Which flavour crisps should be in the blue bag?
We all have our favourite flavours but that is not what this thread is about. I simply want to know which flavour PC believes should be in the blue packet.
Personally think it HAS to be salt and vinegar. Almost certainly thanks to Walkers/Lay's being the market leaders they all seem to be cheese and onion nowadays. This is really awful as salt and vinegar crisps simply don't taste as good coming from a green bag. Over to you. |
Over in my country, the flavour that tends to occupy the blue packs is the typical original salt flavour. However, Pringles do have their salt and vinegar flavour in a blue pack so it is there in some way, but still blue tends to be associated with the original salt flavour as far as I know.
|
Salt and vinegar without a doubt, Doritos' marketing team need to get it together~
|
Salt and vinegar belongs in a green bag. Blue is a cool color, hence why it has cool ranch doritos.
|
I have never associated the color of a potato chip bag with it's flavor lol
|
I've never once even bothered to care about the color of my bag of chips. (Crisps, if you prefer)
The color of the package doesn't matter, as long as the product it contains tastes delicious. |
Here my favorite is the blue bag of Lays or the Blue Can of Pringles cause Salt and Vinegar are the best! However theres also the tasty Green Utz bag as well hmm never really thought about the color of the bag associated with what type of flavor the chip is too much.
|
Never really paid attention to the bag color, but I guess anything goes for me. Just make sure it tastes good and I'll eat it. (not particularly a cheese fan, though.)
|
I dun care, they are chips.
|
salt and vinegar is pink over here and i love it that way. apart from pringles whose s&v is blue.
but fuck that, honey soy chicken masterrace |
Salt and Vinegar. They changed it to Cheese and Onion over here a few years ago...I got a very nasty surprise the first time, because nobody bothered to inform me of this and I picked up a packet without even realising. Cheese and Onion crisps are fucking disgusting.
|
Salt and Vinegar is Blue 100%. If you say Green I don't like you.

Edit - this thread has been moved, what. It's a serious discussion. |
doritos nacho cheese >> all of your fav crisps |

Cheese and Onion is that deep royal blue ish colour, light blue can be salt & vinegar if it likes :). |
just reading the title my mind automatically said salt and vinegar or original. i could see a ranch flavor too
|
Y'all would hate my work place's chip bags. All the different flavors are in the same color bag. So you definitely have to read what bag you're grabbing to make sure you get the right flavor.
When I think of "blue bag" chips, my mind goes directly to Doritos Cool Ranch. When I think about it more, it goes to the various lightly salted brands. |
the blue... packet?
|
Salt and vinegar somehow does seem appropriate in blue. It is that stringent, almost slightly metallic combination in taste that seems to fit the colour blue rather nicely.
|
I. You know, actually, I'm torn on this. I'm...gonna have to say blue for salt and vinegar, since a lot of sea salted crisps I eat here come from blue bags. But Walkers are sooo goood. *legitimately leaves the house to buy cheese and onion Walkers crisps gdi*
|
Cool Ranch Doritos.
Because I hate Salt & Vinegar. |
See I think Cheese and Onion should be in a green packet. When I think of smelly cheese I think it as green. Yes you can get blue cheese but when you draw smelly cheese you draw it with green smell lines
|
salt and vinegar.
Also walkers cheese and onion are probably the worst version of that flavour out there. |
wait what flavor is blue bag lays in the US? o_0
over here they're salmon teriyaki flavored |
Over here blue is always the original, salted flavour :P So weird imagining salt and vinegar in blue - here it's pink! Never even imagined chip packed colours would be different colours across the world haha
|
I don't know what these crisps of which you speak are. I think that blue bags of chips are always cool ranch though.
|
Here in scotland the blue packet is salt and vinegar crisps/chips
|
I never really associate bag colors with flavor, considering that over here they feel really random.
Over here for Lays you get yellow = original, green = seaweed, blue = salmon teriyaki... I forgot the rest, but they're like an assortment of seafood dishes. I can take that it's probably to sell better since they're in different flavors than the flavors of a typical bag of chips you can find here. |
Every packet of normal/cheap crisps (ie. not Doritos, etc.) here is blue for S&V... except for Walkers/Lays. This always bothered me, but I don't really have a reason to care.
