The Shadow Realm ~ Ghost Type Club

Hey there everyone, Midnight here! Since I'm a huge fan of ghost-type Pokémon, I wanted to create an environment for trainers like me to discuss them. If you're a fan or an expert of ghost-type Pokémon, this club is for you. As much as this is a place of deep discussion, I also want it to be a friendly environment where trainers get to know each other and have fun. Aside from the normal Pokécommunity forum rules and the general club rules, I have a few more specific rules of my own we all need to follow on here.

Rules:

Spoiler:
1. Please try to post at least once a week so we can keep this club going.
2. Try to stick to the current topic we're discussing, but it's also encouraged to have some side-chat with other group members.
3. Please have fun! :)
4. If you have any suggestions or questions, please don't hesitate to ask me. I'm always happy to help!

Hey everyone, nice to talk to you. I'd like to start out with this club's 1st topic:

What is your favorite ghost-type combination (i.e. ghost/fire)? Why?

Personally, my favorite is ghost/dark because that specific type combination has no weaknesses. There are currently only two Pokémon that are dark and ghost, which are Spiritomb and Sableye (mega and regular). Out of those two, Mega Sableye is my favorite because all of its base stats are higher than Spiritomb, besides its speed, which actually puts it in a better position to take advantage of Trick Room strats.

Can't wait to see your take on this, talk to you soon.

Aw, no Phantump? Oh well, Shuppet's cute too.

Preferred Nickname: Solar
Favorite Ghost-Types: Phantump and Banette (and Giratina)
First Club Partner: Shuppet
Reason for Joining: I really love the designs of most ghost-type pokemon, and three of my favorites are ghost-types.
Answer to Current Topic: I don't play competitively, so I'm not really basing it on that, but I like Ghost/Grass. The two just go together really well and there are quite a few cool ideas for them.
I also like Ghost/Dark too. I remember having a Sableye in Sapphire that I thought was completely invincible.

Hey there! I'm sorry I didn't include Phantump at first, I decided to add Phantump as a club partner. If you want to go with Phantump as a partner instead, I'd be happy to change that. Because you're the first person to apply, I decided to also give you Spiritomb as a gift ^.^. It's also partially to make up for the inconvenience of not having Phantump; once again, I apologize.

I also like ghost/grass, as it combines my two favorite types. I don't see any obvious benefits in competitive play, but overall I like it either way.

Thanks again for joining, Solar, it means a lot to me to see people taking interest in my stuff. I hope you enjoy this club, don't be shy or afraid to suggest something or ask questions. I'm very open to other peoples' opinions! ^.^

Thanks,
Midnight

It's fine, I'll just get one after my Shuppet evolves. As I said, Banette's one of my favorites too.

Also, since I noticed you had a Mega Banette icon sprite, I was wondering about how to acheive Megas.

Good question! You get Megas through the same process as evolving your club partners. I kinda count it as an extra evolution, so it does require the same amount of posts to evolve Shuppet into Banette as evolving Banette into Mega Banette.

By the way, you might have noticed that I put in Phantump, assuming you'd want a new partner. I just fixed that and changed it back to Shuppet, just so you know.

Hope that helped :)

Sheep April 26th, 2016 7:52 PM

Preferred Nickname: Sheep is okay!
Favorite Ghost-Type: Ooh tough choice.. I think I'll go with Banette. It's the first Pokémon I got to lv. 100 and was my MVP throughout Sapphire. ^^ But I also adore Phantump since it's extremely cute.
First Club Partner: http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/e/e2/708MS.png all the way! Am happy with it staying unevolved. ;D
Reason for Joining: Ghost types were my first favorite type and I've always wished I could travel the world with a full team of them as a kid. I loved Morty, the ghost gym leader from Johto, a lot too.

What is your favorite ghost-type combination? Why?
Ghost and electric! It combines my two favorites types so I'm bummed out we only have Rotom available that follows that combination, but luckily there's no doubt more ghosts will be added later on.

I'm very excited about what new ghosts Sun and Moon will bring especially!

Hey, fancy to see you here! :) That's cool if you want to keep Phantump as a Phantump, I'll just give you another partner once it reaches the point where it would normally evolve.

I agree, ghost and electric is cool! It kinda sucks that Rotom is the only one who fits this description, but all the more reason to like it, right? I personally think Rotom is kinda cute.

Thanks for joining, and once again, happy birthday! :)

I agree! Rotom isn't sufficient as far as Ghost/Electric goes. And since they've been bringing the ghost combinations we've always wanted, it'll be interesting to see if we get a new Ghost/Electric type. I'm not sure what they would do for that one, it's one of the less obvious Ghost/Other Type combos.

I'm personally hoping to see a Ghost/Water shipreck pokemon and a Ghost/Fairy imp as well.

Preferred Nickname: Biscuit! Because it's spooky...?
Favorite Ghost-Type: Gengar/Banette/Sabelye (can't choose, gosh this type has so many great Pokemon)
First Club Partner: Shuppet
Reason for Joining: Because the majority of my favorite Pokemon have seemed to be either ghost or poison type - plus, I love the potential for dark, spooky, or silly lore extensions with these characters.
Answer to Current Topic: Poison. Because ghosts look good in purple.

Hey there, welcome to the club! :) I like ghost and poison too, as it's Gengar's typing, and Gengar is my favorite ghost-type rn.

Thanks for joining!

Yeah, Gengar seems like the kind of Pokemon that'd give you crap, then affectionately pat you on the back nonetheless. I'm really into Banette, though; the lore surrounding this sentient plush doll is among the franchise's most fascinating.

Haha yeah, despite Gengar being creepy, he also kinda looks cuddly too. Banette is pretty fascinating too, I agree.

DarkestMidnight April 30th, 2016 9:45 AM

Hey, let's talk about something new!

What is the best ghost-type move, in your opinion?

I personally like Shadow Ball the most. I use it a lot in my competitive sets, especially on Gengar. On top of it being the strongest ghost-type special move, it also has a 20% chance of lowering the target's special defense by 1 stage. On top of all that, it just looks really cool, in my opinion :)

Can't wait to see your thoughts, talk to you soon!

Aslan May 1st, 2016 1:33 AM

Sign me up, I love ghost types!

Preferred Nickname: Aslan
Favorite Ghost-Type: Rotom or Drifloon
First Club Partner: Drifloon

Reason for Joining: Ghost types are really neat! I'm not a fan of most things that are creepy so it's a bit surprising that I like them but they're genuinely one of my favourite types. Their backstories are fascinating and a lot of my favourite pokemon happen to be ghost types - Rotom, Drifloon, Banette, Haunter... I also really like the purple theme a lot of ghost types have going on. That's pretty cool!

What is your favorite ghost-type combination? Why?

Ghost/fire is a type that I've always liked the sound of! Chandelure is a great pokemon but I'd love to see more of the typing in the future.

Ghost/dark is a fantastic typing too. Used to be one of the types that had no weaknesses but even though it seems a bit redundant to say something is both ghost and dark, I love the typing. Plus ghosts aren't necessarily evil! I think they could create some cool pokemon if they made more ghost/dark types.

What is the best ghost-type move, in your opinion?

Shadow Ball! It's the first ghost type move that comes to mind, it's reliable, does great damage and has a cool sound effect! I also like Shadow Claw whilst Destiny Bond has saved me way too many times to count. Confuse Ray is great too but not so much when you're affected and spend the next four turns trying to get your pokemon to attack.

Hey there, Aslan, thanks for joining! :) You didn't need to reply to both topics, but I appreciate you going above and beyond.

I agree about ghosts not necessarily being evil. Gengar is a pretty goofy Pokemon, in my opinion. There definitely aren't enough ghost/dark types at the moment, so I hope they bring in some more in Sun and Moon.

Good to see you feel the same way about Shadow Ball! I've had it set on almost all of my ghost-type Pokemon since I started playing. Also, addressing your thoughts on Confuse Ray, I have horrible luck, so I almost always miss when my Pokemon are confused. It would be an understatement to say Confuse Ray is not my friend.

Thanks again for joining, I hope you enjoy the club! :)

What is the best ghost-type move, in your opinion?

Shadow Ball has always been very reliable and fun for me to use. A lot of Pokémon I had on my team could learn it too, so I had access to it I want to say... 95% of the time. Lately I've been a fan of Shadow Sneak for the priority too, nice to land that first hit when doing random battles in Showdown. =p

Those look like some good movesets too, Tempest! If only I had more knowledge in the competitive team building department. =(

I see Shadow Ball is quite popular! Good point about Shadow Sneak's priority though, it is very useful, especially against ghost or psychic-type powerhouses.

Also, thanks for your compliment, I try my hardest :) Good to talk to you again!

I'd have to agree with Sheep, Shadow Ball is nuts. I love the animation too. Shadow Claw is also pretty good in my opinion, if your Pokemon has better Attack than Sp. Attack. One of my favorite moves of all time though is Destiny Bond, which happens to be a ghost type as well. So unfair :p

Hey, good to have another new member! I'm not sure if you noticed, but your name rhymes with Misdreavus. Just thought I'd point it out, I find it kind of funny ^.^

Destiny Bond is a nice move, especially on tanky ghost-types, because when they finally go down, at least they can take an opposing Pokemon with them.

Nice to meet you, Slim Jesus (could I personally call you Slim for short?), it's always nice to see other enthusiastic ghost-type fans. See you around, I hope you enjoy the club!

So, not trying to make a new topic but what would you say the best move-set is for Gengar? I'm working on a competitive team, but I'm new to the whole thing and I thought, 'what better place to start asking about Gengar than right here?'

You're in just the right place! I love Gengar and I make a lot of movesets for him in the Showdown Teambuilder. I'll give you two I really like here:

Gengar-Mega @ Gengarite
Ability: Shadow Tag
EVs: 252 Def / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Shadow Ball
- Sludge Wave
- Taunt

Gengar-Mega @ Gengarite
Ability: Shadow Tag
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Shadow Claw
- Poison Jab
- Protect
- Toxic

In terms of STAB, I made sure both movesets received moves that gained solid STAB. In case you didn't noticed, I gave you two options here: physical or special sets. Whatever you choose is up to you, but I personally think these are great movesets and they could help you a lot.

See you around,
Midnight

Favorite Ghost-Type: Gengar all the way - I know he's a bit overrated but he's way too awesome - he's strong, has a scary/badass/cute design and "personality" and as the combination of my two favorite types. He's probably my no.1 favourite Pokémon

First Club Partner: Gastly ofc

Reason for Joining: Ghost is my favorite type along with Poison, there's probably not a ghost Pokémon I dont like, they always have some strange lore/Pokédex entries related with them and I really just like spooky stuff overall

Answer to Current Topic: Never really thought about it, but I guess Ominous Wind is pretty mysterious

Alrighty then, looks like it's time for a new topic:

Which is better: Gengar or Chandelure?

As I've always said, Gengar is my favorite ghost-type, so this is too easy of a question for me. Its ghost/poison typing is super cool, in my opinion, and it has a very large selection of awesome moves at its disposal.

Gonna say Gengar over Chandelure. I think the fire/ghost mix-up is really cool, but I can't get over the fact it's a chandelier. Like c'mon.

Polar Ren May 16th, 2016 7:11 PM

Ooo this looks like a nice club! Mind if I join in?

Preferred Nickname: Ren

Favorite Ghost-Type: Chandelure all the way! The design, the color scheme, the typing... so majestic and royal.

First Club Partner: Litwick :)

Reason for Joining: Sheep recommended me here, and I absolutely adore ghost types!

Answer to Current Topic: Chandelure all the way bud! The design reminds me of my past, the colors are just amazing together. And the fact that it's ghost-fire! I don't like fire types that much so this is practically the only exception for me!

Hey there, welcome to the club! It's good to hear that Sheep introduced you to this, that's really cool. Chandelure has always been problematic for me, as my best friend uses it in Pokken Tournament and pisses me off by spamming projectiles. It also has been a problem for me in competitive play too, my friend trolls with Chandelure on Showdown. I can agree with you on not liking fire-types, I feel that they're too overhyped.

Anyways, thanks for joining, I'll see you around!

Heh, will do!

New Topic!

Create your own ghost-type. What would it look like and would it have a second type?

My ghost-type would be named Voodoll, and it would be similar to Shuppet in looks. The only difference is that it would have a more human-shaped body. It would also have a smile made of stitches to give it a creepy look. On top of this, it would have a secondary dark typing.

Can't wait to hear your ideas, talk to you soon!

Polar Ren May 22nd, 2016 5:31 PM

Hm... If I had to make a ghost type, it would be called Dapperlook (heh, see the Undertale in there? XD)

It would look like a flying hat with one yellow eye, and very sharp teeth.

I think it would be a Ghost/Psychic type, cause... you know... Hoodini :3

LilyGardy May 23rd, 2016 6:59 AM

I'll join this as clubs need to be active and the club owner has been very active in my Grass Club.

Preferred Nickname - Gardy

Favourite Ghost Type - Jellicent (Female) - A bulky Pokémon that is very useful in Unova and indeed Hoenn Playthroughs. Also it has a somewhat unsettling lore. I far prefer the elegant female design.

First Ghost Partner - Misdreavus - The first Ghost type I ever used. Due to its design I always use a female one and found a Shiny one (Esmerelda) in Alpha Sapphire. Her evolution Mismagius was my last entry in completing my X Pokedex.

Why Ghost Types are cool - They have had several Elite Four Members and are immune to Normal Moves. Also my first ever Shiny was a Ghost Type Golett.

Create a Ghost Type - Some sort of dark Pixie. It's typing would be Fairy/Ghost. It could be a side evolution of Misdreavus.

Hey Gardy, nice to see you here! I'm sorry I haven't been active in the grass club for a while, I'll post in there today. Also, I didn't know you weren't the owner of the grass-type club. Did someone else take over?

Anyways, I agree with your club partner pick. I like Misdreavus and it's cool that you stuck with your original ghost-type partner. Also, congrats on the shiny Golett!

I love your idea on fairy/ghost-type! I wish I'd thought of that myself, and now that's one of my favorite duo-type combinations. I hope that's a thing in Sun/Moon, it would be very cool!

Thanks for joining, I can't wait to get back into the flow of things in the ghost and grass clubs. See you around!

Alright everyone, time for a new topic! :)

What was the first ghost-type that you seriously trained (as a long time partner) in your time playing Pokemon?

The first ghost-type I ever trained up to a high level was a Ghastly I caught in Pokemon Diamond when I was in third grade (wow that seems like forever ago). I remember that I knew it would eventually become a Gengar, so I was super motivated to evolve it to that stage, because I thought Gengar was super cool, even back then. I was a bit of a spammer back then, so I remember using a lot of Shadow Ball when training it. Good times...

Anyways, I can't wait to hear about your experiences, I'll talk to you later. See ya!

I am indeed the owner of Grass Club. :)

Answer to Topic.

The first Ghost type I seriously trained if I remember correctly was a female Misdreavus in Sapphire which I took to the Hall of Fame whilst it was not the main member of my team it was useful on my playthrough.

I have also taken a Female Jellicent called Helena in White 2 and a Trevenant called Samuel in Y to thr Hall of Fame.

The first ever Ghost Type I trained long term was Helena the Female Jellicent on White 2 which was the first (And Only) Ghost Type I have EV Trained. As well as defeating the Elite Four she was instrumental in my PWT team and also helped defeat the Elite Four and Iris in Challenge Mode.

Hey everyone, New Topic!:

If you could put another ghost-type in Pokken, what would it be?

I feel like Giratina would make a really good assist Pokemon. He would slow time for the opponent for 10 seconds, while you can still move freely. I'm not sure if that'd be overpowered, but I still like it.

BOOMchika June 2nd, 2016 4:21 AM

Preferred Nickname: Dunno
Favorite Ghost-Type: Haunter
First Club Partner: Litwick
Reason for Joining: The fact that ghost types creep everyone out... Imagine Haunter in real life...
Answer to Current Topic: I don't really keep up with Pokken...

Hey, Dunno! I agree that ghost-types would be pretty terrifying in real life, I would still love them though. I'm sorry about not really being able to respond to the current topic, I'll make a new one in a couple days. Anyways, welcome to the club! :)

Sirenita55 June 7th, 2016 12:03 PM

Preferred Nickname: Coby

Favorite Ghost-Type: Probably Banette. In real life, I'm a huge fan of plushies and the thought of throwing one away upsets me (however I have reluctantly given some to charity in the past, hoping to find them a new home). The idea that Banette is an abandoned plush upsets me, it's like a grim version of Toy Story 2! If I were able to, I would try to look after all the Banette out there, and help them to find love rather than hatred. I also love the Duskull line, as it was my first true Ghost partner.

First Club Partner: Duskull please!

Reason for Joining: In my opinion, Ghost type Pokémon are perhaps the most misunderstood of all the types. Often regarded as a sign of doom, a reason for terror and something to be avoided, I always imagine that it must be quite lonely being a Ghost type for this reason. In the anime, the Gastly evolutionary line are often shown to be playful pranksters but sometimes get confused for being more sinister in intent. I guess I kind of feel sorry for the Ghost Pokémon, mostly Banette!

Answer to Current Topic: Unfortunately I've never played Pokken nor will I have the chance to do so in the foreseeable future. Perhaps I could answer the previous topic?

What was the first ghost-type that you seriously trained (as a long time partner) in your time playing Pokemon?:
Since I started with Red, my Haunter was probably the first (as I was unable to trade him to evolve). When I played Pearl at uni, a friend of mine had a DS and so I managed to evolve a Dusknoir who became key member of my team and later made the journey across to HeartGold. Dusknoir made it to level 100 unlike my Haunter and I even attempted to EV train it as well, so perhaps Dusknoir is the better candidate in response to this question.

Hey, Coby, welcome to the Shadow Realm! I like Duskull a lot as well, it's one of the best base-stage ghost-types, in my opinion.

Time for a new topic

Create a new ghost-type trainer. What would they look like and what Pokemon would they have?

I would really like an apothecary/witch-doctor type trainer, that'd be really cool. As usual, with my soft spot for Gengar, they'd possess at least one Gengar in their teams.

stzy June 8th, 2016 5:05 AM

Ou I missed so many good topics :<

My ghost trainer would literally be a "ghost" trainer. You would have to go into the cemetery at night between specific hours to find her, and you could only see her if you had the Silph Scope or whatever that thing was. She would be a little girl (creepyy), and she would use Frillish, Litwick and Phantump. When you defeated her, she would disappear after saying something creepy and mysterious, then leave behind a Mega Stone for some crazy Giratina Mega Evolution or something. Yee :)

Nice one! I like that Giratina Mega Evolution idea too, I'd love some more legendary Mega Evolutions. Also, while we're at it, let's talk about the new legendary, Lunaala.

I personally love Lunaala. It looks really cool, and that ghost/psychic typing is SOOOO cool!

Solar Snivy June 16th, 2016 2:42 AM

I've always thought she looked kind of weird. Like she doesn't have a body and is instead all wings.

But otherwise I think she's pretty cool looking, and a nice combination of typings that I honestly wasn't expecting.

True that, I actually just looked closely at her body... it almost looks like a skeleton. Tbh though she's always just struck me as a bat. Probably going to be one of my favorite legends.

i0Bjhansen0 June 16th, 2016 8:12 PM

Hey I'd like to join.
Preferred Nickname: i0Bjhansen0
Favorite Ghost: Oooo this is a toughy. Always liked Gengar but Dusknoir was my favorite when I found it existed.
First club partner: Duskull
Reason: I was always fascinated by Ghost types when I started playing Pokemon on Pearl. I got to Eterna Forest at night so I was able to pick up a Ghastly and Misdreavus. And not too long ago I did a Ghost-type Monotype challenge on Platinum. When I first got Y, I had a Gengar on my team with a Gengarite and it basically KO'd every other Pokemon.

Now I'm going to reply to every topic said so far cause I want to.
-My favorite Ghost-type combination would actually just be Ghost. I really liked Duskull/clops/noir a lot when I used them. And Misdreavus/magius was really cool to see when I got to Fantina's Gym. I liked Shuppet/Banette cause of their frisk ability.
-Favorite Ghost move would have to be Hex. It has the potential of being the strongest Ghost-type move if the opponent has a condition. Works great with Gengar with Toxic/Will-O-Wisp, or other Ghost Pokemon with Will-O-Wisp.
-Gengar or Chandelure? Well, Gengar was my favorite until I found out about Chandelure. Then it became a question of "Which one can I find first?" and "When does Lampent stop learning good moves?" whether of which I would use if I couldn't have both.
-Custom Ghost-type: Oh wow this one's a toughy. I would have to say something a mix of Litleo with a Ghostly aspect to it that would be Normal/Ghost. Definitely a four-legged animal that has a dark presence to it.
-First trained Ghost-type would actually be Dusknoir on Platinum. My first game was Pearl so Duskull was after the Elite Four and Ghastly/Haunter was just in my team to have a Ghost-type. I didn't know much of what I was doing at the time so I never truly trained any of my Pokemon. And then when I found Duskull on Platinum I trained it really well and made it a Dusknoir ASAP.
-Pokken: Well I don't play Pokken but I would have to say Dusknoir. It's got fists so it would be good fighting. Plus it can learn many punching moves.
-Ghost trainer: Definitely one that wears a mask like Duskull and wears a cloak. Would mainly use Duskull/Dusclops/Dusknoir and sometimes Shuppet/Banette as they were introduced in Gen 3 together.
---Lunaala..... I don't know what to say. I'm disappointed it's a Ghost-type because that means one less Ghost-type that can be truly used in creating a team as Legendary Pokemon can't breed. And I'm also disappointed that it looks terrible IMO. But other people think differently so they may like it 100%. I'm also disappointed that Solgaleo was Steel/Psychic. We already have Beldum-line and Bronzor-line that are those types. Would have been cooler as a Fire/Psychic type to keep with the Sun being hot and stuff. Also, Lunaala should have been Psychic/Dark. Either way, Lunaala has an advantage over Solgaleo as Ghost is 2x to Solgaleo.

I'd like to propose a new topic. How about the worst Ghost-type Pokemon in your opinion?
I'll start off with Frillish/Jellicent. I thought that a jellyfish Pokemon shouldn't have been Ghost. I avoided it in Gen 5 as much as I possibly could and I would never put it into a Ghost team. If I was forced to use it if I had a Ghost team, I would change to Poison and still keep Gengar. The only thing I liked is the gender-differences being different colors.

P.S. I think I'm going to start a Ghost team on OR.

noa June 16th, 2016 9:21 PM

Preferred Nickname: Noa
Favorite Ghost-Type: Banette
First Club Partner: (Shuppet)
Reason for Joining: Ghost types are spooky and cute, and I love spooky and cute! It's a really cool type, and many of Pokemon's coolest designs are ghosts.
Answer to Current Topic: Create a new ghost-type trainer. What would they look like and what Pokemon would they have? I'd like a cute, spooky, shy girl, (maybe called Spooky Girl) not quite as crazy as Hex Maniac but someone who's just interested in the occult. She hangs out at haunted places. I think she'd only have one Pokemon, a Misdreavus. Oh, I think I'm going places with this one! Maybe I'll make an OC of her...

My least favorite ghost is probably the Litwick evolution line. Litwick itself isn't so bad... a cute little candle Pokemon? I can deal. It's when we start getting to lamps and chandeliers; these are things Pokemon should not be based off of. But I understand with over 700 Pokemon, inspiration for new ones might be a little scarce.

And speaking of ghost teams, I actually bred and EV'd myself one this month. I have Chandelure, Trevenant, Jellicent, Golurk, Frosslass and Aegislash. They all have perfect IVs in all the right stats (at least 5), except for Trevenant, which I got lucky and managed to get a 6 IV (and a shiny)! Was a pretty decent project, got me into the breeding mechanics of 6th gen.

Oh. Speaking of perfect shinies. I managed to breed a perfect IV shiny Magnemite (minus the attack IV). But who uses attack for Magnezones? I freaking freaked the freak out when I saw it was shiny. I freaked even more when I found it at perfect IVs (for the important stats).

P.S. I've been using a little trick of mine using one of the perfect IV dittos I got from destinedjagold to breed my teams. I usually manage to get 5/6 31 IVs that I need for each Pokemon within 30- 80 Pokemon (give or take 20-30).

Haha right on. Yeah I have 3 or 4 6 IV Dittos I've gotten through various forums/giveaways. I can get a 5 IV, positive natured Pokemon usually within filling my party with eggs 2 or 3 times, so 18/20 eggs. It's not very hard with the Destiny Knot and Everstone lol.

Exactly, I first try to get the right natured Pokemon with the egg moves I want first, then I do my trick. I have the 6 IV Ditto and the Pokemon together, then find an egg with 4/6 31 IV Pokemon, then put that into with the Ditto, then find one with 5/6 31 IVs, and if it doesn't have the right stats then I put that one back in until I Find a 6/6 31 IV Pokemon, or the 1 IV that isn't is the opposite attack stat that I don't care about.

Since the leader of Team Galactic was swallowed up by Giratina in Platinum, why not have it so he comes back somehow as a ghost, and becomes a ghost trainer? Oh, and I guess he would somehow have befriended Giratina and it becomes his lead Pokemon. Oh yes. :P
