Speaking of, if the Pokedex collects data about Pokemon when they're first caught, why the fuck does it have legends and fairy tales in it? Does it just give up on collecting data and go to /x/? I'd be pretty pissed if I went to the farthest reaches of the Earth to find out about, like, Pikachu, and get an article that's like Quote:

I like to think the pokédex data is all recorded by the holder and based on stuff they've seen and heard. That's pretty much just a headcanon though, and it is said to "automatically record data", whatever that means. That said, many pokédex entries seem pretty hard to believe. Especially some of the earlier ones, that might've just clearly been exaggerated by some adventurous ten-year old. Pretty related, I guess. Spoiler:

Yeah, I don't think humans could live in a world of Dex-accurate wildlife.

I'd actually love if that were true, it'd definitely explain a lot of the stretches (though you do have to wonder how kids would know about old world stuff, considering school is different in Pokeworld). I had some ideas for a Pokemon game where you had to examine Pokemon and, as you did, you'd fill in more of the dex. One of the ideas was making the Dex communally synchronized so that you would explore the world and Pokemon would react to you in different ways, so the Dex was a way to see what they did or didn't like, what they could do, and if they were or weren't harmful. Which could screw you, assuming that information is inaccurate. Dunno if I'd act on it, though, but it'd be nice to see some Pokemon fangames that weren't turn-based. |

The games would be so dope if you actually had to do research on pokémon. Their habits, their biology, their strengths and weaknesses... Of course it'd have big results in how well one does in battle. And it'd directly affect how their pokédex entries look, and therefore what rewards you get from your professor. |
I just discovered we have a category called "Create & Discover".

You still do exams in February?

Two weeks in January, two weeks in February. In the latter you can retake exams you failed in the first try or try to get better results.
