I know I can only speak for myself in this regard but it's one of the main reasons I rarely ever use my facebook. It makes me feel like utter crap seeing how my former high school classmates progressed in life and that I don't really have anything noteworthy to share.

Yeah, I know that feeling. I make maybe one post a month on Facebook, if even that. Everybody having babies or getting married.

They are the ones missing out on all the fun ;)

Sothis March 5th, 2016 6:59 PM

I feel you guys, everyone I knew from school are all successful and getting far in life and I'm just...not xD

Sirfetch’d March 5th, 2016 7:08 PM

From what I have heard most of my friends are also married or finishing up college already. I don't mind the fact that I am lagging behind. I'd rather take things slow and enjoy myself instead of rushing just to be a normal boring adult 8(

We should all add each other and create a group of non-pregnant, non-posting, non-photo album creating people.

Margot March 5th, 2016 7:11 PM

I'm not even 25 and almost half of my high school class is married with kids. Some are even divorced or have multiple kids. I'm happy with my cat 8)

amen to that.

Margot March 5th, 2016 7:52 PM

Yeah I hear ya, I'm not the best at making friends, so when I see pics of everyone making work bffs or whatever I'm like how????? How are you all meeting and becoming bffs??? I have my core group of friends, but I haven't made a new, good irl friend since early college.

AND it would make us all look like we have more friends than we actually do. perfect.

EC March 5th, 2016 8:50 PM

Yeah, that's another thing. I have one friend who has almost 5,000 friends on Facebook. Like, what? How?

Margot March 5th, 2016 9:04 PM

That's literally everyone I work with (I have an office of 9 people), I think the lowest number aside from me, is like a little under 800 people. Everyone else had 1K+ It's so crazy to me

pkmin3033 March 5th, 2016 10:46 PM

I have 38...I doubt I could reach 100 even if I added everyone I recognised on there. I'd feel creepy randomly adding people I've not seen or spoken to for almost a decade anyway.

Flowerchild March 5th, 2016 11:02 PM

I have 280 right now but most of them I don't really talk to at all. Facebook is great at giving the impression that you have more friends than you really do.

tonbo March 5th, 2016 11:18 PM

i have 186, but i only actually message maybe 20 of them. same as rainbow said, it makes me look like i have way more friends than i actually do

pkmin3033 March 5th, 2016 11:40 PM

+1 to your self-confidence for having many Facebook friends, then? xD

killer-curry March 5th, 2016 11:52 PM

I have 50 + friends and 50 + friend request. I dun know who the hell these people are.

Logan March 6th, 2016 1:36 AM

I think I have like 600 facebook friends, which would explain why I dislike the thing.

moon March 6th, 2016 1:41 AM

try 800 facebook "friends", most of which you'll never meet again ._. your feed becomes... full of idek stuff

Yeah exactly that.

Charlie Brown March 6th, 2016 1:56 AM

I now feel very comparatively popular itt lolol

I have about 1.5k fb friends, and I know all of them from high school, uni, work, etc. I have a lot of contacts and I'm pretty good at personal networking I guess lol. Of course I don't talk to heaps of them that often but it's good to see what people are up to, where they're going in life, etc

Post high school I did purge a couple hundred who I thought I would never see again - so it's been awkward on the cases where I have seen them again and interacted with them haha.

Hikamaru March 6th, 2016 3:14 AM

I never became popular on Facebook. Ended up leaving the site behind in 2012 never to be touched again, but I mostly blame it on the fact I had a ton of studying to do back then.

Wah. I wish I was good at networking too, haha. But I think I prefer lower number of closer friends rather than a high number of shallow contacts c: we're all different.

Gabri March 6th, 2016 4:39 AM

Same. My personal networking skills are close to zero. I have about 100, know them all, but don't keep contact with half.

kuzronk March 6th, 2016 5:58 AM

I got like three thousand facebook friends but heck if I know even 10% of them.
