NPRE Wont Display Maps

I've been trying to work on a Platinum hack for a little while, and for editing maps I downloaded NPRE. Issue is that whenever I go to load a map the tool seems to break. I load the maps successfully, and the square where the maps should render appears to be blue, as it normally should be. However, when I use the drop down menu to select a map and click on one, it gives me an error message, and the render box on the right turns white with a red X mark in it.

The error message it gives me is this:

"Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quite, the application will close immediately.

Object reference not set to an instance of an object."

When I click on the "Details" tab of the error, it gives me this:

Spoiler:
See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Any ideas?

You're better off using Spiky's DS Map Editor. Neither it nor NPRE are finished tools, but Spiky's is a lot further along than NPRE ever got around to being.
