I'll like to see Dragonite, Hydreigon, and Goodra get Megas. They're the only Gen I-VI pseudos who didn't get them.

Of your suggestions, I'd love a Mega Mantine. Because I know how much non-Gyarados Water/Flying Pokemon are heavily neglected, plus Mantine doesn't have much going for aside from huge Special Defense.

I'd buff up its Special Attack, Speed and Defense so that it can get some oomph. Its terrible Attack stat is pointless given it mainly gets special-based Water moves, and there's also Air Slash for a decent Flying STAB anyway.

A Mega for Girafarig would be cool as well, with buffs to both its attacking stats and its Speed, especially given they are already its best stats to begin with.

For me it's Mega Mismagius with Ghost/Fairy typing and keeping her Levitate ability.

Angelroid March 3rd, 2016 7:05 PM

I think Megas should stop, evolutions like Steelix should make a come back.

A new game likely means new Megas, so what do you want from these games?
I personally would like to see Yanmega with a mega, as well as Hydreigon. I think their similarity to Kaiju makes them very easy targets for Mega Evolution. I expect to see Solrock and Lunatone though just based on the name of the games.

I'd want Mega Chandlure, Mega Porygon-Z, Mega Carnivine, Mega Venilluxe, Mega Reuniclus, and Mega Cofagrigus to name a few we need more gen 5 megas and well little Carnivine deserves it :3

Also Manaphy is already broken. It doesn't need a mega.

Sean March 6th, 2016 6:42 AM

It will be a crime on humanity if Solrock and Lunatune don't get some form of mega evo. It'll be the luvdisc and alomomola all over again

Superfox March 6th, 2016 9:28 AM

Obviously, I want to see at least the Johto starters get megas:

Water/Dragon for Feraligatr
Fire/Rock for Typhlosion
Grass/Fairy for Meganium

I'd also love to see Dragonite, Arcanine, Golem, Exeggutor, Ursaring, Hippowdon, Stoutland, Leavanny, Clawitzer, and Gogoat get megas.

Vegeta™ March 6th, 2016 9:57 AM

I'd like to see Darkrai, Giratina, Palkia, Dialga, 3 starters from Johto and Machamp to have Megas.

I'd think that they'd instead give those 3 Primal Reversions or Megas when the inevitable Gen 4 remakes come out sometime in the future.

I've wondered about that from time to time, since Dialga was the first Pokemon to go Primal, in the second PMD titles...would Primal Dialga be the same as it was in those games, or have a different design? There isn't a huge difference between Primal Kyogre/Groudon and the regular ones, so it's a possibility it'd only get a minor touch-up...that'd be amazing if so; I loved that recolour in the games. I think it'd just be Dialga and Palkia though, since Giratina has its Origin form.

I'm half expecting the Regis to get Megas now, thanks to the Pokemon Bank releases; they seem kinda random. I'm surprised they didn't get Megas in ORAS, so maybe in Sun and Moon that'll change if those games are related to XY/ORAS' plot line?

Dillon_68 March 6th, 2016 1:39 PM

Going through all of my regional parties, I have a few underdogs that I use and would love to see them get a boost.

Persian, Meganium, Granbull, Xatu, Forretress, Exploud, Masquerain, Mismagius, Kricketune, Swalot, and Stoutland (if they do 5th gen Megas)

Universe March 6th, 2016 9:13 PM

The rest of the starters, Weavile, Nidoqueen, Nidoking, Flygon, Ninetales, Furfrou.. and probably more.

i'm half-expecting Umbreon and Espeon to end up with megas in the new games because of the obvious theme and possibly because of the whole "needs happiness/friendship to evolve" deal.

I think Primal Reversions is only a Hoenn thing. With that said, I don't think they'll follow either of the two. I think they'll be given a different... something. Megas for them would be boring, and Primal Reversions would be taking away from this unique Hoenn-only experience.

I want to see a new eeveelution get a mega. I would love to see a dragon eeveelution to get a mega the most.
Other than that, I really dont know, I mean, after a couple of generations if this keeps going we will have like 150 megas. Is this even fair to the pokemon that dont get one? How will competitive shift(with being able to mega evolve just one pokemon per battle)? Lore wise, its only natural from the explanation they gave to mega evolution that every single pokemon can mega evolve. All it takes is bonds, trust and a couple of stones. If the next 2 games after Sun and Moon go as expected and are Z, the new emerald, and maybe a remake of Fire Red/Leaf Green or any other remake, it would mean that we wouldnt get new pokemon which in return means that they have to give mega evolution to more and more of the "older" pokemon. So either, they should give a solid explanation as to why some pokemon cannot mega evolve and continue produce megas OR completely stop making megas and again give a decent explanation as to why new pokemon cannot mega evolve in another region.

I suppose the reason would be that people of the new region wouldn't know about it, and when they learn about it, they haven't formed the sort of bonds with their Pokemon to be able to use it correctly. Like Korrina in XY anime, it's a learned thing rather than a natural thing, and if Mega Evolution doesn't carry through to Sun and Moon that's probably the best way I can think of to explain it. Because really, even if they've formed a strong bond with their Pokemon, if they haven't mastered it in the way that Mega Evolution needs then there's no way Mega Evolution is gonna be effective. I do think we'll magically find Mega Evolution in the new region, though...

That would work in the anime but not in the games and/or the discussions after the release of new megas. I mean, even if they said that in the anime/game of XY, after we got the 2 stones we could immediately mega evolve pokemon that we had just caught. Its an explanation but not a solid one. The X/Y games treated mega evolution as a mystery. I want in the new games to get a professor or a guru/specialist later in the game that will give a definite explanation to mega evolution and i want that explanation to be solid enough to cover the wholes of the previous games. Personally, I would like to hear something like that not only the trainer-pokemon relationship matters but the pokemon-pokemon relationship matters as well, for example there is a leader pokemon in the party that only that one can mega evolve(that would explain the one mega per battle), but its getting more and more complicated.

I would love to see Zoroark, Milotic, Flygon, Luxray and Staraptor, Victini, Manaphy & Jirachi getting megas, pluss Darkrai & Cresselia (if one gets both should.)

All the starters will have one eventually i suppose, unless they are taking the "special" ash-greenninja special evolution further.
