OU Team

I'm looking for some ways I could improve my OU Team. My core Pokemon are Mega-Altaria and Talonflame. If I am able to keep those two on my team, that would be awesome.

The only changes that I will not allow are putting any legendaries on my team. The reason for that is I am planning on making this team on my Alpha Sapphire game, and I don't want to go through the hassle of trading through other people to find the legendary with right nature and IVs (a.k.a. I'm lazy xD).

Nimbus (Altaria-Mega) (M) @ Altarianite
Ability: Pixilate/Cloud Nine
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Return
- Earthquake
- Roost
- Dragon Dance

I love Altaria, and Mega-Altaria is adorable. Most people don't use Mega-Altaria, so I'm hoping he'll surprise a lot of people. I went with an offensive Dragon Dance set. Dragon Dance for increasing attack and speed. Earthquake to get rid of rock and steel threats. Return for fairy STAB, and Roost to heal.

Mixcoatl (Talonflame) (M) @ Choice Band
Ability: Gale Wings
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Brave Bird
- Flare Blitz
- Roost
- U-turn

Just another basic Talonflame set. There's not much else I have to say.

Knives (Skarmory) (F) @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 232 SpD / 24 Spe
Careful Nature
- Roost
- Defog
- Taunt
- Iron Head

The typical Skarmory utility. Taunt to shut down status moves, and Roost to spam healing up its HP. Iron Head for STAB damage, and flinching. I also needed a resistant defogger to get rid of Stealth Rock and Spike threats.

Serket (Gliscor) (F) @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
EVs: 252 HP / 184 SpD / 72 Spe
Careful Nature
- Protect
- Swords Dance
- Baton Pass
- Earthquake

A bulky Gliscor to stall opponents. Her main use is Swords Dance and Baton Pass to increase attack for Altaria, Talonflame, or Weavile.

Snow Queen (Weavile) (F) @ Life Orb
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Ice Shard
- Knock Off
- Icicle Crash
- Low Kick

A revenge killer for my flying types. She has the typical Weavile set. I don't have much to say here either.

Wishy Washy (Rotom-Wash) @ Chesto Berry
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 248 HP / 8 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Hydro Pump
- Sleep Talk
- Rest

Well, I needed a special attacker, and a non-flying type lead. My opponents might think I would use a flying type like Skarmory or Gliscor for a lead, so Rotom-W is a nice way to confuse anyone who's unprepared. The Rest and Chesto Berry over Pain Split is for more resistance. Sleep Talk is for attacking during sleep after Rotom-W used up the Chesto Berry for the first time Rest was used.

What kind of rules will you be playing with? Smogon?

Not sure what the point of Roost on CB Talonflame is. I would change it to Steel Wing if you're still planning on using Choice Band, or change the item if you're going to be using Roost.

The Rotom set is really odd. You're running Sleep Talk and also Chesto Berry. There's no reason to run both. If I were you, I would run Leftovers and replace Sleep Talk with Will-O-Wisp.

I'm also not too keen on the SD Pass Gliscor. I feel like Facade or Ice Fang would work better. But maybe it's what you wanted to build around, so go ahead and keep it.

Again, I'm not too sure what kind of format you're playing in. If you're going to play Smogon ORAS OU, I would just go on Showdown since a lot more people play there. That way you could also use legendaries since it's a battle simulator.

Let me say its a nice looking team it works pretty nicely the only issue I see you may having is a team with very physical defensive pokemon. The reason why is because most of your pokemon physical attackers and if you lose your rotom-wash early in the battle and they still have a physical wall it could be gg but no pokemon team is 100% perfect if you like this team make it work for you and have fun doing it.

You need something with Stealth Rock. You can fit it on Skarmory in place of Taunt.

As Altaria is already boosting its Attack with Dragon Dance and Talonflame is already rocking a Choice Band for the Attack boost, Baton Pass is unnecessary on Gliscor. Use one of its stall breaking sets:
-Swords Dance
-Earthquake
-Knock Off/Facade
-Roost
Nature: Careful
EVs: 244 HP/8 Def/200 SDef/56 Spe
Item: Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal

or
-Earthquake/Knock Off
-Taunt
-Toxic
-Roost
Nature: Careful
EVs: 244 HP/8 Def/200 SDef/56 Spe
Item: Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal

ChestoRest is unnecessary on Wash Rotom if it's running Sleep Talk. Drop it for Will-o-Wisp. If you're insistent on using Sleep Talk, Leftovers is still the better item for even better passive recovery. Remember that ChestoRest is a one-off thing. A physically defensive spread is also preferred so it can deal with Talonflame better.

Putting Volt Switch>Thunderbolt on Rotom gives you some more momentum, which works well with BP on Gliscor. Also put Will-o-Wisp>Sleep Talk. You could also run Stealth Rock>Protect on Gliscor. Though, I'm not sure what you wanna accomplish with Skarm, just seems to sit there doing nothing most of the time. I suppose, you could run Stealth Rock on it and put some coverage/Knock Off on Gliscor.
