"Mega Bracelet" in SM
I found this post on tumblr, it's actually a pretty good speculation (credits to the post is here)
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c221/faithdragons/tumblr_o89j44paVO1sjmhgio1_100_zpsfziys17a.png So basically the post talks about what looks like the mega bracelet in SM, if you look carefully, there's indentations for more of the "mega stones". She/he states that it could possibly be slots for something like gym badges, like tokens for winning battles or surpassing events, due to the fact there's not many gyms shown in the map. I personally think it's for something else, not gym badges because the gyms won't be highlighted in a huge map I assume, but collecting different types of stones/diamonds to "summon" or "control/help" the Legendary in some way. I don't think we think this is the mega bracelet we usually think it is, because it doesn't have that rainbow mega-stone coloring like in XY and ORAS. So what do you think it could possibly be? Do you think it is just the mega bracelet? Why or why not? Please share your opinions below and give the tumblr post some love! ^^ |
Some speculate that the new Bracelet will allow us to Mega evolve more than one Pokemon. If true then the slots might be for our six Megas.
|
I don't think we'd get get more than one stage of mega evolution so soon. That is truly turning Pokemon into Digimon. Although if they're going to give Pokemon another evolution they could do a Primal form. After Omega Ruby and Alpha Saphire I can see us getting more than just Kyogre and Groudon.

I heard speculation that it could be used to activate Mega Evolution, but not the same way as we know it. As for the Synchro Evolution theory, I do wonder if it will do a huge boost to Pokemon stats, or heck even have characteristics of the trainer present on the Pokemon, like Ash Greninja in the anime.
|
Pretty sure it will be the same concept of Mega Evolution but in a different way. Perhaps like a sort of technically advanced/artificial version of it.
|
I'm mostly with Blue here, I think it could be an improved way to use Mega Evolution because it would be wrong to see the mechanic gone after just one generation.
|
Speaking of pokemon changing into xxmon, it has been weird since one of the best overused poke aegislash is in fact an artificial weapon, when will we see gun? nuclear bomb??
My speculation is that the new form of mega is something like synchro-evo in gen 4 of digimon [anime spoiler] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1LX444Quyi0 [/anime spoiler] I dont like it at all tbh, a pokemon stay a pokemon. |
I already made a thread on this topic.
I hadn't noticed the extra indentations though. Neat catch, Tumblr person. |
Interesting in that the indentations on the band look like they'll hold the crystals similar to the ones in the Japanese game logos. It would be really awesome exploration-wise for us to go on an island-hopping MaGuffin quest for the main story. This is assuming it's not just aesthetics though.

What if those Gem are Philosopher Stone ? Considering S&M's theme is seem to be Alchemy.

The Main goal of Alchemy was creating a Philosopher Stone and turn metal into Gold. |

Hey guys, I haven't really done much, but wonder if this new type of Mega or whatever is Break Evolution? You know like how we have gotten break Card in the last like 5 or 6 sets?
Break Evolution could change the pokemon golden and have the ability to use 5 or 6 moves. Maybe each type gets a special move in can use. Megas could Break Evolve as well, keeping everything the same other than color and adding 1 or 2 moves. |

I'd noticed something on today's livestream, take a look at this :
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c221/faithdragons/Screen%20Shot%202016-06-14%20at%2010.01.02%20PM_zpslwurhisf.png If you look at the bracelet, the stone isn't yellow orange at all, its just white. (But then again it could've of been just whitewashed :P) I wonder if the stone changes over the course of your journey, considering Sun and Moon is connected with Life, the stone could just be picking up energy as you go on |
Hey guys. I know it has been a while since this thread has had a post, but I wanted to point something out that I have seen in a screenshot.
The Braclet holds different colored crystals. Not just the ones in the logo. In one of the trainer arts, I think it is form June Corocoro, you can also see a red and blue crystal on the braclet. I am not sure or if it has been said somewhere. Just wanted to point it out. Edit: It appears you guys were talking about it. It is definitely more than 1 stone. |
Perhaps they'll match up the colors of the games, well the ones named after colors/shades. We've seen a yellow/gold one and a blue/silver one, and now white and red.

Speaking of Synchro Evolution, this gif seems to reveal it is actually a thing:
https://media.giphy.com/media/zxNZyNf59W4zm/giphy.gif Apparently there's different colored gems that you can interchange on your bracelet, but the question is what does each specific color do? Another interesting thing is the presence of Frenzy Plant and Cotton Guard in the same moveset, and I recall no Grass starters learn Cotton Guard so maybe it's a move that Rowlet learns. Rowlet's appearance does sorta resemble a barn owl and young barn owls are said to be fluffy. |
