Trainerbattle Question
I need to add some code before and after trainer battles to work with my story. Since I'm doing a bunch, I thought I figured out the easiest way to do it (see below). Unfortunately, in some cases, it's not working. It's as though the trainer flag is no longer checked and the trainer is no longer the same trainer, it's some random one with no pokemon, and it just keeps battling in an endless loop. It's weird though because it works perfectly fine 90% of the time. Here's what I'm doing, can someone let me know if I'm missing something here, or why this wouldn't work?
Original example: #org 0x810000 trainerbattle 0x0 0x001 0x0 0x811000 0x812000 msgbox 0x813000 0x6 release end Here's what I do: #org 0x810000 goto @trainer #org @trainer call @new1 trainerbattle 0x0 0x001 0x0 0x811000 0x812000 msgbox 0x813000 0x6 call @new2 release end I'm assuming that I need to replace the offset in AMap with the offset from @new1, but I was hoping this trick would work for me. It's just weird that it only doesn't in some cases. Any ideas? |
