Which Unova starter did you choose?
So, after we complete the Delta Episode, we have the opportunity to choose one of the three Unova starters from Professor Birch's bag, much the same way we originally chose a Hoenn starter at the beginning of the game. So which starter did you choose? Tepig, Oshawott, or Snivy? |
Oshawott, duh.
If anyone knows me, I cannot go without Oshawott if it's obtainable in a game and this was going to be no exception. Mine didn't get an impressive nature but that didn't stop me using him at times. |
Even though I got those unova HA starters and I choose grass and fire and fire again. Now I pick Oshawott because the little guy is cuter on battle.

I chose Tepig, because it's the only Unova starter I didn't have at the time--I chose Oshawott in Black and Snivy in White 2, so I got a Tepig here to complete the circle ^^ |

But it's awesome to see you trying each one out, especially since I rarely hear many choosing Tepig given it's the most hated of the three, but it's not that bad as they think and Tepig itself is adorable. |
Well since I have a tradition of always picking the Water type starter, I of course picked Oshawott.
I took snivy as I had an oshawott and tepig that I got for wonder trade.

I... feel like I forgot but am 90% sure it's Oshawott. Already had Snivy that I transferred over and Oshawott's super cute so why not! :D
I think I chose Snivy in my main Omega Ruby. Not that it mattered that much since I didn't use it seriously, but it would've been nice if these starters had their HAs, as i've mentioned.
Eh... Tepig, I believe; I felt a little sorry for it since I hadn't picked it since the Japanese ROM for Black/White.
Tepig was the only one I liked so I picked him. Not too fond of Unova Pokemon really. Least favourite generation.
I... I don't think I've picked one up yet. I've completed the delta episode for sure, but I can't remember picking one up. I should get that Oshawatt that's waiting for me then.
I chose snivy because I love snake type pokemon. It's finally evolution reminded me of my python I use to have when I was younger. Ah, the memories. . .
I chose Tepig, Piplup and Chikorita from Birch. The Chikorita was the only one I lucked out on because it was female. I used the others as trade bait.
Oshawott for me! Even though Mudkip was my starter, I just can't get enough of the Water type starters! ^^
Logically speaking, Oshawott would be the optimal choice because it's the only one with a hidden ability that is unnecessary to get the most out of its final evolution(In fact Torrent is pretty much better than Shell Armor for the sets Samurott usually runs)
I chose Tepig anyways because I needed it for my national dex completion since I already had the other two evolutionary lines registered. |
Tepig. Always the Fire Type
I had a hard time choosing between Snivy and Oshawott but finally decided on Oshawott.
Snivy, such a sassy little one ;)
Oshawott in both versions; both Snivy and Tepig weren't worth getting without their DW/Hidden Abilities.
Tepig. I've long been only choosing the Fire type starter, save for Snivy in White 2, which I never got to really finishing. However, if I had not transferred that Snivy up to Gen VI, I would have probably chosen it in ORAS, cause I just love its design so much :)
But yeah, I've been contemplating on breaking my habit of only choosing the Fire starters lately... I definitely wouldn't have started that with X and Y, because Fennekin is far and away my favorite out of the Kalos trio. But I couldn't help but feel that, since I have all the previous Gen fully evolved Fire starters moved up to ORAS, I would have benefitted a lot more from choosing a different Unova and Sinnoh starter for once...oh well. -_- |
Oshawott. Because it is very cute and I already had Snivy from my White 2 game.
Oshawott is great fun to play with in Pokémon Amie. :) |
I chose Snivy but I'm not going to use that Snivy because of the Overgrow ability and the Gentle Nature.
Oshawott because it is my favorite gen 5 Pokemon
Chose tepig,
decided to chose the opposite of what I normally chose that being the water type starter. Wasn't bad. |
As an avid Water-type user, I think it was rather strange that I've chosen Snivy instead of Oshawott! -giggles-
Snivy because danger noodles/nope ropes. And it was my Gen 5 starter.
I chose snivy because he's my favorite of the three. He;s been my favorite since Pokemon White, and even in the anime he's my favorite of the three starters.
Oshawott, definitely Oshawott. I don't know why, but I always pick the water starter. In every Pokémon game I've played I picked the water starter. I guess I just like their designs more, or just the water type in general. But why I wonder...
I had a hard time picking between Oshawott and Snivy. I always chose the water type starter Pokémon so I chose Oshawott. It looks pretty cute. ^ ^
Apart from the gen 2 (johto starters) and gen 6 (haven't played it) all the others i like water types so i chose oshawott well before i knew his final evolution i thought he may evolved in a bear since he seemed like a small panda like bear pokemon to me lol and i happen to like bears :). My favorite gen 2 starter is chikorita and my favorite gen 6 starter is fennekin :).
I chose Snivy because of course Serperiors hidden ability is the best ability ever.
And I chose Oshawott in the original gen 5 games and I wasnt really a fan of Tepig. Fire and Fighting isnt really appealing to me. |
Despite being my least favourite, I chose Tepig on the request of my little brother who loves pigs!
