The core aspects of this band is massive.

So- micro-aniblogging time. Jojo and Sakamoto are my top picks of the season. Luluco is excellent. I can tell I'm going to seriously adore Bungou Stray Dogs. I will love Mayoiga if it turns into a bloody splatterfest like I predict. Boku no Hero Academia looks like it's going to rule. Kiznaiver was a snoozefest. Cerberus is a generic crappy fantasy anime but the MC is pretty so I will keep watching.

I fell asleep before I got pissed enough to finish IBO. I'm getting old.

Do want to finish that show though, guess I'll be going in dry a bit later. Never before has 7 episodes been so intimidating. Then I can get on with the new season and join the band of PC microbloggers.

I'm gonna make it my headcanon that "maths" is in plural.

"My maths are poor."

Lipstick Vogue April 11th, 2016 1:43 AM

Do Swedes say 'math' whilst speaking English? That's American and wrong.

231386

Pokestick, good times. April 11th, 2016 2:43 AM

The Swedish word is closer to "math". It's a subconscious bias.

In most cases I do pick the glorious, folded-a-thousand-times British variants, however. Nothing feels better than linguistic elitism.

Purist of Black Water April 11th, 2016 2:45 AM

American English is just wrong, sounds such.

Australian and American English share quite a few of the same mistakes though.

Well, elitism aside there are plenty of Accents here that absolutely molest the language, grammatically speaking. They certainly do have some charm though. I wonder if there's a country as small as the UK with so many regional accents.

Purist of Black Water April 11th, 2016 3:36 AM

Australia is "a" mistake, most of the time...

Someone smells ever so vaguely like a Euroboo.

Either way, American English is definitely the most fun.

What is a euroboo? : o (EDIT nvm)

Well I do class myself as "Eurasian"
wouldn't say I am obsessed with it.
And I was told, I sound like an American, so there ya go. ;o;

I dunno, Pok. I've met an Asian weeaboo at least once, so EuroEuroboo ain't out of the question.

Plus it avoids me having to say far more direct words to my dear, sensitive little Opap <3

Purist of Black Water April 11th, 2016 5:04 AM

Ok? I guess?

Ivysaur April 11th, 2016 5:07 AM

US English involves spitting words out instead of pronouncing them.

That's what I always thought and I found it hilarious when Larry confirmed to me that Hawaiians have a word to describe mainland English speakers as "no breathers" because they think so too.

They sure shout a lot.

machomuu April 11th, 2016 5:17 AM

231400

It doesn't, but I can see why you'd get that impression.

It's funny, actually, because as an American I usually listen to how other places, particularly the UK, pronounce things and how they come up with some of the esoteric pronunciations.

Same with American English, of course, but I think UK English is the one that interests me most in that sense because it's the supposed motherland.

Probably the funniest thing of all, though, is how any interest in etymology has been lost to the ages no matter where you look despite how much it works with prose and the overall understanding of unknown words and other languages. Really think education systems screw the pooch on that.

Going to try and get through some IBO now. Then at least I can start the new season in the week. Animus. Wish me luck, fam.

Edit - Mari Okida is on fire.
