Just noticed that I haven't seen a Diglett or a Growlithe. I'm a sad person

TheSeattle206 August 12th, 2016 8:25 AM

actually caught a Shellder last night haha

Dedenne1 August 12th, 2016 8:37 AM

I honestly cant find a Geodude for my life. Granted im only level 15 but still ive seen most pokes others have seen and all of my friends have caught atleast 3 geodudes xD

Talon Flare August 12th, 2016 12:57 PM

I haven't caught or obtained a Drowzee yet.
Are Drowzee more common in Europe than in the US?

Phoenixstarz August 12th, 2016 3:32 PM

My most seen
1- Pidgey (425)
2- Rattata (305)
3- Weedle (291)
4- Drowzee (167)
5- Spearow (108)

Drowzee are everywhere around where i live, even more common than Spearow and Caterpie (Zubat is only not on this list because i never bother to catch them)

Adam Levine August 14th, 2016 8:08 AM

Let's see... I don't have Ekans, Magikarp, or Zubat.

(cries)

Phoenixstarz August 14th, 2016 11:31 AM

You must be the only person in the world who doesn't have a zubat :P

DigitalFlow August 14th, 2016 2:08 PM

Hey all,

I'm level 16, never saw a Bulbasaur, never caught a Charmander (due to a glitch) and only have my starting Squirtle.
Pretty sad, there don't seem to be many starters around in here.

Kind Regards,
DigitalFlow

Just looked through my Pokedex, and I'm kind of surprised I haven't come across a Grimer or Tangela yet. I know I've seen both of them on the nearby Pokemon radar, but I guess I just never ran into them.

Other than those two, most of the other Pokemon that I haven't seen yet are either somewhat rare, or just evolutions of Pokemon that I don't have enough candy for yet.

CoalCraft August 16th, 2016 3:19 AM

I've never seen so much as diglet's shadow :/

countryemo August 16th, 2016 10:22 AM

We used to have a Charmaner nest somewhat nearby (40mins ish) but the stupid update made them a hour further. Clefairys seem to random, seen them on a walking trail, but I guess I see them semi more often at our capital.

I still have not found a dang ekans and I see people nearby with them.

Arjay August 17th, 2016 2:34 AM

Same for me with Charmander. The starters I've got are 4 Bulbasaurs, 5 Squirtles and a CP64 Wartortle. Encountered a Charmander once whilst on holiday in Scotland 2 weeks ago but after breaking out of 26 pokeballs and 10 great balls, and wasting 16 razz berries, it ****ing fled!! >:(

abarai August 17th, 2016 3:01 AM

Have yet to catch or see a drowzee, seem to be quite rare here.

High on Drugs August 17th, 2016 6:36 AM

Before playing i already planned on owning a Golem cause its one of my favorites in first gen.

Lv 20 now and I dont even have 1 geodude yet

someguy.fromnevada August 17th, 2016 6:52 AM

I've been playing Pokemon Nameless FireRed for about 3 weeks now and I still haven't encountered a freaking Abra... like, what the crap, that should be obnoxiously common yet I haven't even seen one yet.

As for other games, here's a small list:

Pokemon Go - Pidgey (no idea why, but I haven't been able to find one)
Pokemon ORAS - Meowth (Mareep, also unable to find one for some reason)

Maserati777 August 17th, 2016 4:12 PM

I'm kind of surprised Bulbasaur are so nonexistent. I've found a wild Ivysaur here but have yet to see a Bulbasaur. Squirtle, my starter, is the most common, I've seen 8.

Only seen one Charmander, and hatched one.

Meganium August 17th, 2016 4:50 PM

Scythers are rare for me now, and I would really like a better one for myself.

My boyfriend is impressed that I was able to obtain an Arcanine when I was in California. He has yet to get one for himself.

Dragonites are extremely common here in Houston. I know a ton of people that have one already and i have yet to have one myself.

Esper August 19th, 2016 12:43 PM

Shellder and Seel have shown up very rarely despite the fact that I get lots of other Water-types (Slowpoke, Staryu, Krabby, Tentacool) fairly often. That one honestly confuses me.

I'm still pretty sore that I haven't seen one Magnemite anywhere. It's only in the last few days that I even saw a single Electric Pokemon in the wild (a Pikachu that ran away). I can understand Dragons and Ghosts and Ice-types being fairly rare, but why Electric-types? The only Electric-types I have are Pikachu that I hatched and Jolteons I evolved (since Eevee is common as dirt here). And there are at least two electric substations within walking distance of me.

Maserati777 August 19th, 2016 5:23 PM

You would think Ekans would be similar to Rattata, Pidgey and Oddish. It's like a garter snake.

Not sure why it's so rare, not just here where I live but also where I work and inbetween, about 27 miles away.

wetakekills August 19th, 2016 10:30 PM

ive been palying for approx 2 weeks, no pikachu yet god damn it fuck.

If it's Magnemites you're after, book yourself a flight to Inverness in Scotland and head east to Fortrose. It's crawling with them. You literally can't pass through the village without encountering at least 3. Same goes for Voltorbs. Must be a power plant nearby up there.

Then it's a shame the game didn't exist a few years ago since I was staying near Inverness for a week. I could have stocked up a bunch.

Lycanroc August 21st, 2016 2:40 PM

I'd say Squirtle. I know, I shouldn't expect to have one because of it's rarity, but, uhh, I've seen two so far and one escaped, the other lost to a game freeze. So yeah. I feel a bit cheated out of a certain turtle right now.

Maserati777 August 21st, 2016 5:10 PM

in reply to Esper, I've seen 3 wild Pikachu around here, and Jolteon is easy to get because Eevee spawns once every 3 seconds. But Magnemite, Voltorb and Electabuzz just don't exist. Same with Fire, Ice, Rock and Ground types.

I pass about 50 gyms every weekday going to work and back, and I usually scroll through most and there's still some Pokémon I have not seen in them. Most of these are uncommon spawns or non-existent.
Chansey, Alakazam, Sandslash, Dugtrio, Persian, Primeape, Golem, Muk, Onix, Lickitung, Tangela, Seadra, Ditto, Omastar and of course the region exclusives Kangaskhan, Mr. Mime and Farfetch'd.

Pokémon in gyms tend to reveal spawn rates for Pokémon in an area. Unless they just lucked out on an egg or a random fully evolved spawn. Of these I'm most surprised by Alakazam. I'm sure people have it but never use it.

jjc927 August 21st, 2016 6:55 PM

I still don't have Pikachu, Doduo, Ekans, Koffing, Shelder (it showed as nearby but did not pop up today), Tentacool (saw its shadow a couple of times), and a few others.

Saw a couple of people saying they haven't seen Drowzee or only got 1 or 2. I see them quite often and have caught a few (they're fairly difficult to catch).
