I was surprised that we got nothing that was revealed in Corocoro and that it was mainly all new info or a in depth look at what we already knew.

Irc we got Mega Slowbro or Mega Sableye in Day 2 of E3, though it was through a trailer on the official site.

I was wrong. Apparently there is something more to Pokemon on the 16th.

According to the NintendoLife Site, something called 'Pokemon Special' Is supposed to be on June 16th.

E3 2016 Pokémon Special - 16th June at 7am Pacific / 10am Eastern / 3pm UK / 4pm CET
An exciting development, this will be focused entirely on Pokémon, though beyond that details are slim.
So, I could be correct and not just a guess or idea.

There's also another event this month where we could get more news
"It has been confirmed that Pokémon will have a booth at the World Hobby Fair '16 Summer on June 25th & June 26th. At this event, there will be five things.
First, Abarerukun and Rinka from Pokénchi will be there and take the main stage. There will be a quiz rally and an exclusive sneak-peak at the movie, Volcanion & The Ingenious Magearna. Finally, Pokémon Sun & Moon will be there and game producer & series director, Junichi Masuda will be on stage with a playthrough of part of the game. We'll bring more on that as it comes." Yep. I posted that in the Future News Dates thread after I found it. Almost made a new thread for it, but I was able to find the old one from a week ago.

What does everyone think of the walking animation for the MC? In X/Y the walking animation felt like the MC was taking tiny steps at a slow pace. Now the MC takes big steps while marching like a soldier lol.

I find it a bit odd for a walking animation, but that's just me. But then again it's only the male protagonist we've seen do it so far, so there's a chance the walking animation may be a bit better for the female protagonist.

I wonder if it's slower if we use the + opposed to the analog stick.

It does look kind of awkward, but the walking animation in a lot of games ends up awkward. Maybe it's just a really tricky thing to animate. x-x

But some things about the game may still change, so they could try to improve it before the release.

OmegaRuby and AlphaSapphire June 14th, 2016 8:45 PM

It could also look awkward due to the fact that the characters aren't chibis anymore.

That's likely my guess, though we have to take into account the footage may not be final.

MarinoKadame June 14th, 2016 10:05 PM

I like that the trainers got a 3D models now too and the transition of 3D to 2D in their intro.

Iceshadow3317 June 14th, 2016 10:15 PM

Yeah we need to remember that the games aren't finished and probably won't be completely finished until a month before the release and then have some patch notes a few weeks after.

I did find that walking seemed off, but as said, it might be because we aren't Chibis anymore. We also still have the run animation and possibly skates or something that may return.

Hell you get exp just from catching a Pokemon now.

Of course older and more experienced players will feel more adept but there was still an undeniable drop off in difficulty for the 6th gen games. I don't know how you can deny this between being gifted Megas like Lucario and stones for your starter when you only have to face a handful of trainers in-game who have a mega themselves (not complaining about megas just the lack of opposition who use them), X&Y's Elite Four having less than 6 Pokemon for their team, getting one of the Lati twins in ORAS without having to catch it and all before you even get your fourth badge ect. Inb4 you just suggest not using those Pokemon. Doesn't change the fact that they're lowering the difficulty and holding your hand through these games more than ever these days.

Part of the reason the difficulty has decreased is because gamefreak are targeting a younger and more casual audience with their newer games. It's why they didn't include a battle frontier for the Hoenn remakes. In an interview about ORAS Junicha Masuda said this.

Q:Why wasn't the Battle Frontier in the remakes?

A:This question is connected with my previous answer. We didn't put the BF in ORAS for this very reason. Interviewer's note: In short he means that they didn't include the BF because only a very small part of the players would have fully appreciated and made use of this feature; nowadays players get bored and frustrated more easily and they aren't interested in things that are so demanding/challenging.

It's always there, but it's the type of thing I wouldn't notice unless I was looking for it, I even missed it during the stream and assumed it was in the information bit.
Good job twisting my words. I didn't say the games haven't got easier, I said "Part of the perceived lack of difficulty" I stopped reading there because that's incredibly dishonest of you.

The fact you're going to twist my words into something different means I no longer have any interest in responding to you.

From what I've seen it will state whether it's super effective underneath the move when selecting the move you want to use on a Pokemon you've encountered before. I'd be happy to be proven wrong though. I'm not twisting your words nor am I taking this back and forth as personally as you are apparently. I got the impression you were downplaying the decrease in difficulty by focusing on me being an older and more experienced player, which isn't inaccurate however I actually felt as if the games had maintained their level or difficulty (or even gotten harder in some cases) with each new generation up until 6th where there was a massive drop off in difficulty.

Again I wasn't twisting your words. No need to be so irritable buddy. People are free to bow out of debates without taking things to heart. Just some parting advice there.

You did twist my words, I acknowledged a drop in difficulty, you then tried to say I had denied it.

Hey guys. I have still been unable to find any real info about whatever is supposed to be coming tomorrow for E3 at the Pokemon Special. I did happen to find the supposed times. All info below is also from Perfectly Nintendo Site.

Europe: 4PM
UK: 3PM
North America (EST): 10AM
North America (PST): 7AM
Japan: 11PM

Some sources indicate that it may just be a rerun of yesterday's sun and moon stuff and today's Pokemon Go stuff. It says it is a special program for Japanese fans, which I am not 100% sure why that would be the case and not be earlier for them if that was all. No one seems to be exactly sure what we are supposed to get.

All in all, I feel it might've been a rerun for those who have missed the Treehouse session? Certainly seems pretty likely.

Yeah that is what I am thinking. But we still haven't gotten the trailer/english names for koala and dog. And usually we get a trailer for what is in corocoro very soon after the offical corocoro release. But they might hold that off until World Hobby Fair, which is next weekend.

Just check Nintendo and Pokémon Company's youtube channels, you'll have everything you need there.

You know, if Popplio ends up being Fairy like some people are thinking now, it could end up evolving into a Selkie. A Selkie is a fairy that takes the form of a seal while at sea, but can shed it's skin on land and appear as a person. Male Selkie were said to be handsome and seduced lonely women. Meanwhile females who were unfortunate to get captured or get their seal skin caught by a human man could be controlled by them and forced to be his wife. Anyways,Popplio for sure has something backing the Fairy type in real life lore. GF has based Fairies on word play and fairy related stuff. Word play example; Gen VI we got a Fairy based on Cotton candy, in some countries (i think Australia) the stuff is called 'Fairy Floss' irc.
Myth examples; We also got a Fairy that was a deer. The Celtic people refered to Deer as 'Fairy Cattle'. The retcon Gen III Fairy, Mawile is based on a Yokai.

It is possible for it to have a form change to include that. Each starter having some type of form change could be what the secrete for them is.

Now that I think about, Kukui is the Professor of Moves. With us getting those form changes for the Legends, wonder if there is more to it then we think? The dog and starters could have a signature move when they are fully evolved to cause them to got through a type of form change.

With the legends, they called them faces. Rising Sun Phase for Solgaleo and Full Moon for Lunala. Wonder if the more you use these moves, the different they change, and after a certain number of times, say 4 times of using the signature move, they become Burst or Synchro Phase. Boosting their stats each time the move is used.

They hinted at something similar, Rayquaza has to have Dragon's Ascent to become a Mega and Ash-Greninja changes when he gets ready to use Giant Water Shuriken. They could be superior to Megas, but they have to build up to it?

Solgalaeon could have the Rising Sun, Falling Sun and High Noon phases and Lunala could have the New Moon, Half Moon, and Full Moon phases. I am not sure on the starters.

That is just something I came up with. And now I strongly believe, with Kukui being confirmed to be Prof. of Moves, it is very possibly for diamonds on the new wrist watch to be linked to pokemon attacks.

Pokken also used a similar idea. The more a pokemon attacked, the more a guage filled up and would eventually be able to use Synergy Burst to mega evolve for a special attack, or use special attacks for pokemon who couldn't mega evolve.

Speaking of a selkie-based final stage for Popplio, let's all remember this "fake" leak:

Now that I look back on what you mentioned about the lore of selkies and this pic it seems that a Water/Fairy Popplio evo is more likely than a lot of us first thought, and the confirmation of learning Disarming Voice seems to be one step to showing it's going to be a thing.

Of course, it's very possible that it'll be a Fairy-type, but at this point, it's way too early to say it's anything close to definite.

I am 50-50 on the Water/Fairy theory, but I'm starting to understand its likeliness from a lore perspective on how sea lions are linked to selkies. Still, when we see the middle evolutions we'll get an idea on what final stage types they could gain, like what the Kalos starters hinted when their middle stages were revealed.

OmegaRuby and AlphaSapphire June 17th, 2016 8:39 AM

I think it'll be Water/Fairy or Water/Fighting. It would however, be a shocker if it did get formes, one that is Water/Fighting and another that's Water/Fairy.

MarinoKadame June 17th, 2016 8:55 AM

Maybe it get Disarming Voice because it can manage to do loud sound like normal Seals.
