Hacking Resolutions for 2016?

Do you guys have anything in particular you want to have achieved in relation to hacking during 2016?

Maybe it's finally getting a beta of a hack released, improving your mapping, getting to grips with ASM, etc.

For me I want to, hopefully, actually finish my hack (at least up to the conclusion of the main story / up to the E4), and actually sit down and learn how to use C to make more advanced stuff.

I would like to get a beta out...

Build up my understanding of ASM and Scripting as well as improve on tile editing and animation editing.

I would also like to refine my thread on fakemon and sprite making in general...

Sefuree December 28th, 2015 8:43 AM

I want to release a Beta version of Pokemon: Hybrid Version! :)

Improve my general hacking skills like Tile Insertion, Scripting and Sprite Insertion!
Start using ASM and C!

esperance December 28th, 2015 8:56 AM

I think that I would like to actually finish my hack, or at least finish over half of the story.

NewDenverCity December 28th, 2015 9:08 AM

Finish Pokémon Clover with the rest of the devs.
Release a beta for the hack I'm working on alone.

Uncommon December 28th, 2015 9:10 AM

I'd like to produce a good hacking tool. I've got some good ideas and I'm working on finding my way around Visual Studio.

Bonnox December 28th, 2015 10:38 AM

I would like to complete my learning of the advanced GBA/AXVE programming tecniques (?)

ThomasWinwood December 28th, 2015 11:03 AM

I'm still in the planning-things-on-paper stage, but it'd be nice if I had something playable to show by the end of next year.

DizzyEgg December 28th, 2015 12:03 PM

I'd like to finish and release my 721 patch as well as get better understanding of ASM.

Mana December 28th, 2015 1:54 PM

Start and continue a hacking project without getting fed up :c

chrunch December 29th, 2015 1:51 AM

Yeah I just want to finish my hack like everyone else, way too hard to get motivated nowadays.

tzujm33 December 29th, 2015 7:52 AM

I want to finish mapping out my hack starting scripting.

Avara December 29th, 2015 10:33 AM

Good topic! I'd like to learn about music hacking and how to do things I consider advanced like expand and repoint tables/hex. Oh, and get the beta out for the hack I've been working on for the past two years and still seems to be getting nowhere lol

Danny0317 December 29th, 2015 4:49 PM

finish a hack for once...

also finishing my script editor would be good too.

Joexv December 29th, 2015 5:02 PM

My only goal is to learn how to make a custom intro in C

DJTiki December 30th, 2015 8:46 AM

I don't know. I've been really disconnected with the hacker community as of yet. I want to try and make a habit out of talking to you crazy people.

That, and I really really want to help someone with their hack. My hacking skills are so rusty, they might as well be broken. I can, at the very least, help someone with theirs. I think I'll just start helping people as opposed to making my own.

Desert Stream~ December 30th, 2015 11:33 AM

I need to get a working title screen :( I can't find much on how to do it/the tools needed.

Aruaruu December 30th, 2015 12:03 PM

Probably just stop adding things to my "todo" list and actually get on with doing things on said list. It is pretty much do one thing and two more pop up. =\

partys over December 30th, 2015 7:27 PM

Get a beta of the hack I'm working on. Maybe make a small tool or something, also.

Deokishisu December 31st, 2015 6:46 AM

I'd like to set some time aside to seriously learn ASM and join the ranks of the ASMagicians who can seemingly do whatever it is they set their mind to in their own works. Then, I'd like to use that knowledge to fully complete and release my sideproject hack (which I started because for it to be perfect I'd need ASM knowledge--the push to learn). When that's done, I'll either start serious work on my main project, which will not be as ASM heavy, or do another hack in the same vein and using pretty much all of the same resources of my sideproject to "complete the set" as it were, which I imagine would take little more than a month or two if everything I did in the sideproject ports over well. Fortunately, little things that are really important for my sideproject(s) are being discovered fairly often, so the work is getting chopped up into smaller and smaller pieces while I'm finding some time to set aside.

Just like 90% of the other people ... get a beta out for Fat Kid and then get back to work on Discovery. Planning on redoing Beta 1 of Discovery so I'll be changing graphics, storyline, and making it more of a survival as a lonely trainer than instantly seeing people on the island after the shipwreck

Lance32497 December 31st, 2015 8:43 PM

I want to have a hackmate that will help me on my hack, that's all I want.

GiovanniViridian December 31st, 2015 11:03 PM

For me, I wanted to start with Gen 1, so I'm aiming to just try making a catch-em-all high difficulty hack with a fair level curve to start it off. I know there's one which is Pokemon Red 151 made by Blue, but I'm making my own version of it with a Gen 2 Graphics patch as an option.

If I managed to release it and I managed to get the basics on a good level curve, I'll explore more about Gen 1 hacking for a while and create some more Gen 1 hacks which modify Gen 1 a lot.

Tobiasu January 1st, 2016 8:35 AM

I want to release an Alpha/early Beta version of my hack.
>I can't script
*cries in the corner*

Crizzle January 1st, 2016 9:09 AM

To release my hack, then to never hack again.
