This team is based around the Mega Aero + Keldeo core, which is useful in combating offense teams due to Specs Keldeo's pure power and Aero's matchup against Manectric, Lopunny, Beedrill and Sceptile. Mega Aerodactyl also helps in checking Talonflame, the Zards and Heatran, even with its SR weakness. Bisharp is useful against the Latis and Gengar, which highly threaten Keldeo, and brings a Steel typing to the table which gives the team more breathing room against stuff such as Hoopa-Unbound. Mew is the team's utility Pokemon, since it defogs away stealth rocks, which Aero and Kyurem-B really hate, and is generally a great wall, especially with Pursuit users gone. It mainly checks stuff such as Mega Lop and Heatran, which don't really have the force to muscle through it. Cube has a rather odd set, but it breaks through stall fairly easily because of +1 Fusion Bolt 2HKOing Chansey and Skarmory and Blizzard pretty much making short work of the rest, with Iron Head thrown there to beat Clefable and Sylveon (btw, Mold Breaker means Unaware is moot). Finally, Landorus-T is the team's SR setter, which doubles up as a balance breaker through the surprise use of Swords Dance. This means it not only checks Tyranitar and Jirachi decently, but Swords Dance allows it to muscle past Ferrothorn and Mega Scizor, as well as Amoonguss, Rhyperior, Suicune and other balance tanks.

Why do you have Focus Miss on Keldeo? It's not hitting anything that Secret Sword+Water STAB can't afaik.

Tangrowth especially

There's no point running Focus Blast and Secret Sword, especially when the latter is a far better move. You'd be better off running Icy Wind or HP Bug so you can hit grass or psychic types switching in super-effectively including the aforementioned Tangrowth.

Icy Wind still does jack squat against Assault Vest Tangrowth:

252 SpA Choice Specs Keldeo Icy Wind vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Assault Vest Tangrowth: 130-154 (32.1 - 38.1%) -- 95.7% chance to 3HKO

Fair enough, but considering there's a number of checks/counters a lot more common than Tangrowth that Icy Wind or HP Bug do hit, I still think Focus Blast is a wasted slot.

Cube already beats Tangrowth so Focus Blast isn't needed:
144 SpA Life Orb Teravolt Kyurem-B Blizzard vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Assault Vest Tangrowth: 296-351 (73.2 - 86.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
While Tangrowth barely can do more than 25% to it

It's a rare 'mon anyway. Might as well experiment with something else in the Focus Blast slot.

idk, but Icy Wind or any HP (Bug, Electric, ...) doesn't really feel that useful to me, especially on this team where Latios and Celebi are nicely handled by Bisharp. The 4th slot is just filler, so Focus Blast goes there just in case a Tangrowth shows up

Anti February 23rd, 2016 2:05 PM

you don't really have a good matchup with mega altaria so having icy wind to hit it is probably more useful than focus blast which is worst case going to miss and best case going to force a tangrowth user to just heal off most of the damage by switching a fight resist into your choice-locked keldeo. it also puts way less pressure on bish handling latios since you don't want to kill off your bish taking draco meteors.

Rock polish mega diancie seems a big threat to ur team.Cause its seen a lot as of late and once it sets up it pretty much 6-0's ur team if lando is weakened.
252 SpA Mega Diancie Moonblast vs. 72 HP / 8 SpD Landorus-T: 216-255 (64 - 75.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery
