Stall Team No.2

My name is Chemist Wooper and I'll be introducing another stall team!

The first pokemon is..... *drumroll* William!

http://www.pokestadium.com/sprites/xy/quagsire.gif

Well he's a wall fromze unaware which you all knows of.
William (Quagsire) @ Leftovers
Ability: Unaware
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Relaxed Nature
- Scald
- Earthquake
- Recover
- Toxic
Quagsire is the unaware wall stopping setup sweepers and makong them stop them dead in there tracks.

Next guy! *drumroll* Jill!

http://www.pokestadium.com/sprites/xy/azumarill-2.gif

Jill(Azumarill) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sap Sipper
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
- Scald
- Knock Off
- Rest
- Sleep Talk

When someone is ready to get a grass mon out using a grass move shows an immunity and gives an attack stat, so you wouldn't really have to go crazy.

Next! *drumroll* Doofensmirtz!

http://www.pokestadium.com/sprites/xy/serperior.gif

Dave (Serperior) @ Leftovers
Ability: Contrary
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Substitute
- Leaf Storm
- Synthesis
- Glare
This serperior set is another sweeper and doesn't have the HP fire but glare is a much better choice I think and quagsire usually walls it.

And... Snip Snip!

http://www.pokestadium.com/sprites/xy/gliscor.gif

Snip Snip (Gliscor) @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
EVs: 244 HP / 8 Def / 200 SpD / 56 Spe
Careful Nature
- Toxic
- Taunt
- Protect
- Earthquake

So I tried to make a defensive gliscor, so please don't hate. Try to give me edits on but hes gonna break other stall teams so they don't cause me some problems.

Also, Bill Russel!

http://www.pokestadium.com/sprites/xy/sableye-3.gif

Bill Russell (Sableye) @ Sablenite
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Calm Mind the
- Dark Pulse
- Recover
- Will-O-Wisp

This Setup Sabeleye can become either a wall or a sweeper so its really your choice and well thats all there really is...

NEXT! bob :D

http://www.pokestadium.com/sprites/xy/togekiss.gif

Bob (Togekiss) @ Leftovers
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Air Slash
- Defog
- Heal Bell
- Roost

Togekiss helps in situatons where its just a no one else stands a chance to be able to tkae on that pokemon but hes also nessecary because he is a defogger and Heal Beller and helps with all of the coverage.

That wraps up your team and have a good night!

I think this team is more Semi-Stall, though. o:

Unless that was what you were going for at the start! Anyways, not much to say, but a few things:

You need Stealth Rock in your team at least, for added pressure. Maybe have Gliscor squeeze it in?

Also, try having Leech Seed > Synthesis on Serperior. You'll have more pressure on your opponent to want to switch out, which would give you more breathing room to predict on what they're going to do. This is just my preference, but I'd recommend an EV spread of: 56 HP / 200 SpA / 252 Spe. This will prevent Pokemon like Rotom-W on breaking your Subsistutes with Hydro Pump. But if you want it to be more offensive, then that's fine as well.

Well, those are my thoughts. Good luck on your battles. :]

Please tell me Hyper Cutter is a typo and you meant Poison Heal

Sap Sipper is not really worth it on Azumarill. The Attack boost(s) you get from it pale in comparison to Huge Power, and Azumarill's not doing much back to Grass types (or much of anything really) besides knocking off their item and/or fishing for burns. There's better ways to deal with Grass types, nevermind that Azumarill has other type weaknesses to exploit and two relatively common Grass types, Amoonguss and Mega Venu, carry Poison STAB.

Besides this, you also get kinda get wrecked by Mega Gardevoir. Serp is your only check to it (albeit a slightly shaky one), so you'll need more than that. Fortunately SpDef Skarmory can handle it to some degree, and also provides Stealth Rock or Spikes, phazing, possibly Defog, and a Ground immunity, while also serving as a way to deal with Grass types (so replace Azumarill), and serves as a switch in to a few other Pokemon:

Skarmory @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Iron Head
- Spikes/Stealth Rock
- Roost
- Whirlwind/Taunt

Black Kyurem also eats you alive, so something is needed for that

@Nah

Sap Sipper is actually much better because its better for stall because there will be stall and the point is to anger the opponet into making their head spin and try to get a electric move for next time making them crazy.

@Dragon

I wanted to make it somewhat as a setup staller because of the glare and getting ready if togekiss needs to come out soon.I kinda don't want the SR but I kinda do need it maybe for Toxic...
Also @Nah

I kinda don't really want that because Togekiss is my only defog/cleric so I need to keep.

@ ALL

I AM NOT REPLACNG AZUMARILL >:/

I mean if you wanna stay at the lowest ranks of the ladder, then sure. A Sap Sipper bait will only work once barring misclick. After that you have an Azumarill that doesn't really stall very well. It knocks off items and may get a burn in, which isn't anywhere near as useful as Skarmory, Clefable, etc.

Nah and Dragon have made some very valid points that you've completely ignored. Just to reiterate, your team gets annihilated by any semi-competent player with Mega Gardevoir which is a very common threat every team should be prepared for (I don't see Kyurem-B as much but it will also destroy your team).

Leech Seed is better than Synthesis on Serperior as it encourages opponents to switch out and isn't affected by weather changes (Politoed, Tyranitar, etc.) You don't have to spend a turn healing and it slowly whittles down the opponent.

If your goal is to annoy 1000 ELO players near the bottom of the ladder, then your team should accomplish that just fine. If you want to build an actual competitive team you should really heed the advice of the experienced players trying to help you.

Edit: Shadow Ball has better type coverage over Dark Pulse for Sableye. I assume you're taking Dark Pulse for the flinch chance which is fine, just makes it harder for Sableye to Calm Mind sweep and deal with Fairy types and Sub Calm Mind Keldeo.

Okay if you don't want to replace Azumarill, that's totally fine. Azumarill is a great Pokemon to use in OU. But there is no reason to limit it so much with such a poor set. Any relevant Grass-type will still wall this Azumarill set easily. For example, with Ferrothorn, +1 Azumarill's Knock Off does a maximum of 13.9%. Once Ferrothorn's leftovers are gone, this goes down below 10%. Ferrothorn's Gyro Ball has a chance to 3HKO on the other hand (chances made better with Leech Seed damage), forcing Azumarill to use Rest basically every turn it's awake to stall out Ferrothorn or giving the opponent time to swap in another threat. Against standard Amoonguss Knock-Off is a possible 9HKO. If Amoonguss runs Sludge Bomb then Azumarill has no chance of stalling it out. Mega Venusaur takes pitiful damage from Knock Off and can't even have its item removed. Breloom can setup Swords Dance and doesn't fear a burn if it's running Toxic Orb + Poison Heal. Also Mega Sceptile, like Breloom, benefits from Azumarill's lack of Fairy-type STAB. Tangrowth, Celebi, Chesnaught, and Whimsicott also easily shrug off this set.

A much better set for a stall team is the Assault Vest set.

Azumarill @ Assault Vest
Ability: Huge Power
Adamant Nature | 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
- Play Rough
- Waterfall
- Aqua Jet / Knock-Off
- Superpower / Knock-Off

This set is exponentially better even at dealing with relevant Grass-types in the tier. Breloom is easily OHKO'd by Play Rough (even with minimum damage). Mega Sceptile is OHKO'd by Play Rough. Otherwise these Pokemon (and other threats) could easily switch into Azumarill once they know the set. If they know it's the Assault Vest set, though, they wouldn't dare switch in their offensive Grass-types.

As far as an answer to Mega Gardevoir and Kyurem-B, I'd use Scizor personally.

252+ Atk Life Orb Technician Scizor Bullet Punch vs. 16 HP / 8 Def Gardevoir: 398-468 (141.6 - 166.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252+ Atk Life Orb Technician Scizor Bullet Punch vs. 0 HP / 0- Def Kyurem-B: 312-369 (79.7 - 94.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
(Hint: Some prior damage would really be helpful! Maybe put Stealth Rock on Gliscor as Nah suggested.)

Scizor @ Life Orb
Ability: Technician
Adamant Nature | 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
- Bullet Punch
- Bug Bite
- Swords Dance
- Superpower

If you can remove the opponent's Fire, Electric and Water types and get to +2 or +4 it's pretty much game over. Now where to squeeze this in might be tricky. Honestly I don't think Quagsire or Togekiss are doing much for this team with their sets right now. You could replace Togekiss altogether since the other team members wouldn't even miss the Defog support too much. Or you could replace Quagsire since most of the things it checks can be dealt with by other teammates. Belly Drum Azumarill is easily dispatched by Serperior, who is only 2HKO'd by +6 Aqua Jet. Heatran and Zard-X are fairly easily dealt with by your (hopefully!) Assault Vest Azumarill. If I were you I would ditch Quagsire and give Togekiss Nasty Plot over Defog (Togekiss is the only member of your team that truly requires Defog support, and it would probably have to switch in to use it anyway). If you are still worried about not having a Defog user you could fit it in on Scizor, since its most important move is Bullet Punch anyway.

Run HP Fire on Serperior over Glare and run Leech Seed over Synthesis. Quagsire does not in any way shape or form "wall" Serperior with unboosted Leaf Storm doing enough to OHKO Quagsire 2 times over. Without HP Fire, Serperior is easily walled. Grass is a horrible mono-attacking type.
