Sheep November 3rd, 2016 4:44 PM

Already hatched one from an egg a few weeks ago, but first wild!!

Maserati777 November 6th, 2016 5:12 PM

I caught a Vulpix yesterday which gave me exactly 50 candies.

Today I caught my first Omanyte.

ichiDad November 9th, 2016 2:57 PM

A Snorlax with 33% IV's! But at least he carries candy.

Catches of the day would have to be these two babies:

I just seem to have fantastic luck with the Bulbasaur line. I already have a 100% IV Venusaur with the optimal offensive moveset (Vine Whip/Petal Blizzard). I also have a 93.3% IV Venusaur with the best defensive moveset (Razor Leaf/Sludge Bomb). Now this newest Bulbsaur is near perfect at 97.8% (14/15/15).

As for the Squirtle, I've had my luck with high IV Squirtle, but they all ended up as Blastoise with inferior movesets. The last one I caught wild had a 95.6% rating (15/13/15), but ended up with Bite/Ice Beam. This new Squirtle is at 93.3% (13/14/15), so I'm crossing my fingers for good ol' Hydro Pump this time.

Around here Bulbas and Squirtles are rare, I have no Venusaur or Blastoise! I have a Bulbasaur with 98% IV's, but only level 15. Would take a lot of candy and stardust to make him competitive.

Is it just me, or are wild Squirtles harder than most to catch. They are always escaping me!

MizEileen November 11th, 2016 12:43 PM

:t033:
IchiDad, I think Squirtles are harder to catch but I think that is because we expect them to be slow, and they're not...

My catch of the day was a 186 CP Grimer, my first ever. :t088:

VisualJae November 12th, 2016 1:36 PM

After way too long, I finally got my first competitive Fire-type Pokémon.

I've been looking for a higher IV Charmander to use my candies on since the beginning of August. This Charizard has the honor of owning near perfect IVs at 14/15/15 (97.8%). Thankfully the moveset is top tier. I would not have been a happy camper had it come with Dragon Claw.

As for Arcanine, I never had one with good IVs and moveset. This one's IVs are at 13/11/15 (86.7%). Good enough for me for the time being! At least now I can rotate these two in when going head-to-head with Grass types. Previously I just relied on my Dragonite to plow through everything.

All starters, including Pikachu, have the same exact catch rates at 16%.

ichiDad November 14th, 2016 8:38 AM

I've caught a level 29 Abra with 84% IV's (14/13/11). In my experience, Abra are particularly hard to catch, because they have a 99% flee rate, so you have to get them on the first throw. If you get a good one from an egg, it will only be Level 20.

It should evolve into a 1462 Alakazam, which seems pretty wimpy for a level 29 pokemon. Is a high level Alakazam useful for anything?

Miau November 14th, 2016 11:42 PM

Since the last update, the elevator in my building turned into a spawn point, and it spawns some random stuff every now and then. Case in point, just caught a Machoke. Crazy, given that I've never even seen a Machop.

Nice! I have a similar moveset Charizard (89%, Fireblast) but I haven't powered him up since I already have EIGHT Arcanines! My best Arcanine (91%) ended up with the unfortunate Bite / Bulldoze moveset. Still a useful defender, I think.

greypoochyena November 16th, 2016 8:07 AM

I finally caught my first Pikachu! Not very good one but it's still nice to have one.

Kid=1412 November 16th, 2016 3:55 PM

It's been a while since I played Go because I got exiled to an industrial area for work for a couple of days.

Before the exile, for the first time in a looonnnngggg while, I got excited with a sighting. It was a shade of grey - very rare instance since I was almost done after the Halloween event. It was an Aero! My concern during that time was I was running to a meeting and on my way I got lucky to came across such catch.

Then last night was my next real Go competitive play for a while and I got 5 Growlithes in a row from a Mall area which was its nest during the original launch in my home country. Which is why I am thinking, nest migration might have come back at full circle. Who knows, might just be a coincidence.

Edmoss November 17th, 2016 10:10 AM

Slowpoke! my best catch today!

ichiDad November 20th, 2016 12:08 PM

I caught a level 30 Machop today with 82% IV's (14/12/11). It should evolve into a Machamp with 2173 CP!

MonEvolutions November 22nd, 2016 6:23 PM

Today was awesome! New catches include: Parasect, Nidoqueen(!!), Butterfree, and Seadra.

Adore November 22nd, 2016 11:38 PM

Lickitung! First new dex entry in a while. I'm pretty happy. :)

Neltharion83 November 23rd, 2016 4:34 AM

Ditto from a Pigeon :) :)

VisualJae November 23rd, 2016 5:32 PM

I guess it's time to start the Ditto party in here!

I finally caught a Clefairy today. I went up with my mom to Front Royal. And on the way out of my uncle's neighborhood I caught one. I tried to catch one at Otakon but I failed and it ran away.

Lemonski November 26th, 2016 9:26 AM

Today was quite a lucky day as I caught many pokemon. It was a good choice to go take the dog for a walk with my mom.
Today's catches were Magikarp, Paras, Meowth, Horsea, Rattata, Fearow, Krabby, Clefairy, Aerodactyl and three Shellder. I also hatched an Exeggcute along the way.

Maserati777 December 9th, 2016 6:45 PM

I caught a Vulpix today and finally evolved it into Ninetales. I completed my quest of getting my two favorite Pokemon in the game, Ninetales and Vileplume.

I guess I should also mention a couple days ago I found my first wild Butterfree, I evolved a Metapod awhile back but never found a wild Butterfree until a few days ago.

Rai December 15th, 2016 6:51 PM

I caught a Pikachu with a santa hat! :3 And I had just happened to get enough Pikachu candy to evolve it... so now I have...

A RAICHU WITH A SANTA HAT! <3

magicalgirlj December 21st, 2016 5:42 PM

Finally caught a Rhyhorn today.

Caught a near-perfect Eevee (15/15/14). Totally saving it for an Espeon/Umbreon once available.
