Braixen

Arguably the most left-field roster addition, in my opinion, is Braixen, if only because it's an NFE.

What do you think about Braixen being added? A nice change of pace? Stupid fanservice?

More left-field than Chandelure?

Anyway, I think that it was probably just done to please the fans since it has a very well-liked design. That being said, it's actual play style could still be a nice change of pace.

I... did forget Chandelure was added. Definitely the most far left haha.

I'm actually surprised at how varied the type representation in this game is, actually. It's got a good bunch of Fires and they're not the expected ones either (i.e. there's no Darmanitan or Infernape or whatever).

I agree that Braixen does have a good potential for a different play style, but I still feel like Delphox, what with its signature ability in the mainline and whatnot, would've made more sense. I guess the design really did have an influence, though.

Yeah but Delphox is bigger and harder to animate clearly, so Braxien makes sense for how the character plays.

Totally 100% biased here (Braixen's my favorite Pokemon), but I totally love the fact that they chose it over Delphox. Delphox's design seems... really bulky and less agile, not quite good for a game like this. It's not like Gardevoir which clearly has legs underneath its skirt. Its legs appear to be ATTACHED to that giant robe and I just can't see it animating very well in a fighting game. Also, Braixen does some really cute things in this game (like flying around on her stick like a broomstick) and just seems to have more personality overall.
