Pokemon silver map editor

Hello! I am using a map editor to hack pokemon silver. I want to change the whole game. I want to delete all the maps and all the events and I want to make it a smaller game. Maybe a little map to make a building like a pokemon academy where they fight and learn. I know I'm a noob and I just wondered if I could do it. Thanks! :D

I probably should have been more specific. I am using Gold Map and I have a Pokemon silver rom. I guess i'll ask my questions one at a time. How can I delete the deafult maps on the rom and make new ones? Thanks! :D

hmmmm I have used Gba rom since I dosent have any intrest in gb or. gbc hacking but I have used advance map so I am thinking that you should recycle the maps by giving size you want.then add grass to all and movement permission c in am 1.92(walk over).now add your stuff

There's no point deleting all the maps, just edit the ones you want to use and make the ones you haven't changed inaccessible.

Like Indian Mew and C me also replied, you don't have to worry about maps that are inaccessable. Just edit some of the existing maps and make them accessable in the game.

What comes to editing them, you should first of all download JohtoMap which has more functionalities in editing events than GoldMap does. When GoldMap was made, some of the structure of different events may have been unknown, at least to the author of the tool, and some things aren't editable. Also things called "script pointers" aren't in a user-friendly format in GoldMap while in JohtoMap they are.
Along with JohtoMap, you're definitely going to need some kind of hex editor for editing the game. Same goes for this tool (http://www.pokecommunity.com/showthread.php?t=116370) which is the only script editor that has support for hacking Gold and Silver.

You can't make use of those tools unless you know what to do with them though. I'd suggest watching the video tutorials I've recorded (link to the first part in my signature), and doing some experimenting on your own while at it. Besides that, there are plenty of different tutorials in Skeetendo Inc. (hax.iimarck.us).
Anyway, if you put a little bit of effort in learning (which is actually pretty fun!), you should be able to afterwards pull off this hack you're talking about here. And possibly even something bigger if you feel like it :)
