I am also betting there will be more fairy types, and I think it is possible that Popplio is one of them. I just hope they can make them more boyish. I mean I like what we have, but it would be nice for them to make some for boys. Most of the ones we have, you'd expect females to have them. Although I don't mind it much, I think it would just be nice.
I think I have said at an earlier point in the thread, but I kinda hope that the Psudeo Legendary line(s) are Fairy/Bug or at least Fairy. We got a Steel and Dark Psudeo when the types were released. (Tyranitar and Metagross) |

A fairy type shouldn't have to look like a girl would love or like. It would be nice to have gender neutral ones. I guess it is really hard to explain. |

I really fancy a tiki Pokemon. I mean it's Hawaii, and it can be Grass/Fire!
http://i.imgur.com/M0rd4fd.png I always thought that the best Grass/Fire mon would be something like a Jack-O-Lantern, but GF went with Ghost/Grass for that. Can't say no to tikis though. |
Grass/Fire can also be some kind of spicy pepper.
|
Now that we know that the Alola region is based on Hawaii, I think it's about time they release a dolphin based Pokemon.
|
Kyogre is an orca and orcas are dolphins. We've had one since gen 3 yo. Jokes aside, another Shark Pokemon seems really likely to me as well.
|
Would love to see a hammer head shark.
What about fossils? I am really hoping for a Pteranodon and Parasaurolophus to a throwback for the Dinosaur Adventure 3D games. I am not sure when the game came out, but I think it would be a neat throwback for 90s kids who played the games. |
There are plenty of hawaiian myths dealing with fairies and monsters that could be considered in fairy folklore. http://www.to-hawaii.com/hawaiian-myths-and-legends.php
There is a possibility for a Shark boy (water/fairy) pokemon to be manly enough for you. |
I would like fossils that are based on obscure prehistoric mammals like the Diprotodon and Elasmotherium.
|
For fossils I looked up Paleontology in Hawaii and it's mostly fossils of marine animals and prehistoric birds.
I'm not really expecting dinosaurs again. |

and those super ancient giant komdo dragon/ lizard dinosaurs? Can't think of the name atm lol. |
Quote:
Or are you thinking of Dimetrodon, which lived way before dinosaurs did, yet was an ancestor of mammals?. Anywho, there are many species of extinct species that are just begging to be Pokémon fossils. Here are a few possibilities: Kentrosaurus (African stegosaur) Diprotodon (giant wombat) Megatherium ( ground sloth) Dimetrodon (mammal-like Reptile) Megaloceros ( Irish Elk) Glyptodon (ancient armadillo) Sivatherium (okapi relative) Deinosuchus (super croc) Velociraptor (need I explain?) Mammoth (make it realistic) Smilodon (Sabertooth cat) Carnotaurus (begging to be a Pokémon) Woolly rhinoceros (though unlikely) |
We need a Giant short-faced bear fossil being Rock/Normal.
|
Quote:
And a Gigantopithecus, being Rock/Fighting. Possibly playing around with the theory of vit becoming Bigfoot. |
Quote:
And a sabertooth would be amazing! A highly requested mon as well. |
Since Alola is based of Hawaii, I'm hoping for a dolphin, and a hammerhead shark Pokemon.

In that case , It could be a unique Fairy/Ghost type pokemon. |
My thoughts on the new pokemon shown in the latest Sun and Moon trailer:
The possible amalgamation of deer/dog/squirrel/rabbit reminds me of eevee. After all, eevee is an amalgamation of fox/cat/dog. I would like to see this pokemon follow suit with eevee except it gains a new form rather than evolution while holding onto a stone or depending on environment - therefore it would be more adaptable to its climate, following suit with the conservation theme. Also, the little black marks on the collar could be where the stones are placed, like pendants on a collar. But, this is a stretch...I would like to see some form of connection to eevee though if it is indeed a hybrid of animals. ...Or it is just a cute normal type dog and I am completely off base. Spoiler:
|
I think it could be a young hooved animal.

That design is awesome though - there's no reason they can say no to having a tiki-based Pokemon. It's the perfect region for it and it's now or never. Dolphin too. Give the people their dolphin, Alola. |
