When I was a kid, I wanted to be a fireman!

What did you want to be when you grew up, back when you were a kid? Have your dreams since changed?

When I was in kinder I wanted to be a garbo. I was really into cars and trucks as a kid and especially intrigued by rubbish trucks and how they worked :P In primary school I played schools a lot and wanted to become a teacher (or an author! or both).

Education is still definitely something I want to get into (collecting rubbish, not so much) but not until I have more world experience. Now I'm keen to work for NFPs and make some social change while writing and then eventually get into teaching when I'm a lot older. 8)

A Power Ranger. I also wanted to be a paeleontologist for quite a long time as well, because of course every Power Ranger needs to have a secret identity. The fact that Tommy was a paeleontology professor in Dino Thunder was amazing; he was literally living my childhood dream

I've wanted to be lots of things since I was little...

When I was really small I wanted to be a cat. Since that didn't work out well:

Veterinarian
Marine Biologist
Archaeologist or Cultural Anthropologist
Wildlife Preservationist
and recently I've thought about Social Work, though I don't know, I think I'd rather help animals than people. ^_^

To an extent, I still want to do all of these things. Some days I'd even like to be a cat.

Farmer
Nurse
Teacher
or even rubbish Collector ( that looks legit abit)
My childhood trolled me.

I wanted to be a doctor.

If it didn't take 10+ years to become one I would still probably want to be one.

When I was really young I was interested in becoming an author and a lot of my teachers predicted that would happen (they were wrong). I still love to write but I just don't have the ability to do it professionally.

From about the age of 11 onwards, excluding a brief period when I was about 12-13 where I wanted to go into geology or palaeontology, I started wanting to be a teacher which is an aspiration I hold to this very day. I would also love to take my dancing to a professional level, but I'm along way off of being good enough for that yet.

Back in kindergarten, we had to make a drawing and a write a paper about what we wanted to be when we grew up. At that age I was really good at balancing our plates on one hand when setting the table and I was like damn, I really need to capitalize on this skill. So for my project, I said I wanted to be a waitress.

I changed my mind many times over the years. Hopefully a Media Analyst/Economist in training is good enough, young me :P

I've always wanted to do something creative, though the first profession I could remember wanting was explorer/naturalist when I was 6 or 7. After that it shifted to architecture thanks to minecraft but when I fell out of interest I realized I just wanted to explore my creativity so I went for a degree Marketing since I was fairly good at business and the realm of promotion is a good and profitable way to be creative ;D

I really wanted to be a forensic scientist because of the show CSI, failing that be a part of law enforcement at least.
By the time I got to high school I knew I was never getting the qualifications for that so thats where the dream ended, I guess technically I could still become a police officer if I really wanted but I dont know how well that would go down in the area I live lol. Plus I have a job so i'll probably just see how far I can go in that.

It was either working with animals, and engineer or a fairy.
I'm here to grant wishes ~*~*~

Oh man. I had these grand designs about opening an amusement park somewhere in Texas. Needless to say, that never happened and never will.

Today? Graphic Designer and Pyrotechnician.

When I was a kid I wanted to be Michael Jordan. Since then my goals have become realistic, and I'm currently studying to be an IT guy.

I honestly wanted to be a scientist when I grew up. What took me away was when I learned that math was a somewhat difficult subject for me, and how math tied into science.

I only wanted to train dolphins.

When I was a kid, I wanted to be that dragon from Sleeping Beauty.

Now I want to be a weird mammal fox cat anthro instead.

Neither of these things are possible. But I've never had any actually achievable goals even as a child. The employment system has always eluded me, and I just am baffled by it completely. I don't know how to even begin. My goal has always just been to "exist somehow in a way that is peaceful and happy." How that is achieved isn't clear, but I think I'm the closest I can be right now to that. I just do what makes me passionate and don't really think about pursuing a career in it. (Art, writing.) That's too stressful. Basically, I've been too neurotic and confused since day one to have any real ambition.

To be the best, that no one ever was.

I wanted to be a pilot. But then i took an arrow to the knee Then i realized I was actually afraid of high altitudes

I wanted to be a veterinarian. XD Mind you, this is was before I realized being an animal doctor also meant having to deal with surgery and such. :c When I finally discovered these things, I ditched my hopes of becoming one instead.

So yeah, they have changed. Now, I want to be a writer. \o/

When I was 2 years old I drew on the walls of my parents' apartment in marker and crayon. For some reason they didn't kill me. From that point on, my destiny to become an artist was sealed.

I went through a lot of different specific fields within art though. Animation, comics, painting, the works. I ultimately ended up in graphic design. But the fun part about it is that certain projects allow me to incorporate some or all of those things. I love it. :)

When I was a kid I hoped that everyone I met would see how great of a person I was and give me money for no other reason, allowing me to go through life without getting a job. When I found out that was definitely not an option, I decided I wanted to be James Bond. Or make video games.

Kikaito plush March 9th, 2016 8:07 AM

When I was younger I wanted to be an food tester for Mc donalds.

Fannie March 9th, 2016 9:55 AM

I wanted to be Belle from Beauty and the Beast or to fly planes.

Harmonie March 9th, 2016 10:25 AM

Originally, I wanted to draw comics, like Garfield, Peanuts, etc. I drew a bunch of them, my parents must have really thought that I had something going because I was so into it... but none of my characters or setup had any originality whatsoever. I was just copying, essentially. Eventually, I also realized I couldn't really draw after all, and dropped it.

In middle school, I quickly became taken toward music. At this point I wanted to play jazz trumpet. Actually, jazz-rock trumpet, but I did not recognize that at the time, as I thought what I had heard and aspired to be was purely jazz.

In high school, my instrument-changing frenzy started. It eventually led me to the bassoon, and along with my growing interest in classical music at the time, I aspired to be a professional classical musician, specifically on the bassoon.

Minun172 March 9th, 2016 12:52 PM

Ever since I played FireRed, I wanted to be a POKEMON TRAINER IN REAL LIFE. I wanted a Charmander starter, and have at least a Ho-oh and Pikachu in my team.

Nothing has changed since.
