Question about warping with a script
So in my hack, I want the player to warp to a different map and a specific position. Obviously I know about the "warp" command, and I do a fadescreen right before it, but when I do this, the current map shows again for a split second, then it plays a *enter new map* sound, then shows the new map. I just want it to fade to black, play no sounds, then just appear in the new map.
So is there any way to eliminate the *showing the current map after the fade for a second* and *enter new map* sound? |
It seems like you might need a level script on the map you're warping to if you want it to use fadescreen 0x1 upon entering it. For the sounds, there is also the command 'warpmuted', which does not play the entrance sound.
edit: wait, do you mean to make the screen black on the new map? If not, you would'nt need the fadescreen, as the warp alone would fade the screen for a second to enter the new map. |
The warp command fades the screen automatically so there's no need to put a fadescreen command before it.

Use ' warpmuted ' command. It won't play warp sound and you can warp to a specific location .
Also u don't need to use fade screen command because warp fades the screen. |
warpmuted! That's just about as simple as it gets, and wow guess I never really realized it fades on its own...but you guys are awesome, thanks!
