I'm a autistic person who spends most of the day sleeping and online. What do you expect? Easier to talk to people I don't know in person then vice versa.

I wasn't having a dig mate, was just talking about my own life.

kuzronk March 6th, 2016 6:16 AM

Yeah I was aware of that fact. I'm just saying though.

pkmin3033 March 6th, 2016 6:17 AM

I think it's probably easier for a lot of people to talk online than it is offline; you have more time to think about what you're going to say, for one thing.

This is like me as well, and I also have autism. It's because of my social reclusiveness (I usually don't like going out in public much) that I enjoy online more than offline. Autism does kinda hurt my life a bit but I do try to still function like someone without the condition would.

That's what I always wondered, how do you even know what's going on with people when there's just so much in your feed to sift through?!

That's how I feel my co-workers are. They may have a large amount of FB friends, but they probably genuinely know most, if not all of them in some capacity. Our industry is very network-centric and they're all very outgoing, so I could see it.

I dunno though, I don't like having EVERYONE I've ever met on FB. Especially work people. There are some things I'd rather not have the people I work with know, but my past 2 offices have been like open books to each other and I'm just like ???? Why do you want your boss to know how many people you've slept with/how many drugs you were doing at the club last night/etc. I like my boundaries.

That's different from my Facebook. All of my friends there are people that I met through work, and some I still work with. Though I think what is different about mine is that my friends are mostly an older crowd, so the most shocking thing posted to their Facebook is what adorable thing their grandchildren said.

It is much easier for me to talk online than offline. Online, I can take the time to formulate my thoughts and put words together properly. Offline, I'm essentially "how do i word?"

Logan March 6th, 2016 1:09 PM

I find it easier conversing irl, being able to see someone and their mannerisms helps imo

moon March 6th, 2016 1:10 PM

yEAH I ACTUALLY OPTED AGAINST ADDING MY CO-WORKERS ON FACEBOOK FOR THAT REASON.

Wow, sorry, I hit the caps lock and I don't feel like typing that up again so.

Hikamaru March 6th, 2016 1:12 PM

I always never try to intentionally use caps lock. I don't want to be yelling at all of you.

moon March 6th, 2016 1:18 PM

What if you happen to be typing in an All-Caps font?

It still kind of looks as if you're shouting.

Not you Rika you're just a tiny kitten, but anyone else would

Did you seriously go through the whole process of searching through a long list of fonts to find one that is all in caps just to make a point? :P

Universe March 6th, 2016 3:18 PM

what if you type in lower case but use big letters?

Gabri March 6th, 2016 3:22 PM

Feels as if you're speaking calmly into a megaphone.

Universe March 6th, 2016 3:25 PM

i'm screaming into the abyss actually

Gabri March 6th, 2016 3:27 PM

Be careful with that, we don't want you to awaken Cthulhu. He's usually grumpy when he doesn't wake on his own

Speaking of Facebook, there's no greater joy in the world than posting a Snopes link disproving some nonsense one of my idiot friends posted.
