I can be serious, but it's only when I want to be. It also depends on the situation as well. Most times though, I tend to be pretty childish and immature. People often don't approach me because I do notice I come off as being serious or stiff I guess.

Arylett Charnoa March 9th, 2016 6:47 PM

On the internet, I am quite serious. I find there's too much humor here, most of it the kind I don't find funny. Humor via text and images just does not work well with me at all. Whether I'm the one doing it or I'm seeing it. I'm not witty and I'm not really funny because I don't know how to be in this setting. And that's okay. Because I think the internet could use a few more serious people in it anyway what with the amount of people who go gallivanting around with their odd fun and games. I find people have far too much of an aversion to being serious anyway. A lot of the times, saying things in an honest way without any frills can make me feel loads better. So can talking things out candidly. Serious has its place and it doesn't just mean depressing or negativity.

In real life, I'm mostly the same as well. But only if I'm in a public setting. In my own home (which is where 99% of my time is spent anyway), with the person I love most... I'm constantly laughing, mocking things, and making jokes. I make up a lot of weird and stupid words and constantly give nicknames to everything. Although mostly I just giggle because he's better at it than I am. Most of my time is spent proclaiming, in a stupid voice, "YOU'RE SO FUNNY!" whilst laughing hysterically. It's more effective in real life to make me laugh because it involves more sound-based humor and I react well to funny voices and the way people say things. And I like to do stupid voices myself too and say things in stupid ways. Movement-based humor is also similarly effective. I like to do weird movements and dances and just laugh at how stupid it is. And then make him do weird movements and laugh even harder. Yeah, I am a completely different person when I'm around that guy. I just prefer "goofy" to "witty," I guess.

noa March 9th, 2016 6:56 PM

I'm very goofy and silly! I love to joke around and play with my friends. I love laughing. However there are times when I'll get serious, and I know when I should act that way. But most of the time I just like to have fun! :D

Sopheria March 9th, 2016 7:05 PM

I don't really see myself as that serious a person, but sometimes I do worry that I come across as more serious than I actually am. I have a really quirky sense of humor, which doesn't even always register as humor to some people xD I just joke around about things in my own silly way when the moment calls for it, but I don't like to force humor just for the sake of it, y'know?

Melody March 9th, 2016 7:36 PM

I'm a bit of a strange one myself. I've noticed I have my Own Tempo when it comes to being funny or serious. Unfortunately this can rub some people strangely or annoy them but it's just how I am.

I do have a sense of humor, though that ends where I feel someone is being harmed. I can be serious as well; and often can be found being serious when humor is lacking. That being said, my sense of humor is also unique. I find it lies somewhere on the spectrums between intelligent, dry, witty and situational. Goofy yes, but not outright silly or outrageous usually.

Palamon March 9th, 2016 10:44 PM

I have a hard time determining when people are serious or joking, so I just rarely ever bother joking. I'm a pretty serious person, but I do joke if I know you well enough, I suppose.

pkmin3033 March 9th, 2016 11:13 PM

I suppose I'm more serious than not, but I can be serious and snarky at the same time. I have a very dry sense of humour that isn't compatible with most people; a lot of people assume I'm being serious nearly all of the time because they don't pick up on it. I can't force the kind of humour other people find funny, so I suppose I come across as pretty uptight. I'm not.

It'd be far more accurate if people considered everything I said to be a joke really, because that's how I see life. I'm always laughing at the world on the inside, if nothing else.

Sycamorph March 9th, 2016 11:25 PM

Being silly doesn't fit me, so I'm mostly serious. I couldn't do anything about it if I wanted.

Pebbles March 9th, 2016 11:25 PM

i tend to be more of a serious person in this life than the opposite
and mainly because of what my life was like in the past, i been through a lot , so i don't feel like i should joke around too much.... time is precious... your life and body needs to be taken care of because like the kids used to say 2 years ago, YOLO....

BUT
surely i do have times i am silly, random and i am not serious at all
in fact, i am one of the most random people at my school i think, it is insane
i dare to do things and say random things... and they all look at me like i am crazy and i do things that they would never dare to do....

what's the big deal to walk up to somebody you see owns something you are a fan of too and then start a random conversation....

Logan March 9th, 2016 11:38 PM

If I was any more laid back I'd be on the floor.

Her March 9th, 2016 11:43 PM

introverts with a strong tendency towards seriousness on pc? well, I never!

I think people are well aware of my tendency to not exactly take things seriously lmao - I'm rather fickle and will simply do what I feel like doing
that being said I am very intense if I consider it something worth putting interest into

Hikamaru March 10th, 2016 12:54 AM

I do get serious if you upset me, and that's a sign you have to get away if you don't want to be on my receiving end.

Same here. I used to make a point of taking life seriously but it made me sad. I kept feeling conflicted or angry at really simple things or when watching the news. It wasn't fun for me or anybody around me. I was a right little ray of sunshine lol.

Lunaris Adamantine March 10th, 2016 2:43 AM

I tend to be serious about everything I do, and that includes being silly. I like to have fun no matter what I am doing, but I also don't want to let the fun get in the way of getting anything accomplished. I try to go for a good balance between morale and discipline. The only time it's good to be completely serious is during times of tragedy or sadness. In that case, don't try to ruin someone's crying with unwarranted silliness.

I believe you.

I'm a mix of too serious and too derpy (8 and I'm not sure I can control it well but ah. I've survived so far. I can be very serious when I need to, such as at work, but I also seem to be the one to lighten up the mood pretty often. When necessary c:

gimmepie March 28th, 2016 9:06 AM

You're either going to get one or the other with me. Either I'll be super serious or I'll be a sarcastic prick who takes nothing you say seriously and jokes about everything.

Nolafus March 28th, 2016 10:14 PM

I tend to be more serious. I can joke around and have fun, and I enjoy doing so, but I hardly ever just go with the flow and not care. I'm more serious on the internet than real life, but I tend to be pretty serious on both.

Bay March 29th, 2016 9:34 PM

Outside of internet and home, I'm much more serious as I don't want to come off as immature and I think it's showing as I had co-workers/teachers/friends that noticed it. Because of that, I do try to let loose a bit more when appropriate. Otherwise I joke around more in the internet due to inside jokes with different groups of friends.

BlackMathgic April 1st, 2016 9:42 PM

I'm a very sarcastic person normally, so I'm not very serious and tend to joke around a lot, especially with my friends. But this tends to get me into a bit of trouble, because I tend to comment sarcasticly on things in classes and stuff a little too loudly and the teacher and most of the class usually hear me...

Aurora April 1st, 2016 11:15 PM

I am generally quite laid back and I try and have as much fun with things as I can, but I can be and am serious when I need to be.

Kikaito plush April 2nd, 2016 12:04 PM

I am not very serious more of the time

Sothis April 2nd, 2016 4:38 PM

I'm not a serious person by nature, but when the time calls for it I can be serious :3

Evyl April 3rd, 2016 1:15 AM

I've never told a joke ever and I'm always 100% serious with everything I ever say.

Purist of Black Water April 5th, 2016 2:56 PM

I am almost never serious. I can be mature sometimes, when the need calls for it.
MOST of the time, I am just goofy and silly.
