blue December 26th, 2016 5:37 AM

yeah, celebrity deaths for this year have been shocking to say the least.

Gabri December 26th, 2016 5:44 AM

Honestly, celebrity deaths didn't faze me nearly as much as the rest.

Caite-chan December 26th, 2016 7:24 AM

I was quite surprised at who died this year. Thank god this year is almost over with.

EC December 26th, 2016 7:51 AM

Last year it was 50+ degrees on Christmas.

Today it is 50+ degrees the day after Christmas. Fine with me.

Mawa December 26th, 2016 8:22 AM

I didn't come to PC to tell merry Christmas to my friends here :(

Well, Merry Christmas everyone :3

It didn't help most of the high profile ones died before age 70. That is definitely something to be dreading about, because it easily reminds me of things like the 27 Club where celebrities died at relatively young ages.

This Christmas was a stinker for me. In fact, the Australian summer this season alone has seen me sweating constantly like no other.

Omg it's so mild here, I went to get dinner with my winter coat on and nearly died ;;

Gabri December 26th, 2016 2:23 PM

Weather again! :D

MadHatter62 December 26th, 2016 3:36 PM

It was 50 degrees Fahrenheit here in Michigan, so I went to the beach. :D

Sothis December 26th, 2016 3:43 PM

I do prefer cold to warm, since you can warm up easily, myself.

I could say yes but it's been raining most of the afternoon and melted almost all of our snow that hasn't been piled up. We should be getting more this weekend though.

Gabri December 26th, 2016 4:01 PM

Freezing your ass off is a necessary condition for snow, there can't be one without the other

Don't forget the icy conditions that'll soon come later tonight/tomorrow morning! Morning rush hour should be fun. ;)

With all the claims of you loving snow, one would think that you have several times jumped into a mound of snow and started making snow Angies everywhere :o

Hikamaru December 26th, 2016 4:26 PM

I always viewed Angelica as someone who would want loads of snow.

Caite-chan December 26th, 2016 4:35 PM

Well I always said snow was only good for Christmas and that was it. I'm not in school anymore so I can't get snow days.

Hikamaru December 26th, 2016 4:37 PM

Since it's summer for me at this part of the year, I seem to only want to think about cold things such as ice cream, cold drinks and water.

Sothis December 26th, 2016 4:39 PM

Our summers would be ok if not for heat waves >_>

Caite-chan December 26th, 2016 4:42 PM

It wouldn't be so bad in my house if I had AC. I have a ceiling fan and the wind. lol.

blue December 26th, 2016 4:42 PM

our summers would be ok if it were for heatwaves

Hikamaru December 26th, 2016 4:44 PM

Well, heatwaves are starting to become not very unheard of in Australia for years now.

Gabri December 26th, 2016 4:44 PM

Our summers would be great if this country wasn't entirely ravaged by wildfires every. fucking. summer.

Caite-chan December 26th, 2016 4:46 PM

I could do without the heatwaves unless there was a way to keep cool.

Depends on what you call cold

During the winter it easily gets below 10ºC throughout the entire country, and in the interior mountain areas it snows a few times.

During summer, the wildfires make the heat waves worse. There was an entire consecutive week this last August when, while half the north was on fire, this area had over 40ºC during the day and 30ºC at night. It was fucking unbearable.

Edit: If you have trouble picturing what 10ºC is, just think that 0ºC is the freezing point of water, and 36-37ºC is the average temperature of the human body

Sothis December 26th, 2016 5:01 PM

I love to swim, but i'm really self conscious so...

Caite-chan December 26th, 2016 5:02 PM

I can't swim worth a damn. I was always the slowest one in my gym class.

Sothis December 26th, 2016 5:04 PM

I...I can, but I'm so slow and I get tired easily. I'd suck at a rescue

Gabri December 26th, 2016 5:07 PM

I can't even swim. Was never interested in learning and never really mastered the art of keeping my chest afloat.I'm deathly afraid of even the possibility of drowning, and I can't hold my eyes open underwater.

Gabri December 26th, 2016 5:14 PM

I'm fine with pools if they're not deep enough and I can walk with half my torso over the water line. If I can just relax, or sit in stairs while drinking something it's perfectly fine.

We've had wasp nests in our attic before and it's not fun. Luckily we don't get them anymore but yeah, they're bastards.

Caite-chan December 26th, 2016 5:42 PM

We could have a rare phenomenon in the winter called Thunder Snow where you can hear thunder even while it's snowing.

Sothis December 26th, 2016 5:53 PM

I thought thunderstorms were a summer exclusive thing lol

MadHatter62 December 26th, 2016 5:56 PM

Ever have a blizzard so white at night it looked like day time outside? We had one back when I lived in Nova Scotia.

Caite-chan December 26th, 2016 6:10 PM

I don't think we had a blizzard per say just a crap ton of snow a few weeks before Christmas. It was enough to get me out of going to work...lol.

Move over Trump. This is the real TIME Person of the Year, because Year of the Reaper for sure.

Gabri December 27th, 2016 8:20 AM

I was honestly more affected by the shit that's going on in Syria and all this refugee dilemma, and airplane crashes and all that than the deaths of a few celebrities that honestly don't mean much to me. I can respect their influence, but to me personally, only Lemmy, Alan Rickman and Nick Menza had me truly saddened.

(Note: Lemmy died still in 2015, on the 28th of December)

But anyways, did people really expect that having the universe give the Euro 2016 to Portugal and players like Éder and Eliseu would come for free? It would obviously demand sacrifices.

Meganium December 27th, 2016 9:34 AM

my co-workers play CSGO and they are trying their hardest to get me to play it.

My last post had a horrible timing eh

Hikamaru December 27th, 2016 10:58 AM

I actually feel bad for predicting her death. It's like I saw it coming for some reason.

MadHatter62 December 27th, 2016 11:13 AM

R.I.P. Princess Leia...may the force be with you...

Hikamaru December 27th, 2016 11:17 AM

It's notable most of the celebrities that died in 2016 were aged under 70, or at least most of the ones that made the headlines were. Drugs and alcohol seemed to have commonly played a part as well in most of the deaths.

EC December 27th, 2016 11:34 AM

Between seeing "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" on Christmas Eve and "Passengers" today, I thought that "Rogue One" was kinda boring for the first hour of the movie and "Passengers" was a chick flick in space (not that chick flicks are bad, just not my taste). I'm having trouble deciding which one was better.

blue December 27th, 2016 3:57 PM

i think passengers looks decent from the trailer. i watched a movie called lights out last night and i ended up walking around in the dark with my phone torch on lmao. i never usually get freaked out by horror movies but that one kinda disturbed me.

Still, he's always going to be the grim reaper of sport. Surprised he didn't "kill" George Michael or Carrie Fisher, but definitely was jokingly blamed for the two biggest deaths at the start of the year.
