Yup, I know how that feels! Back then I also used cheat codes in plenty of games (including Pokémon), but then I eventually stopped using them for similar reasons. ^^

Nice! Now you can cry with the rest of us over how heartbreaking the story was... ;__; Also, I hope you don't mind, but I'm gonna give you a quick minor spoiler to make sure you keep playing the game. =p

Spoiler:
There's still a second major storyline after beating Primal Dialga. It might take a while for the new story to pop up, but it should eventually activate after you beat enough missions. You'll find out that there's actually a "true" final boss who caused the whole Primal Dialga incident behind the scenes. The second story is really exciting to go through, so it'll be worth all of the mission grinding! :D

I mean cheat codes can be fun especially when it's something ridiculous like being able to walk through walls in the old pokemon games.

They can be fun but, if you play because want to beat the game.It became less fun.

I didn't mind using cheat codes to catch Pokemon unavailable at the start that I wanted to play with, or unlock things I should have had access to when the game started (Challenge Mode in B2 and the GB Sounds in HGSS) but otherwise I tended not to bother.

Yeah, if its the first beating a game then I agree. But the second time I probabaly would'nt mind.

I'd probably use them for stuff like this as well.

I'm pretty sure that the battle tree does not cheat but sometimes it feels like it does. I got up to Battle 50 vs Blue. Guessed his Mega wrong as he had Mega Aerodactyl not Alakazam. His Alakazam one shotted my Lycanroc with Focus Blast before my Mega Salamence KOed it before falling to a crit by Mega Aerodactyl.

Blue's Aerodactyl survived my Tapu Koko's Thunderbolt with a sliver of its life and Tapu Koko was one hit KOed by Tyranitar's Earthquake. I tried to get my Buzzwole to defeat Tyranitar but was flinched THREE times in a row by Fire Fang. (10% chance to flinch). Certainly the unluckiest match I have ever had. Looks like I'm not getting the Battle Tree Master Ribbon any time soon. :(

Blue confirmed to be a cheater hahahaha

You know what would be neat? A "hard mode" version of Pokemon where every trainer and gym leader had fully EV-trained Pokemon with proper natures. Wild Pokemon of course, would not have perfect EVs, that would be too easy ;P

It's strange that Blue's Battle Tree team is better than Reds. He has five potential Megas whilst Red only has 3.

I am guessing that the developers do not put 'Hard Mode' in Pokemon games is the game is marketed so anyone can play the games comfortably with their favourite Pokemon and know anyone who wants a challenge will do a Nuzlocke, or Monotype or whatever. Although Cynthia's team was Perfect IVed I think.

Talking of Cynthia the member of her team that gives me most trouble is Togekiss. As cute as the Jubilee Pokemon is I always carry moves specially to hit the Fairy/Flying type.

I think the real problem is Cynthia's Garchomp

LilyGardy September 20th, 2017 8:25 AM

After trying again I managed to get the Ribbon and stamp for 50 straight Super Double Battle wins.
My team:

Tiamat the Shiny Quiet Mega Salamence
Lucian the Shiny Naive Lucario with Focus Sash
Shiny Timid Tapu Koko (The Event One) with Life Orb
Jolly Garchomp with Groundium Z

I've never used a Mega Salamence before but she is really powerful even with a bad nature. I might be the only one who really likes Shiny Lucario but with Close Combat he OHKOed a lot. Garchomp is Garchomp.

Blue had Pidgeot as his Mega a much better match-up for me than Mega Aerodactyl. I am very pleased to have gotten the Venusaur stamp. :)

I haven't used the Battle Tree yet but geez Blue..

I think Black and White 2 actually had a "hard mode" version of the game. It was only accessible after clearing the game in normal mode iirc. It forced to delete your entire save file for that. ;-;

Now that sounds pretty interesting! I managed to keep myself pretty spoilerfree, but I'm getting pretty curious right now. Hmm now who could that be? The only other time-related Pokémon has appeared in the story already (and no way Celebi is secretly an evil mastermind). Then Giratina perhaps, or Mewtwo? I guess I have to keep playing and find out. Currently I'm very busy doing random missions until I find some more Blue "goomis" for Manaphy.

The Battle Tree is largely good fun but it is possible to lose a match due to bad luck. I've got the Doubles (Venusaur) Stamp and might try for the Singles (Charizard) stamp. The Battle Legend in that mode is against Red.

I never did a 'Hard Mode' in Unova but did transfer the key over to my White 2 and faced Hard Mode Elite Four.

Talking of White 2 the White 2 Battle Tree and PWT are the only other Battle Facilities I have beaten. In the final of the PWT tournament I defeated...Blue.

Did Gardy just forget to add the number?

Idk whether I'd ever play the bw2 Hard Mode(mostly because I only have 1 W2 cart and don't feel like sending everyone up to reset...plus im lazy with training...) but it was a pretty nice touch, I don't like the fact you have to reset your game and all but feels more like Pokemon still to not have it as a 'choice' up front(maybe in Options?).

The PWT was one of my favorite things, I loved so much about BW2 like the Rotation Battles and PWT and Pokestar Studios.

Ooooooooo forgetting numbers.... More forgettful than me?...

LilyGardy September 22nd, 2017 11:29 PM

Aah...What was his name again?

Pokestar Studios was fun and Sabrina making a surprise appearance was nice.

White 2 is my most played Pokemon game and even gives you a Shiny Haxorus for completing the Unova Pokedex.

As long as you have the key, you can change the difficulty on the main menu through Key System without resetting at all.

I spent 20 Hours at Pokestar Studio.

Probably White 2 is the only Pokemon game that I spent 30+ hours on beat it (not including PWT).

peter McLightning September 27th, 2017 10:49 PM

Hmm, one question. A + F = N

N - A = ???

Try it guys, try it. Run your horse.

I couldn't beat that damn Woobat (or was it Swoobat?) in one of the movies, so I gave up.

I actually never did the pokestar studio thing lol. I actually stopped doing a lot of the "fun side stuff" after gen 4.... I wonder why... This whole dressing up and taking pictures with your Pokemon thing in USUM looks amazing though lol

Hikamaru September 28th, 2017 4:26 PM

I do agree that I'm also liking the Photo Club. I always wanted to take fun pictures of me and my Pokemon, and now US/UM is realising that dream!

The Underground was an amazing side feature. Digging around and explore Sinnoh from below was pretty neat and you find the occasional useful item as a bonus as well.
Also, I spent waaaay too much time playing Voltorb Flip.
