(also s/o to achromatic for the css) |
I'll kick it off.
Day 1: A song you like with a color in the title. Childish Gambino - Redbone "...Awaken, My Love!" (2016) This song is my favorite off Childish Gambino's newest album. It just flows together so well and is so smooth, and every part of the track blends together so well. If anyone's interested in him, I'd say to listen to this song. It's absolutely beautiful and so is the rest of this album. |
Day 1: A song you like with a color in the title.
Green Mile - SZA Z (2014) This track is so good. It's such a cold song in both the lyrics and how it sounds musically. And it was the first song that came to mind when I saw the theme was a song with a color in the title, ahaha. Check it out if you need something brutally smooth. That's the best way to describe Green Mile. |
Day 1: A song you like with a color in the title.
David Bowie - Blackstar ★ (2016) Even in his 60s Bowie was still making amazing music. I love how this song changes in the middle and how the imagery of the music video along with the lyrics still makes me wonder exactly what the song is talking about while at the same time I sort of know what it's about without really being able to put it into words. |
This is my kind of challenge!
Day 1: A song you like with a color in the title. "Behind Blue Eyes" by The Who. Day 2: A song you like with a number in the title. "Summer Of '69" by Bryan Adams. |
ooooh, great idea!
Day 1: A song you like with a color in the title "Pink Moon" by Nick Drake Day 2: A song you like with a number in the title "Two Women" by The Angels of Light |
Day 1: A song you like with a color in the title
I just binged a bunch of Hendrix yesterday, but I'm gonna give this one to The Cure's cover of Purple Haze Day 2: A song you like with a number in the title Throwin back to my Marianas Trench days with their (newer..ish?) song Pop Music 101 These challenges are always so fun but kill me bc I literally forget every song I've ever loved when confronted with these prompts. |
Day 3: A song that reminds you of summertime.
I was going to put "Summertime" by Bon Jovi here, since that is the first thing that came to mind once I saw the word, however, instead I will put... "Sunset In July" by 311. |
Day 1: A song you like with a color in the title
Taylor Swift - Red (even though I listen to a nightcored cover) Day 2: A song you like with a number in the title Three Days Grace - One-X Here is my favorite band, not my favorite music of them but I like this one too :) Day 3: A song that reminds you of summertime Tough question on that one D: I'd say Lucenzo ft Don Omar - Danza Kuduro |
Day 3: A song that reminds you of summertime
I'll give this one to American Woman by Lenny Kravitz since I'm fairly certain this song always made an appearance at our big summer barbecues. I'm also including Smooth by Santana and Rob Thomas. The opening guitar itself makes me want to be on a beach. |
Day 3: A song that reminds you of summertime
SO MANY. I'm narrowing it to three. oops. "Feel It All Around" by Washed Out "Since I Left You" by The Avalanches "Walk on By" by Isaac Hayes there are about 64 other songs I want to put here. this is disappointing |
day 2:
Kendrick Lamar feat. SZA - Untitled 04 Untitled, Unmastered. (2015) day 3: Kanye West feat. Kid Cudi - Father Stretch My Hands pt. 1 The Life of Pablo (2016) one of my favorite summer memories was being out with my cousins at 1am in oakland blasting this in a sienna. good times |
Day 2: A song you like with a number in the title.
44 Bars - Logic Bobby Tarantino (2016) There are 44 bars in this song. Just saying. Day 3: A song that reminds you of summertime. Black Thumbnail - Kings of Leon Because of the Times (2008) There's a young 17 year old me, driving down the highway in a blue Ford Taurus on the way to band camp. First year of college marching band. The AC is broken and the windows are all down, iPod playing over the radio as loud as the volume will go. On the way to good times, not realizing just how much they'd be missed six years later. Time flies. |
Day 4: A song that needs to be played LOUD.
"Mama Told Me Not To Come" by Tom Jones and Stereophonics. I just blast this song whenever I play it. |
|
Day 4: A song that needs to be played LOUD
Evanescence - Bring Me To Life Unfortunately, I can't play it too much loud |
Day 4: A song that needs to be played LOUD
I feel MOST songs need to be played loudly and I will defend that statement in a court of law in front of a jury of my peers if I need to. That being said, here are some that I will Absolutely turn up: Your Hand in Mine by Explosions in the sky. The song is beautiful and instrumental and has a very slow and gradual build, but once it hits around 4:15 into the song YOU BETTER TURN IT UP to experience it the way it needs to be. This song is so pretty. Caraphernelia by Pierce the Viel. Turn this UP when you are romantically jaded and angsty and scream along to Licking your fingers like you're done and you've decided there is so much more than me. Perfect every time. Heroes by David Bowie because just wtf happened in your life if you're NOT listening to this on max volume. |
