A spider was creeping up on me in the shower

...and I threw water at it and it went whizzing down the drain. Does that make me a bad person?

Sirfetch’d January 22nd, 2016 6:47 PM

I would have done the same thing tbh. Either that or I would have passed out :(

I have arachnophobia really bad :< If anyone else has this, you know how bad it is to see a spider.

Ammako January 22nd, 2016 6:53 PM

For all you know, had you let it bite you you'd have become Spiderman.

I don't know. Let's set up an experiment

I didn't think of that. Welp there goes my chance at fame

I could try and get a bat to bite me or does it not work like that

Ammako January 22nd, 2016 7:07 PM

Nah, Batman just has money.

Juno January 22nd, 2016 7:21 PM

I feel more empathy for certain inanimate objects than I do for bugs and spiders, so no, imo.

This spider was a perv anyway, so no, you are not the bad person here.

MiracleGhost47 January 22nd, 2016 8:43 PM

Well maybe the spider wanted to go down the drain. I heard of a song about a spider that climbed up a water spout, got washed out by rain, then redeemed itself on its second attempt. It's a pretty weird track, but that's how our culture works I suppose...

dad January 22nd, 2016 8:45 PM

he was just trying to holla :(

He probably made it back out to be honest. I dare not to wander into the bathroom anytime soon in fear of my safety. And by safety I mean my home as I will burn the house down.

I once heard of a story about an angry wolf who blew houses down. I don't think I have enough strength for that though

Maybe if I was spiderman

PageEmp January 22nd, 2016 9:10 PM

What if it was a snail instead of a spider?

How common are snails where you live that one would get into your shower?
I see a snail every few years, if even that.

Also I think snails are adorable, so you are officially a bad person. There, I said it.

Sopheria January 22nd, 2016 9:21 PM

Oh god I did that before, and it came crawling back out like 2 weeks later, after I had long forgotten about it. Probably would have been best to just kill it, who knows if it'll come crawling back out when you least expect it :x

Arachnophobia is just a politer way of saying that spiders are too cool for you to feel comfortable around. There is one species in particular where the newborns utterly eat their mother. The generosity of a mother like that is truly moving. How good is yours?

Why am I now picturing humans being born like that?

please god why nO

Although imagine how much $$$ we could make if we turned that into a horror movie

My mother is not nice enough to let that happen, so I've gained a little bit of respect for spiders already.

You know what the worst thing in the world is? When you see a spider and go to spray it or move it and you turn your head for LITERALLY one second and you look back and it's gone.

They know THEY KNOW.

I think we have a theme. Let the scriptwriting commence!

curiousnathan January 22nd, 2016 9:47 PM

The only spiders I will ever play with. If only the real life ones could be captured in a ball and commanded to attack things

Although lets be real if it was a Spinarak in my shower I would have bolted

Sirfetch’d January 22nd, 2016 9:58 PM

is it bad that I have an unmatched fear of spiders but adore the spider pokemon? :x

Nah I totally agree with you and I have pretty bad arachnophobia.

curiousnathan January 22nd, 2016 10:01 PM

See I wouldn't mind that because that shower looks boss. It even has a detachable shower head! #priorities

Wait now that I think about it mine has that too -- although I didn't want to kill the thing just get it far far away

Technically the "spider" pokemon aren't arachnids because they don't have eight legs. It's perfectly fine, don't worry.

I'd finish my shower asap and leave the slimy creature alone to do it's own thing

This is so true. Hahaha.

I remember as a kid I had trouble throwing things away because I thought they didn't want to be thrown away and they'd be sad there. I'm talking things like wrappers and paper.

O_O

I suppose that's kind of cute though. I was expecting you to mean stuffed toys, not paper haha.

Pff, Spinarak and Ariados aren't spiders, they don't even have 8 legs.

How big was it?

This is very important.

It's almost hard to tell that we're seeing water in that picture and not spider webs. I taste a trap. RUN!

Sun January 23rd, 2016 3:03 PM

Nathan be like I'm not here to fuck spiders. Lmao (I know what it means no worries :P )

Spiders are cute, Nathan. Kiss them. (:

Good; it would probably grow and come back for revenge.

Not to mention, if there's a baby THERE'S A MUM

Which means you now have a much larger, angry mum out for vengeance for her lost child!

Soon, she will come for you. There shall be no escape.

No. I'm afraid the mother was eaten by her offspring.

curiousnathan January 24th, 2016 7:35 PM

They still have too many legs and are creepy so that still counts!!

curiousnathan January 25th, 2016 12:29 AM

Have you guys seen this article?

Looks like I'm not going to and Peruvian forests...ever.
