You've asked someone on a date... now what?

Where would you take someone on a perfect date? Or, where would you like to go on a date? Do you prefer a cute night in watching movies, or going on a wild adventure? Maybe a long beach walk or a stroll in the park? Post your favorite date ideas here!

starseed galaxy auticorn March 13th, 2016 10:08 PM

It wouldn't really matter to me, so long as I get to spend quality time with the person. <3 Like, I don't want to do anything wild and crazy. Yet, I also don't want to do something that'd be boring like a dinner date. I'd want to do something like maybe going to a carnival or something.

i prefer a long beach walk, we can get ice cream along the way and watch the beautiful sunset which is really romantic ♥

Lumina March 14th, 2016 10:49 AM

Relaxing at home listening to music and playing games sounds nice to me.

dad March 14th, 2016 11:03 AM

i'd like to go on an adventure! i'd prefer to do something like exploring some old abandoned house or skiing. adventures are memorable and much more exciting than some dinner and movie date.

Sonata March 14th, 2016 11:06 AM

Netflix and nap.

Rogue planet March 14th, 2016 2:11 PM

you've got to tailor your date for your date

Margot March 14th, 2016 2:43 PM

My boyfriend and mine's first date was to see Horrible Bosses in theaters. It was a great movie and I liked seeing it with him, but it wasn't a very good get-to-know you date because most of the time we just sat watching the movie :>

We started going on walks around the city, going to the lake, and other places and that was a lot more fun because we actually got to talk and get to know each other more <3 So, I choose: CRAZY ADVENTURE. Always choose that.

Her March 14th, 2016 2:51 PM

I've only been on two 'proper' dates, I think? So I'm not really familiar with them lmao
Most of the time it was just casual sex without even attempting to disguise it, or I'd known the person for a while already and saw no need to put the word 'date' into the mixture

Just, y'know, do what you think is best for the person and not what is best for the date

Noir March 14th, 2016 3:06 PM

Something casual and chill where y'all get to know each other. Could be netflix n chill, could be some sort of popup event, could be drinks. Something you would've done anyway that you can share with the lucky person you're taking along.

Cay March 14th, 2016 4:13 PM

I'd just like to go see a movie or binge watch a TV show and call it a night.

Syndrome March 14th, 2016 4:15 PM

McNuggets and chill

gimmepie March 14th, 2016 5:50 PM

The best date I ever had we ended up spending a whole day together lol. Basically we started things of at the shops, chilled at a nearby park, went back to her place and finished with dinner at a restaurant.

In general we didn't do anything special but it was a really nice day. So I guess I don't really care so long as we're both enjoying ourselves?

Bellsprout March 14th, 2016 6:30 PM

a fun date for me would be going out into nature for a walk and coming upon beautiful scenary and then later baking a cake together :)

Mawa March 14th, 2016 6:43 PM

For me, it's restaurant. Or food at home. I wouldn't say no to a picnic and a walk!

... You win me with food :3

Pinkie-Dawn March 14th, 2016 6:49 PM

I take her to one of the fancy restaurants from my local mall, or go watch a movie we're both interested in seeing.

Crystal Berry March 16th, 2016 2:27 AM

Not sure if this is strange or not, but I'd love to go on a date at a bowling alley. Bowling is really fun, and I would love to impress my future dates by whooping their butts in a game. xD

pkmin3033 March 16th, 2016 7:24 AM

Shopping all day in London, followed by a musical, opera, or play, catching the train home at around midnight. A moderately expensive day out that's better with company, basically. More interested in having fun than uncomfortable intimacy of any kind~

Bobsomeness March 16th, 2016 3:52 PM

A date? Me?
Hahahahahahaha good one

Jessie March 17th, 2016 4:57 PM

A spontaneous crazy random adventure!

Beach, ice cream, dinner, ice cream again (why not?), drive around, stop at cool places, repeat.

Some of my best memories have been made by just getting in a car and seeing where the road leads to. And if you get lost there's always Google maps (you know, unless you're REALLY lost and don't have cell service)...

El Héroe Oscuro March 17th, 2016 8:03 PM

My first date with my girlfriend we had gone to see 22 Jump Street. It was really funny because we had both seen the movie in theatres before going on the date, but both of us were too coy at the time to say something so we both ended up sitting through a movie that we'd already seen. We laugh about it now 2 years later, and hopefully things will continue to stay strong cause I think she's the one (:

Anyways, my recommendation for people for first dates/dates in general is try to pick things that actually require talking. Take your significant other to a restaurant, go to the park and roller skate, do a cooking class/cook together...avoid sitting in a dark movie theater or places that hinder communication. You only get one chance to make a good impression, so might as well make it a good one (:

Nolafus March 18th, 2016 12:13 AM

If/when I ever go on a date, I think a movie would be great. I love movies, and then we can discuss it afterwards, as we get to know each other better. If there's ever a lull, then there's always the movie to fall back on.

lol I've done that too xD I agree that going to see a film isn't always the best first date idea. It's a lot harder to get to know someone. I used to make this mistake a lot. Groovey gravy that it all worked out for you both (Y)

edit: (Y) is not thumbs up on PC?? What, what, what?!
