced ones or really basic ones. Thanks, Ben. |
There is no easy way to insert tilesets from FireRed into Ruby or Emerald because the FireRed tilesets are a different size than the Ruby/Emerald ones. Unless you want to change the way the tilesets are formatted (which I doubt you want to do), you're stuck editing the tilesets by hand. You can always export FireReds tilesets and import specific tiles into Ruby/Emerald easily enough if you understand the basics of tileset modification.

You’ve probably already seen FullMetal’s tutorial as well, but I figured I’d link it just in case. And here's one more, while I'm at it. |
Thanks both. I saw a hack say that they had changed the tiles to Fire Red so I assumed it was easy. I think I will go the custom route.
Also thanks for the links! |
