Morning routine?

Describe your routine after getting up in the mornings. Are you the kind of person that takes ages to sort out their hair, then takes about an hour to pick an outfit - or do you not care as much? And if this applies to you, do you take a lot of time for makeup?

I'm pretty lazy, so I don't take too long in the mornings - I don't really have a complicated wardrobe so picking an outfit's easy, and I don't use a lot of products in my hair or on my face.

It takes me like 10 minutes to get dressed and brush my teeth. Though usually it takes me a while to get out of bed, especially if I have school. And I like taking my time having breakfast and tea.

I'd ideally want to go for a run every morning before breakfast, but that hasn't happened ever.

Cry.

But really, depends on the day. Most mornings I get out of bed just before 8am because my cat likes to meow at me RIGHT before my alarm goes off. So I'll pet him & scroll through my texts & snaps. Then I quickly get ready, pack food & go.

Every once in a while when I'm on my A-game, I'll get up at 6-6:30, make tea, read my book or the news, stretch & then go about the rest of my routine. I'd love to get a walk in too at some point. I hate getting up early, but it does wonders for my mood.

Uhhh I usually hop up and brush my teeth, clean my face, all of the usual stuff. I moisturize my hair for the day which takes 10 – 15 minutes (well, it did before I cut it). I usually shower and choose my outfit the night prior so I just throw them on and go on about my day. I usually take 30ish minutes to get ready because I move sorta slowly in the mornings.

Though if I don't have any big plans for the day, I'll probably just hop up, brush my teeth and clean my face, and then get back in bed for a few hours.

I don't do a whole lot, but I do have to do things in a certain order. First, I have to take my pills. Now with these, I also have to take them in a particular way as well. I take my concerta first, my abilify second and my blood pressure medication third. Basically, I take them in the order I was prescribed them (The concerta was prescribed first, than the abilify and then my hb pressure medication was last).

Then, I obviously have to get something to eat. After that, I'll check PC and other places for any action. For example, I'll check Wattpad to see if I got any messages from a friend of mine I talk to. I'll check my twitter to refresh the tweets thing, and I'll often check my phone for any messages.

Once that is done, I usually finish the rest of my morning routine with my brain thinking about writing, so I often try to elaborate on what I can do and any ideas I might have for stories I've been trying to write.

It's not the same routine as a lot of you guys might have, but this is more of an autistic routine.

I generally snooze my alarm more times than I ought to (I have lots of them, so there are lots of backups, but I've started to snooze them without realizing I'm doing it, so that isn't good). Then, when I realize that it's later than I thought, I turn off the snoozing alarms so they won't keep going off, check my email and a couple of websites, get out of bed, brush my teeth, get dressed (which mainly involves trying to remember what color I wore the previous day and picking something different), do anything else needed to get ready, and head out the door. I don't generally eat breakfast these days (or if I do, it's at some random time mid-morning).

If I have something stressful going on in the morning, I generally don't sleep well anyway, get up to my first alarm, get ready more quickly, and head out the door.

On a typical weekday it would be-
Abruptly wake up b/c alarm, snooze for a minute
- get dressed depending on what the temperature is apparently according to the weather widget on my phone
- eat breakfast
- brush teeth
- wait a bit until it's almost time for the next train
- get out

no schedule on weekends naturally. I find myslef waking up a hour later than my usual time.

Pretty much on weekdays I would browse the internet while eating breakfast, shower, brush teeth, and then get dressed. On weekends pretty much the same except the get dressed part and not shower right away (unless I needed to go somewhere in morning/afternoon, which happens on occasion).

I tend to get up like, 15 minutes before I need to leave for work- 5 minutes for deciding my outfit based on the weather, 5 minutes for my hair and make-up, and 5 minutes to get all my stuff together. And then when I get to work about 5 minutes later, I eat breakfast and brush my teeth at my desk before I actually start doing anything.

On nonworkdays, I literally just get up, wash my face, and sit down at my computer to veg out for the rest of the day.

Brush your clothes

Do you have a fluffy cat too?

For me, I usually lie in bed for 10-15 minutes after waking up, poking people on messenger and skype or checking facebook etc. Then I stumble into the shower. Usually my cats follow me into the bathroom and guards me against the world when I'm in the shower cabin. I usually dress so slowly that I don'e have tome for much breakfast... Well, it's gotten a lot better since I moved towns and didn't have buses to catch at least.

Interesting to see that most people seem to be much quicker than me in the mornings haha

With picking out outfits it depends if I have them ready the previous day. If not, it could take quite a while really because I'm a really indecisive person.

With my hair it depends what I plan to do with it. I don't wash it everyday for one. I rarely style it, and I spend at least a couple minutes combing or brushing my hair while looking towards a mirror.

As for makeup it takes me about 2 minutes to apply eyeliner because I'm so bad at concentrating while drawing. Winging it is so hard idk how some girls perfect it because I'm sorta awful at it.

I lye in bed until my bladder needs to empty then I get dressed after I empty my bladder.

-> Wake up. Consider the time. Maybe listen to music if it's early enough and I don't feel like risking trying to go back to sleep. Seeing as how I've been waking up in pain recently, I've been up a lot earlier.
-> Get dressed. I hate lying around in my nightclothes.
-> Switch laptop on and check the news, forums, e-mail, etc.
-> Get breakfast and watch anime. Kids cartoons these days are awful.
-> Do...something. Usually I'll read or play a game for an hour or so before I get down to doing stuff. I like to have an hour to wake up.
