Right, Lurantis will be going straight onto my team. It is by far my new favourite Alola Pokemon and now this generation is making it seriously tough to pick just six Pokemon for a team. ;_;

GMeister August 1st, 2016 7:22 AM

Definitely Popplio as starter. I'm going for elegance theme/route for my team. For my walktrough, I'll be avoiding using old Pokemon and giving the chance for all the new Pokes to grow on me.

AliceBlaze August 1st, 2016 1:51 PM

I know I said I wasn't going to plan my team in advance, but there's now so many new Pokemon I like the look of. So far, I have decided on Litten/Rowlett, Bewear, Rockruff, Drampa, Salandit (if I pick Rowlett) or Lurantis (if I pick Litten) and Oricorio. Although, this may change when more new Pokemon are revealed.

Rivvon August 1st, 2016 2:03 PM

Litten
Spoiler:
This will be the first--and I pray to Arceus the last--Pokémon game where the Item I give my starter to hold is the Everstone.

Cutiefly
My best friend.

Fomantis > Lurantis
It's beautiful. I love praying mantises. Sorry, berry-looking Grass-Type. Maybe if you evolved!

Oricorio
I'm still torn on Flamenco or Sensu style. I love both (especially Flamenco, one of my favorite music genres and dance styles) but I already have a Fire-Type through my starter. Maybe I'll use Flamenco first and replace it with a Sensu style later.

Rockruff
Still a little iffy on if this pup will come with me to the Champion's room, but I'm sure I'll use it at least in the beginning.

EC August 1st, 2016 5:45 PM

As of right now...

Popplio
Wimpod (I like the idea of turning a cowardly Pokemon into a brave fighter)
Mimikyu
Mudsdale
Lurantis
And either Pikipek or Oricorio, depending on possible evolutions.

Solar Snivy August 1st, 2016 6:06 PM

Something like this, though it's a tentative list:
Rowlet
Mimikyu
Alolan-Vulpix/Snowshrew (I expect them to be version differences)
Oricorio Baille Style (Flamenco)
Mudsdale
Salandit

Definitely catching these, as I have a thing for Grass-types:
Bounsweet
Comfey
Lurantis

clbgolden August 1st, 2016 6:49 PM

More than likely/essentially yes:

Litten
Lucario

Possibly:

Vikavolt
Lurantis
Mudsdale

Edit: Am I like the only one here who's planning on using Pokémon outside of the new ones/Alolan forms? :p

εcho. August 1st, 2016 10:49 PM

Right now, it's looking like:
Definite yes:
Alola Ninetales (oh my gosh she's just the most beautiful and perfect thing)
Mudsdale (because I can't not have a new horse on my team)

Almost certainly:
Salandit
Mimikyu

Still considering:
Cutiefly
Komala
Rockruff
Rowlet (if the leaks are true)
Litten (if they miraculously turn out to not be true.)

Caaethil August 2nd, 2016 5:02 PM

Popplio
Alolan Sandlash
Other stuff

90210 August 2nd, 2016 8:20 PM

I am not so sure yet since I keep changing the team once the new mons are revealed so I will definitely wait until I see all the pokemon but as the moment, a team full of bears has come to my mind

Monnotonne August 2nd, 2016 8:36 PM

So far I'm only certain about using Rowlet and Mimikyu. But Minior / Drampa / and Wimpod are definitely contenders as well, I'll just have to wait and see if they grow on me enough.

Altairis August 2nd, 2016 8:55 PM

Lunaris and Alola Ninetales are definitely going on my team :) Maybe Drampa too. I still don't know what starter I'm going to pick, though. Litten is what I'm thinking of right now, but if the leaks are real I'm not sure what I'm gonna do LOL. Maybe Popplio.

edit: Forgot about Salandit! I really like it, and I hope it gets an evolution.

Doriko August 4th, 2016 2:12 AM

Two Pokemons I am 100% SURE will put on my team will be Popplio/it's evolution line and Mudbray/Mudsdale.
Salandit I am about 75% going to have on my team. I like poisoning the opponent, but with that x4 weakness to ground I'm not as sure.
Maybe the new Sandslash or Ninetales, I'm not sure about those ones.

Pinkie-Dawn August 4th, 2016 5:51 PM

What my team will be if I pick Rowlet:

Robingroot (rumored name), Salandit, Alola Arcanine (rumored to be Water), Alola Alakazam (rumored to be Fighting), Alola Ninetales, and Mudsdale

If I pick Litten however:

Panthster (rumored name and possibly part Dark), Alola Exeggutor, Alola Arcanine, Alola Alakazam, Alola Sandslash, and Vikavolt

Finally, if I pick Popplio:

Entermaid (rumored name and possibly part Fairy), Alola Exeggutor, Salandit, Alola Alakazam, Rockruff, and Vikavolt

Sabrewulf238 August 5th, 2016 11:21 AM

At the moment I have eight Pokemon that I'm considering. I don't want to rotate so it's going to be tough to figure out who gets a spot.

http://i196.photobucket.com/albums/aa285/Sabrewulf238/AlolaTeam_zpstys14ib3.png

Rowlet, Drampa, Mimikyu, Wimpod, Bruxish, Salandit, Mudsdale, Minior

Desert Stream~ August 7th, 2016 7:47 PM

Popplio
Lurantis
Bewear
Cutiefly (ofc)
Mimikyu
Oricorio (idk what form D:)

Might be the first time I don't use the legendary although I might depending on the difficulty.

I suppose I can have a team for moon too.

Rowlet
Pikipek
Litten
Bounsweet
Vikavolt
Drampa

Fayt_darkblade August 8th, 2016 9:52 AM

Oh man so far my team would consist of Rowlett and Mimikyu - not sure I want to send over mons till after I beat the game a few times. You know to get more than one legendary xp

I will be! I have this rule about never using past Pokemon when playing a new game but I will make an exception. Since I will be playing both versions, I have room for 12 Pokemon on my team and Exeggutor deserves a slot. Bruxish, my starter, Comfey, Cutiefly, and Pikipek will almost certainly be on one of my teams too.

Lunarly August 8th, 2016 11:50 AM

I know I'm going to pick Rowlet/Litten (still haven't decided ._.). Also deciding on Bounsweet (if Litten), Pikipek, Alola Ninetales, Komala, Mimikyu, and Salandit (if Rowlet).

I'm not gonna. I'm not into it really and the memes are already starting to get old.

Alola Ninetales tho.....

I do need a Water-type so Yowashi might be useful if it has decent base stats...

I don't know. I'd love to use him but I also have Mimikyu and Mudsdale on my list of potentials, so they're both in direct competition with the Sandcastle.

Squirrel August 10th, 2016 7:36 AM

Right now I'll most likely be using:
  • Rowlet
  • Rockruff
  • Cutiefly
  • Togedemaru
  • Salandit
  • Pom-Pom Oricorio
  • Alola Sandshrew
Not sure which one I'll get rid of but I love them all a lot haha. Probably Togedemaru because I've used the electric rodent variants faaaaaaaaar too much over my time playing Pokémon :p

gurl u obsessed

Rabid Poochyena August 10th, 2016 8:08 AM

Litten as a starter.

That's all I know for sure so far.

skyburial August 10th, 2016 8:32 AM

I'm definitely thinkin:

Rowlet
Rotom Wash
Rockruff (leaving it with howl on an island to evolve sounds absolutely adorable)
Salandite (Fire/Poison Hype)
A Dark type
A Steel type

Rivvon August 10th, 2016 8:35 AM

I like the screaming sandcastle, but not so much that I'm gonna go out of my way to put it onto my team. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna use Flamenco Oricorio and then switch it to Sensu style when that option becomes available to me, so I unless there happens to be another Pumpkaboo-esque Ghost-Type I think I've got my Ghost-Type covered already.

As for Alola forms, I never use older Pokémon on my team when I'm playing the first new game of a generation (I didn't even use the Kanto starter or any Mega Evolutions in X). So unless there's an absolutely outstanding "love-at-first-sight" Alola form (for me), I doubt I'll use any.

Yeah pretty much. Like, I feel if I use older Pokémon, I won't give the newer ones a chance. It's very easy to fall back on older ones you're used to instead of branching out. Like I remember in Pearl, I played with Rapidash on my team. Well, I didn't have much choice; I picked Piplup as my starter and there weren't a whole lot of Fire-Types available... But then in Platinum, I used Rapidash again. I do like Rapidash but seriously, I could have used Magmar and evolved it into Magmortar instead... I didn't like it much at first but after using it as my Egg hatcher in gen 5 it really grew on me. I can only imagine it would have made my Platinum playthrough even more unique and fun if I had used it back then. Or, even better, would have been to not use a Fire-Type at all and find a different Type of Pokémon to use and try to make my team balanced regardless. I would have had a fun challenge to work through and it could have given me a fun opportunity to use non-Fire-Types that still know Fire-Type moves, for example.

A similar thing happened to me with Emolga in Black. By using Emolga I really grew to love it when originally I didn't like it at all.

So instead of being like, "Oh cool Leavanny. I love Leavanny, I'm gonna use it!" I'd rather use a new Grass- or Bug-Type and give myself the chance to love it instead.

Definitely using: Lurantis, Alola Ninetales, Alola Raichu
Maybe: Drampa, Salandit, Shirodesuna

Haven't decided on starters yet. Holding out for Litten.

Hikamaru August 10th, 2016 3:32 PM

With the reveal of another cute Grass-type in Morelull, I feel very conflicted over which Pokemon to take my Grass-type slot - Bounsweet, Morelull or Lurantis? It would come down to the evolutions before I make a final choice.

Alolan Raichu is now making my plans of using a 7th Gen-only team even harder, as if there have already been some Alola Forms winning me over.

I know!!! At least a monotype grass team will be an easy choice. I can't wait to see bounsweet and morelull evolutions.

Actually, I am planning to so an alolan forme team on my second runthrough...and raichu and ninetails are definitely on board!

blue August 11th, 2016 2:55 AM

I may have to change my plans of using an all Alola Pokemon team in place of a couple of Alolan gen I Pokemon. I just really like the designs of Alolan Raichu & Alolan Marowak, enough to use them on my team.

Count August 11th, 2016 3:27 AM

I have a feeling I'll have quite an unbalanced team, haha. My current favs would make a team with a great weakness to fire, poison and steel...

- Rowlet
- Alolan Ninetales
- Vikavolt
- Cutiefly
- Comfey
- Morelull <3.

classiccartoonsftw August 11th, 2016 5:35 AM

I'll make a tentative team for now.

My starter will be Litten. Nuff said.

For slot 2, I'll have a Water type, because I love that type and I'm sure Alola will have lots of water. Candidates include Wishiwashi, Pyukumuku, Bruxish, and Slowbro.

For slot 3, I'll have an Electric type, because this generation has introduced a lot of interesting options. Candidates include Vikavolt, Togedemaru, Tapu Koko, and Alola Raichu.

For slot 4, I'm considering either Mudsdale or Palossand. But if the Ground/Fighting gorilla leak becomes true, then that'll take the spot instead.

The last two slots are wildcards for now. Currently, I'm considering Pikipek, Mimikyu, Comfey, Lurantis, Morelull, Crabrawler, Sensu Oricorio, and Alola Sandslash.

thedestinedblade August 11th, 2016 5:59 AM

At this point, it's Popplio as starter and Bewear/Nuikoguma as far a cemented party spot. Seen a lot that I like, but not love as of yet. Still need to see the final evolved forms of few (namely Wimpod) before deciding. I'm leaning towards using the Alola Exeggutor though; it's design is just so out there I can't help but not like it.

AmetsuCAT August 11th, 2016 6:22 AM

Mudsdale and Litten are the only Pokémon I'm sure of. Maybe Alolan Ninetails, and if Alolan Persian is a thing then it might earn a place.

KipKipFox August 11th, 2016 3:31 PM

I already made a list in my head XD so much hype!

Litten
Pikipeck (I have an undying love for national birds.)
Rockruff
Salandit
Alolan Ninetales
Alolan Raichu maybe???
Lunala (obviously)

Show of hands, who's going to nickname your Yungoose "Trump" and just make him your HM slave?

L'Belle August 12th, 2016 12:28 AM

- Rowlet
- Alolan Ninetales
- Mimikyu
- Oricorio
- Lurantis
- I don't know yet

Possibily nobody if HMs have been removed in favour of service Pokemon.

Mardovelin August 13th, 2016 7:25 AM

i'll most likey be using popplio, mimikkyu, lurantis. and if salandit, cutiefly and iwanko [idk its english name] get good evolutions, they'll earn a spot too.
i may swap out cutiefly for an alolan vulpix or exeggutor because yes.
i'd also like an alolan raichu but i'm not sure yet, maybe i'll get a shiny chu and evolve it post game..?

Update:

Rowlet
Rockruff
Vikavolt
Salandit
Wishiwashi
?

Thunderflare August 14th, 2016 6:02 AM

I'll be trying a wide variety of Pokemon, so I can't confirm my final team. But I will not be able to resist another Zubat. I always catch a Zubat.

Rivvon August 14th, 2016 9:25 AM

Litten
Fomantis -> Lurantis
Pyukumuku (if it evolves, I really hope it stays cute...)
Cutiefly
Oricorio Baile -> Sensu
Rockruff (subject to change)
(all technically tentative)

manfromjohto August 14th, 2016 2:33 PM

Rowlet
Mimikyu
Vikavolt
Mudsdale
Drampa
Ninetales
Exeggutor (Rotation)
Marowak (Rotation)
Sensu Oricorio (Rotation)
Persian (If we get an Alolan form, Rotation)

This will definitely change alot because I love most of these new designs. I'll probably love the ones yet to be revealed too

Entermaid August 14th, 2016 3:17 PM

Okay Gamefreak. I am likely going to preorder both games and make two completely different teams. And, I am likely to use two grass pokemon per team, but at least lurantis appearance gives it a bug typing (plus it is mostly pink) so it will not seem like two grass pokemon will be on a team, the same goes for Bounsweet, who is mostly pink. Those two will be on different teams. Aside from having a grass, water, and fire type I like to have different colored pokemon. After those games, I will need to do an Alohan Forme Team.

Starters:
Popplio --> ??? --> Poppmaid
Rowlett --> ??? --> Robinhoot

Finalized:
Fomantis --> Lurantis
Mudbray --> Mudsdale
Bruxish

Depends on evolution(s):
Bounsweet --> ???
Pyukumuku --> ???
Rockruff --> ???
Cutiefly --> ???
Morelull --> ???
Comfey --> (only if it evolves!)

Alohan Team:
Ninetails
Raichu

blue August 14th, 2016 5:00 PM

I can see myself using a full team of Alola mons for my first run, but for my second playthrough I'll most definitely be using some of the new Alolan forms of the older Pokemon. It's crazy how much things change with each new reveal, it's like I've only got two spaces left and there is probably still more than half of the new Pokedex yet to see.

Sgt. Heracross August 14th, 2016 5:37 PM

You know, I had always pictured Litten being on my team. But if it's evolution sucks, I'm going with Rowlet. Then again, with Litten potentially being cast out, I could try using Alolan Marowak or Salandit because those guys look awesome. And I might have to break my "No Legendaries" rule for my team this time because of Solgaleo. I mean, it's a freaking alchemy lion. How cool is that?! I can't pass that up.

I am sure Lurantis is a pure Grass-type, which I know some people are confused about but at least it won't have any nasty 4x weaknesses.

I feel the same way as you too, because every time there's a new reveal I always feel at least one new Pokemon in said reveals win me over and make me have to reconsider my team again, which the non-Rowlet Grass-types have been proving to me so far (I always use a Grass/Fire/Water trio when I can get it) and even then if I wasn't Team Popplio I would have almost considered Pyukumuku as an alternative Water-type.

PokeHunterBlack August 17th, 2016 12:44 AM

Originally, i had the popplio line, pikipek line, salandit, mimmikyu, Vikivolt and one other, but with Alola forms it has become this;

Popplio line, Mimmikyu, Marowak, (The Majestic) Ninetales, Lurantis and the Pikipek line, as a final team of course.

I am playing with a different team each island but this is my final trial team (unless something else catches my eye).

Rai August 17th, 2016 4:46 PM

There aren't enough Pokemon released yet for me to fully decide... I know for a fact that I am going to have two teams. One entirely made up of new Alola Pokemon and another composed of the Alola forms of older Pokemon.

But I am definitely going to make Rowlet my starter and have an Alola Raichu <3

GayGayerson August 17th, 2016 6:02 PM

There's almost TOO many amazing Pokemon this time around. I don't dislike any of them so it's gonna be hard, especially since not all of them have even been revealed yet! But for now I'm leaning towards:

Popplio

Mimikyu

Oricorio (Pom Pom Style)

Drampa

Bewear

Shirodesuna

I'm also considering Alolan Ninetales, Alolan Exeggutor, Alolan Marowak and Alolan Raichu. Oh, and if the Chinese leak is true (which it almost definitely is) I'm pretty much positive I'm gonna have the ice/ghost snowman on my team.

If they reveal a Dolphin Pokemon then it will be going straight on my team. I'm choosing Litten as my starter, I already have Lurantis planned as a Grass-type member so I'm just waiting for a viable Water-type to complete that type trio. 8)

classiccartoonsftw August 18th, 2016 11:53 AM

Hands August 21st, 2016 10:46 PM

Palossand
Crawbrawler
Turtonator
Regirock
Clefable
Togedemaru

Harmonie August 22nd, 2016 5:39 AM

Too hard to tell a complete picture right now, as we don't have any leaks of merit for any final evolutions except for with the starters.

Ninetales and Marowak are pretty much guaranteed. Raichu is a possibility, but I'd like to avoid using it because I've used Raichu so many times. May still happen, though, because Electric/Psychic typing takes two types I usually use two different Pokemon types for, so I could use another new Pokemon with unique typing if I didn't just have a separate Pokemon for both types.

I always use the water type, so that's pretty much guaranteed. Although in OR I dropped Swampert because that's my least favorite water starter line by a wide margin. I don't anticipate that happening with Popplio. However, I also really want Rowlet. It's the most appealing starter here, and also has the most appealing leaked final evolution. So hopefully maybe someone will give one to me? D: (I may end up getting the game late, as I don't really have money to be buying games anyway, so it might work out). Pikipek is cute, too, but I've not always been in love with the final evolutions of the starting bird Pokemon as of late.

Rockruff or Mudsdale are contenders for another spot. I don't know yet.

NightCard August 22nd, 2016 4:31 PM

My team isn't completely set in stone yet, for obvious reasons. I'll go ahead and post what I'm currently thinking about using, though:

Rowlet, Crabrawler, and Marowak are pretty much guaranteed spots on my team. I'm currently debating between Electivire and Vikavolt, if someone can trade with me, then I'll go with the former. For a water-type, I'm thinking of using Lapras or maybe Pyukumuku. I also really want to use Drampa, he just looks cool to me.

I'm still going to look for backups, though. Just in case something is too hard to find, or appears too late. What do you guys think?

Mato August 22nd, 2016 5:17 PM

I don't know which starter I want. Litten, maybe?

Litten?
Mimikyu
Morelull
Minior
Alola Raichu
Pyukumuku

I've never used one before, and I think it looks awesome.

MarinoKadame August 22nd, 2016 10:13 PM

Also remember they don't show the Hidden Abilities on the trailers.

countryemo August 23rd, 2016 12:36 AM

<Starter> I'm waiting for evos to be revealed. As it stands, probably Popplio or Rowlet
Pikipek, I always chose the regional bird
Vikivolt depending on other electric types. Not a huge fan of its pre-evos.
Mudsdale

abarai August 23rd, 2016 5:33 AM

Not sure of the name but I really like the fighting type crab. The little details are so nice.
Probably go litten as my starter and rest of the team I won't decide till i play the game.

Bayleefshine August 23rd, 2016 11:53 AM

At the moment is this team but I really want to try all of them at some point :)

Rockruff - hope he does get 3 evos and becomes the new eevee :) I'd probably get three and train them all.

Lurantis - it is a pretty pokemon

Bewear - I actually like bewear. Simple design and from his description, he looks to be a bug physical attacker

Minior - I like this guy. Reminds me of carbink and I like the variations. I actually thought of a fakemon like him a couple of years ago. So nice to see that dream become a reality.

I'll leave it at that for right now. The water types this gen haven't been the best for me tho I like all pokemon in some shape or form. I would say wishiwashi but I feel like I may need to figure out ways to counter this because pokemon like that and Mudsdale will be used by everyone.

Edit: I'll probably buy both versions.
So here is team 2.
Crabrawler - I think it is unique.
litten line - I like this pokemon's rumored final evo litten3. He looks like someone from Mucha Lucha :3
togedemaru - I like him being like an electric ferrothorn. I think he will come in handy in doubles.
Alolan Marowak - Fire dancers look cool :3 I'm name him tonga :p

I have my eye on the other alolan forms which I think are very very cool. Also, I'm curious how Bounsweet and Rowlet will turn out...

I am hoping Lurantis and Morelull get better abilities. Leaf guard and effect spore aren't great especially since many other new pokemon are getting useful abilities.

clefairydesuyo August 23rd, 2016 12:24 PM

Lurantis
Morelull
Mimikyu
(Alolan) Raichu
(Alolan) Ninetales
(Alolan) Meowth

Eventually Magearna and Lunala will be in my team, for sure!

Will probably pick Rowlet as my starter :pokeball:

And Snow Cloak for Vulpix, Ninetails and Sandshrew line is kind of niche because I don'T really see Haze teams compared to Sandstorm teams.

Thank you for the advice! I've actually decided to go with Vikavolt. The Electrizer might not be available before the post-game, and I'd rather not wait until then to evolve Electabuzz.

If it turns out to be obtainable before then, I'll go ahead and use Electivire in the opposite version.

blue August 25th, 2016 9:37 AM

I'm definitely using Mimikyu on my first playthrough, it's so adorable! I remember first seeing it in the CoroCoro scan and thinking it looked odd, but after seeing the trailer and as the months have gone on I've really warmed to that Pokemon for some reason. It has an awesome typing combination too. 8)

I think you mean hail. But I do agree with you in that hail needs more love since it's the least viable weather condition in competitive and it would be nice to see it get some more abilities that could make it worth using on a team.

Nah September 6th, 2016 9:15 AM

So now it's looking like:
Rockruff
Salandit
Ninetales-Alola
Jangmo-o

Entermaid September 7th, 2016 3:25 PM

Team Moon:

Poppmaid
Lurantis
[fire pokemon]
Rockruff
Jangmo-o
Cutiefly

Team Sun
Robinhoot
Bruxish/Pyukumuku
[fire pokemon]
Minior
Morelull
Mudsdale

I am going to be sad if we do not get any fire pokemon I like :(
I am still holding out on the cat pokemon that can be bred to any type, a female evolution of sandalit, maybe a rockruff split evo fire typing, or some other new fire type. Also, Jangmo-o could gain fire type through its evo, but I am thinking it will be steel or rock (defensive scales), or just flying. If none of those are true, then I will go with fire-type oricorio?

raxic_ex September 7th, 2016 4:20 PM

I... am a Grass Maniac myself, and I've never done this in my first play through, but I think my team will already having these Pokemon on my team:

1. Rowlet
2. Bounsweet
3. Lurantis
4. Morelull

The rest of the 2 I'm picking either 2 of those:
Oricorio Ghost, Comfey, Cutiefly, Jangmo-o

Deary me, grass types are just so awesome ^^

DewgongDude September 7th, 2016 8:12 PM

If I had to go with 6 new ones, I'd go with:

Popplio as my starter
Alola Form Ninetales
Drampa
Palossand
Oricorio (Pom Pom style)
and either Lurantis or Rockruff

lunemoon September 8th, 2016 3:53 AM

my first team is going to include:
  • Rowlet
  • mimikyu
  • jangmo'o

for sure.

possibly depending on evolutions, other reveals, maybe getting both versions to have a second team etc.:
  • Rockruff
  • Pikipek
  • Salandit
  • Morelull
  • Lurantis
  • Mudsdale
  • Alolan Ninetales
  • Alolan Raichu
  • cutiefly (was going to be def on team but then I remembered mimikyu was also fairy type and I'd already decided I wanted that to be my fairy type on my first playthrough)

tenchi September 9th, 2016 8:28 AM

from what ive seen them release imma take

-rockruff
-togedemaru
-mimikyu
-bewear
-tortunator
-and i dont know

I usually try to refrain from planning a team with new games, but it's been so hard for S/M! There have been sooo many new reveals lately and a lot of these new Pokemon really appeal to me. I've already got a definitive team of 5 planned for my first playthrough, yet we still probably have at least 20 more Pokemon yet to be revealed. I love the diversity of Pokemon for this gen!

kingdenas September 10th, 2016 6:04 AM

I'm with Blue here. With all these new Pokémon reveals, it's so hard to choose 6 from them. I know I'll definitely have Popplio, Lurantis and Jangmo-o on my team, but there are SO MANY OTHERS that I want to have :3 I'll probably switch Pokémon from my team while I go through the game, just to experience the most of these games!

Second to that, Popplio, Lurantis and Jangmo-o are DEFINITELY going on my team. No doubt of that haha

JJSparks September 10th, 2016 11:05 AM

I'll probably wait on planning a team tuntil most of the Alolan dex is revealed, but I'm definately choosing Popplio as my starter, Gumshoos because of memes, Drampa or Jangmo-o.

Pokken Lucario September 10th, 2016 1:23 PM

it's my team (for now can be change after i will the evos)

Litten
Rockruff
Pikipek
Togedmaru
Jangmo-o
Riolu (never gonna play without my fav pokemon lucario, so he taking slot if evrey pokemon game i playing)

Ullion September 10th, 2016 2:29 PM

Without knowing all the evos, I'm definitely far from making this team a final decision, but so far my preferences look something like this:

1. Vikavolt (almost guaranteed)
2. Popplio (pending on evos)
3. Pikipek or Oricorio ghost
4. Salandit (pending on evos)
5. Rockruff (pending on evos)
6. No idea yet :(

RedstoneKiller18 September 11th, 2016 12:26 AM

Sweet Pokemon!

With pokemon sun and moon incoming, I've decided to make a sweet pokemon team. I've chosen a few pokemon, but I still need ideas for more. Please help.

I've made a criteria for choosing them.
Must be sweet.
Must be final evolution stage. (Sorry Cherubi.)
  • Vanilluxe: Ice cream
  • Slurpuff: Meringue
  • Ludicolo: Pineapple
  • Tropius: Banana
  • Bounsweet: Berry

Hikamaru September 11th, 2016 1:14 AM

I agree with the above.

Plus, we don't know for sure which older Pokemon will be in the Alola Dex so unless if you're wanting to trade, you may not be able to catch some of these Pokemon in Sun & Moon without transfer or trading.

Coconutteh September 11th, 2016 6:02 AM

It's so hard to say right now - I base a lot of my teams on the final evolutions, and then I usually swap things out as I catch them through the games.

Not sure about my starter yet - definitely leaning towards Rowlet, but if Litten has a cool evo then I may go with him instead.

Rockruff
Cutiefly
Salandit/Wimpod (Depending on evolution)
Mimikyu
Lurantis

I also really like Minior and Jangmo-o, and if Pyukumuku evolves into something awesome I definitely want one.

This is why I'm getting both games. Makes it a bit easier to love all the pokemon! :D

I agree with the above, but you'll also probably want Bounsweet. It has sweet in it's name!

RedstoneKiller18 September 11th, 2016 6:54 AM

Uhm, I plan to do this in S&M, and I'm willing to trade. i'm gonna add Bounsweet.

RedstoneKiller18 September 11th, 2016 7:38 AM

Thank you! :D

The only Pokemon I can think of that might fit your theme is Exeggutor (he's like a coconut tree) and maybe Gourgeist (since it's like a pumpkin Pokemon....though that seems like kind of a stretch)

stormivy September 11th, 2016 11:22 PM

If I were to get this game, so far I would choose these. {:3}

Starter: Rowlet - Rowlet is cute, and I like the fact, that it can fly without sound

Others:
Alolan Raichu - Because Raichu <3
Mimikyu - This pokemon seems so cute and yet mysterious
Oricorio Pom-Pom style - An awsome and cheery pokemon
Alolan Vulpix - Want to raise Vulpix to Ninetails. Also they are gorgeus
Smug Meo.. I mean Alolan Meowth - I love the attidute meowth has, and also it looks cool

Definitely using: Lurantis, Alola Ninetales, Alola Raichu
Maybe: Drampa, Salandit, Shirodesuna

Haven't decided on starters yet. Holding out for Litten.

Considering the starter leaks are real...
Team 1: Popplio, Lurantis, Alola Ninetales, Alola Raichu, Lugarugan
Team 2: Rowlet, Shirodesuna

Really considering Jangmo-o, Salandit, Drampa, depending on the first two's evolutions.

IDG September 12th, 2016 8:38 AM

I have no idea of what my team will be like, but I need Alola Marowak. It's so cool.

This may be a bit of a stretch but maybe male Combee or Cutiefly's final evolution because they're bees with Honey Gather and honey is sweet! o:
