Facebook: Like, Love, Haha, Wow, Sad, Angry

Yep, Facebook literally added more to their like button today. What do you guys think about it?

I think it's a giant cesspool for supporting memes. That's just me tho.

I noticed those when I checked my Facebook page. I didn't know what they were at first, but now that I checked them out, they seem like they'll make checking Facebook much easier. A lot of people (at least on my timeline) get all upset if someone doesn't interact with their page. But it can be difficult to always leave a comment. With these new buttons, just hit a "Wow" or a "Love" and it seems like people can be happy with their little bit of Internet socializing.

It really doesn't affect me much, though. I don't post anything to my own page(s), and I don't really do anything on anyone else's pages. So the buttons are just an extra thing for me to wait to have load when I go onto Facebook.

Same here. When it comes to comments, I usually just on someone else's wall if it's their birthday haha. I think I won't use those buttons too much, although I'm already thinking the "haha" one might be the new one I'll take advantage the most.

Over here Facebook is only my only site where I can see my friends activity.

Yeah more than like button seems to be a little better than just liking.

Pretty neutral about it.

I don't really care. I wuold have like a dislike one, but that's it.

I'm having a hard time getting used to them. I still keep hitting the like button. If they can fix it a little bit and add a "hover" so that way I don't have to hold the like button to get a reaction, that would be easier for me.

I didn't notice, and don't particularly care tbh. oops

I think it is redundant, unnecessary, and just proves how bad people are at voicing how they actually feel about things to the point where they need a button for every specific emotion. A "Like" button is vague enough that you can still leave your comment and say something. Getting more specific than that removes the necessity of actually speaking for yourself. But I rarely use Facebook and I don't think anything of enough substance to warrant actual discussion is usually posted there, so I don't really care if it makes a few more people happy.

I think it's a great idea! I still click like out of habit, though. I don't really check all too often, though, I mostly use it for assignments in my classes. I think it's pretty neat that they implemented it.

Flowerchild March 2nd, 2016 9:56 PM

I really only use Facebook for messages when I'm too lazy to use a phone keyboard, so it's no big deal to me. I like the idea, though I doubt I'll ever personally use it.
