Well met!
Hello there! I'm what you can call the 1st gen kid, being born in 91 and loved Pokemon. (and digimon of course)
I remember in the late 90's when i got the hold off an original gameboy and got myself pokemon blue, and it was awesome. The graphics looked fantastic to me at the time which sounds absurd now, since it doesn't even have colors xd. But yes it was a different time back then, technology were still far in the future to come. I just thought the whole world to explore, pokemon to catch, the evolution of pokemon, trainer battles everything was so cool, and i became a great fan. At school we used to take our gameboy and pokemon cards cards with us and trade and play together, great times. However after 1st gen i kinda forgot about pokemon and tried different games like, WoW, Warcraft etc... so now i'm really curious to what i've missed out on all this time. So first of all, i know nothing about 2nd gen pokemon! And i really want to give Pokemon gold a try as it looks pretty cool, and looking forward to some pro tips about 2nd gen. |
ooh, You've definitely missed out on a lot. If possible I would recommend playing through the games from gen II until now; it's not too difficult with the availability of Pokémon ROM games (which allow you to play through your computer) and the like. You'll be shocked at how much the franchise has changed if you compare Red and Blue to the newest generation games.
Hearty welcome, hocane. :D 90s kids are the best kids clearly lol. I've been into Pokémon since the late 1990s and we have a lot of people like that around the community here. Have a good time playing and feel free to message me if you have questions about the forums or the games themselves! |
