I have several nervous habits. I will spend an ample amount of time thinking whilst pulling out the ends of my hair (usually where I see that it is split) or any hair on my body, even (i.e. wrist, eyelashes, eyebrows, etc.) and I'll just...waste time like this. I will literally sit there doing nothing but think and pull on the ends of my hair. There is also something satisfying to me when I pull the hair from the root. Also, if someone is talking to me and I feel a bit of anxiety or the need to concentrate on their words or gather feelings from what is being said vicariously, I will start tugging on my hair or the skin around my nails.
When I'm taking tests or genuinely doing something progressive, I chew around my fingers or my nails. Even typing this out, I've caught myself doing this. Lately any time I am working on something and in focus, I tend to do this, without being solely nervous about it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ |
