Aquacorde December 27th, 2016 9:57 PM

hello yes i am here! today i weighed in at 243.5 and i want to lose 20lbs, preferably sooner rather than later! i am mostly diet-focused but am including some exercise!

moon December 27th, 2016 11:43 PM

LOL sure I'm in but I'm not gonna tell you my current weight or what I'm aiming for but I'll cheer you all and myself on d:

I'm not huge but I certainly don't move as much as I eat, so for the sake of my overall health, losing some kilos would be gud.

Nihilego December 28th, 2016 5:31 AM

yeah it'd be nice if this was for gaining weight too. it's something i really badly need to do and there are so few decent resources out there for people like me who need / want to gain weight but really struggle in doing so ):

MadHatter62 December 28th, 2016 6:36 AM

Weight loss list has been updated and a weight gain progress list has been added.

blue December 28th, 2016 7:00 AM

i'd definitely like to gain some weight. that's something that i've been struggling with for some time now.

Aquacorde December 28th, 2016 7:12 AM

Ooh so weight gain people- what are your plans? Since my whole family has always struggled to lose rather than gain I don't know much about that side of the coin. What has worked for you in the past, and what are you gonna try now?

i've stayed around the same weight for years now and it obviously has something to do with fast metabolism and the food i'm currently eating. i'm gonna try look around for some tips but into the new year, i'd definitely like to gain a few extra pounds at the very least, just so i can break out of the cycle of being the same weight constantly. more calories seems to be the most effective so i guess i'll have a look into that!

Aquacorde December 28th, 2016 7:40 AM

So high-cal diet yes good. It's best to go for calorically dense food, right? So yoi're not just constantly eating. But not empty calories like junk food. What do you plan on eating more of? And does an exercise routine help/factor in? I know muscle is better than fat and heavier than fat as well but also more muscle burns more calories so I'm not really sure how it balances?

donavannj December 28th, 2016 12:13 PM

So, I'm totally in.

I just can't tell you my exact weight because I, quite frankly, don't know it. I know what it was on Monday, but my weight tends to be anywhere within a specific 10 lb range (250 lbs to 260 lbs) at any given moment. I need to focus in on that weight loss again so I can start losing weight again instead of being all over a specific range because I indulge some and then go easy on food in alternating stretches.

I've got a soft goal of 225 lbs. End goal is preferably stabilizing around 200 lbs.

I've never posted about weight loss/gain either

Mawa December 28th, 2016 12:52 PM

I would like to lose some weight, not that much tho. But I would love to tone up my body. Just to say it doesn't giggle as much :P If anyone has some tips for me, I'll take them!

Somewhere_ December 28th, 2016 10:37 PM

Add me to this!

Okay, so I'm still 17 and probably have like an inch or two I can grow, so I dont necessarily have to lose weight because I can "grow into it" so to speak.

I haven't weighed myself recently, but I think I'm probably like 210 lbs. Im currently a little over 6'3.

My goal is just to lose fat and get into shape. Ill wager that something like 190-200 lbs at 6'4 would be good. But I'm not great at biology, nor have i researched this. So if anyone knows anything, that would be awesome!

Nina December 28th, 2016 10:41 PM

283lbs weighed yesterday.

I have no 'target' goal. I was comfortable in the past at 260, but obviously that's still considered unhealthy, so I want to try to get into better habits and get fit/more stamina moreso that watch my weight.

I feel this abt being comfortable at a still unhealthy weight. Considering my height and body type I technically should be more like... 160lbs but that's a whole! 80lbs! Less than what I weigh now! So let's just take it slow, one step at a time. :>

ahaha, i'm not actively trying to gain weight right now (op, if you read this, you may as well as take me off the weight gain list). it's a way down my priority list - i "want" to gain weight but i'm not actually taking the steps to make it happen yet

thing is, i'm not convinced i could even if i reallllly wanted to. gaining weight is expensive like damn. i have very very little money to spare on food and what i do spend on it is just about enough to keep me ticking over; i doubt i could afford throwing even more money at food to try and actively gain weight

what are anyone's recommendations for cheap food that helps gain weight? i don't wanna be too unhealthy about it so fast food is out of the question (also it's really, really expensive over here) but i'd like to hear any cheap ideas anyone's got that won't also clog my insides up with crap :)

I think brown rice is a great cheap addition to your diet! It's versatile and fairly calorically dense. Also you may want to go for various nuts/seeds and nut butters. Also maybe... cook everything in olive oil?

Star-Lord December 30th, 2016 11:08 AM

I'm approx 205 lbs right now. I actually carry my weight very well (A bunch is muscle), but I'm thinking of tacking off about 15 lbs or so. It's less a weight thing for me as much of a "Hey, I want to see those first few abs". But I think around 180? Should be doable. If I hate how my body looks at 180 I'll be gaining weight trust and believe lol.

List is updated, but 205-15=190 so I put 180-190.

Ok, why not. My start weight is 136 lbs (if I calculated from kilos correctly) and my goal is 114 lbs. That's losing 10 kg and I'm not even sure it'll be possible lol but hey, aim for the stars and you'll land in the treetops, right?

donavannj January 4th, 2017 4:52 PM

Just dropping in with my first weekly weigh-in: 255.6 lbs.

A solid start. Just need to make sure my weight stays on a downswing.

Juno January 8th, 2017 11:11 PM

Hello, joining the weight gain club! It fluctuates a bit daily but current weigh in is 87 lbs - I know it doesn't seem like a huge difference but I'd like to get back to around 95 lbs, which was my normal weight throughout most of my life (I'm 5'0" so I'm not like horribly underweight for my size), but I somehow dropped a bunch of weight last year and have been slowly gaining it back.

My doctor told me I need more iron, so my only "plan" so far has just been to eat more iron rich foods, which has worked a bit - at my lowest I was 83 lbs, so I've definitely made some progress in the past few months. Sloowly.

Aquacorde January 9th, 2017 10:48 AM

if only i could take all my excess weight and give it to yall who want it

MadHatter62 January 9th, 2017 3:26 PM

Everything is updated. :p

Aquacorde January 10th, 2017 10:30 AM

disappointed to report 247.4. i've been eating! healthy! what! the hell!

Easy there Arnold! :P

I'm assuming you've been doing strength exercises? I read the other day that eating anything, regardless of how healthy/unhealthy the meals are, and sitting all day does create unnecessary fat.

Aquacorde January 10th, 2017 3:14 PM

Yeah I'm not like. particularly active but I'm moving most of the day and doing targeted strength exercises? And I don't eat a lot really. The annoying thing is that I'm usually hella stable but now that I'm trying to be healthier I'm gaining? ugh

Nina January 10th, 2017 4:21 PM

???

Ok so my last weight I took at the pain center, but I took my weight for wiifit today (at 6pm) and it said 276 lbs. I'm not going to mark that as progress since it might just be a difference in the accuracy of scales. I'll try and remember to take it next week, and then compare it to my next doctor's appointment. (It's at the end of this month)

donavannj January 11th, 2017 4:45 PM

Weight can vary depending on the time of day, too. I try to make my weigh ins have similar times and conditions.

This week's weight for me is 254.6.

donavannj January 19th, 2017 6:22 PM

And bumping again with a 251.4 weight last night.

Aquacorde January 20th, 2017 9:50 AM

Well, something is helping. 245.6 today! I kind of wonder if the first scale I weighed myself on was calibrated wrong?

MadHatter62 January 20th, 2017 4:28 PM

List has been updated.

Nina January 22nd, 2017 8:47 PM

Measured with wiifit, weight stayed the same.

polymorphism January 25th, 2017 8:51 AM

I'll hop on board since I am intending to hit my goal weight this year. I'll throw in my current statistics:

Since we have users on the metric system I'll also include some approximate metric measurements.

Weight: 203lbs (~92kg)
Height: 5'10"/5'11" (180cm (fun fact I actually am 180cm it's the imperial version that makes it more confusing lol))
Goal: 155lbs or 48lbs lost (~70kg or ~22kg lost)

Also is it okay to discuss what techniques/plans we have for weight loss? Also maybe share some recipes?

I'm starting a 23/1 intermittent fasting diet today, going to up my vegetable intake, and I'm going to start exercising when it warms up a bit and stops raining.

Also just to note some past success I weighed roughly 240lbs back in 2013 so it's coming off slowly but I'm making progress. Also my weight is usually 15-20lbs lower in summertime (DAMN YOU WINTER).

MadHatter62 January 25th, 2017 4:55 PM

List is updated

donavannj January 25th, 2017 8:50 PM

255.4 is this week's weigh-in. Busy week with lots of eating and not a lot of exercise.

Aquacorde January 26th, 2017 12:00 PM

244.8! Steady decrease, probably a healthy rate but I wish it were faster ;; I've gone up to my 10lb kettlebell for exercise instead of my 5lb and whoa that's harder lmao

Nina January 30th, 2017 8:09 AM

Yep, Wii fit weight is just different. Got weighed at dr's and I'm still amazingly 283 with no fluxtuation.

Aquacorde January 30th, 2017 12:21 PM

242.6!! yayyy getting there! back underneath my starting weight on a possibly inaccurate scale

kyuubi93 February 1st, 2017 12:09 AM

I am currently standing at day 12 with no cigarettes! I smoked cigarettes for 8 years, from the time I was 16 to after I turned 24. I decided it was time to put them down. It has been challenging, but nothing I can't handle!

donavannj February 1st, 2017 5:10 PM

253.8 is this week's weight. Down from last week, not quite past where I was 2 weeks ago.

NintendoQueen February 4th, 2017 6:45 AM

Is it too late to join? If not, I'd like to be a part of this. :)

I gained 40 pounds between 2013 and 2014. I've been working on losing weight for the last 2 years, and so far I've managed to lose about 15 of those pounds. What helped me the most was hula hooping (a VERY fun way to exercise) and poriton control.

Here are my stats:
Current Weigh-In: ~141 lbs (63.9 kg)
Goal: ~125-130 lbs (56.7-58.9 kg)

It feels weird posting my weight online to people.... X_x

MadHatter62 February 7th, 2017 4:16 PM

Woot! Progress is updated! :D

donavannj February 8th, 2017 6:22 PM

Just 253 even tonight. Not much progress from last week. At least a small step in the right direction, though.

Aquacorde February 9th, 2017 12:36 PM

i have discovered that eggs and vegetable is in fact a low calorie meal
i have also discovered that for the first time in nearly two years, I am UNDER 240LBS! weighing this morning at 239.2 ;v; honestly guys thank you so much for this bc it's keeping me on track

Metatron February 11th, 2017 7:13 PM

Current weight: 255 at 22% bodyfat

Ideally I'd like to get my bodyfat to around 15%. Finishing up a pretty big bulk and starting to feel a bit sluggish, so i figure it's time for a cut :P

donavannj February 15th, 2017 5:25 PM

252.6 is this week's weigh-in.

Nina February 16th, 2017 12:31 PM

281 at the dr's office today. Last time I went to the general dr I was 289, so overall that's p good, I am going down, just slowly.

What is your target weight??

300 LBS at 5% bodyfat.

I don't really have a target weight, i'd like to just trim some of the fat off while holding on to as much muscle and strength as I can while doing so.

Aquacorde February 27th, 2017 12:49 PM

i'm at 235 even y'all! that's over 10lbs down~~

Metatron February 28th, 2017 8:49 PM

Down 7 lbs in about 2 weeks. Man I got big, never bulking like that again, haha.

Strength doesn't seem to have decreased all that much either, so that's a plus!

Somewhere_ July 11th, 2017 8:46 PM

I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow... lets see how I weigh in. that 210 is from a while ago and it was just a guess at that. ill also have an official height... I'm hoping I'm 6'4 lol

Good result. You can also try 9 Day IsaLiving cleanse program. It's a combination of the shake and cleansing supplements that boost your body’s natural metabolism and will help to expel unnecessary waste and absorb the nutrients more effectively. But it can be effective with daily intake +healthy food.

Thanks for the advice, though I'd be careful with advertising stuff like that here If I were you, another thing, I am not fond of taking any kinds of suplements like that, and third thing, I'd wait forever until i'd recieve it lol :D providing i'm very far away from your continent. I will stick to my methods ;]

alright...

im 246 lbs and 6'3 and a quarter inch (gotta get that in there lol)

time to lose some weight!

donavannj July 13th, 2017 10:15 AM

I restarted my weight loss challenge with my cousin as I was up at 262 lbs last week. I've been doing daily weigh ins mostly to study how effective specific dietary and lifestyle changes are on a day to day basis. Daily weigh ins have been bouncing up and down but so far I'm still cumulatively 1 pound up from last Thursday, though I won't do today's weigh-in until just before dinnertime since that's the time I weigh myself every night.

Somewhere_ July 13th, 2017 11:47 AM

i just ate carrots for a snack. thats an improvement i suppose xD

Metatron July 15th, 2017 10:22 AM

Oh hey, i forgot about this thread.

Haven't had a dexa scan so no idea what my bodyfat % is at, but I got my weight down to 235 before I finished dieting. Up to a little under 240 right now.

Goo July 17th, 2017 2:18 AM

Ahh this looks brilliant. :/ I've got no way to measure my weight myself but I'm hoping to lose a bit to make walking a little easier, and hopefully do it soon enough I won't have to buy an entire new wardrobe as Im running out of clothes anyway. :3 I'll see if I can come back with an edit with my weight somehow. Someone in this town has to have a scale I can borrow.
