Ya. It didn't. =O;;

But anways~ No one seems to be mentioning that the SPs have been upgraded to backlit screens. Is it true...that none of you knew? XD

And the fact that Teal and Pink DSs will be released with a fourth version of Nintendogs.

*Pokes Paul* me and Blaze knew about the SP the day the news came out on it. XD

I just didn't think it was worth to say anything about it because most of us done have an SP. And the ones that don't will most likely pick up the Micro then the SP. XD

You mean Nintendogs: Best Friends? I think I heard a little on it. Isn't the only way you can get it is by buying the DS with it?

Yeah, that would be good if they didn't, I think they should just put the original buttons from the Gamecube controller on the shell, maybe take away a couple but not go easy because there it the veteran gamers out there that have been playing Nintendo consoles since the NES and sure the new controller will add that twist but we still need the older format so it could be easy for us as well as you newer gamers.

Newten5 September 24th, 2005 1:11 PM

I think they should add MORE buttons :P They should add another Z button on the other side and make the analog sticks clickable like on the Xbox. And who cares if thats copying, how many things did Microsoft copy off Nintendo? LOTS XD

In a way it's like taking away keys on a keyboard. We are all used to the buttons on the controller so it might hurt Nintendo if they don't have around the same number of buttons on the shell.

Well, I don't know how many more they could add. Sure it might be good, but where are they gonig to go? XD
And I kind of think Microsoft took the trigger buttons idea from Nintendo. Go look at the bottom of an N64 controller and you'll see the trigger button. I also think on the shell they should have Z1 and Z2 around where the triggers are on the X-Box controller.

Well your TV is most likely larger then mine. I got a 20 inch TV. What I really want is one of them wide screen HDTVs. A good size one isn't all that high, my portable DVD player was $500 back then (about 2 or 3 years ago). I went to Wal-Mart the other day and saw a good size HDTV for around $600 dollars.
Well I think that's what the shell is for. XD

Agent9 September 25th, 2005 3:32 PM

neat0 banner Arcanine. Really spiffy. I got like a 20 inch too i believe. it's perfect for me really.

Here is the box for the Nintendogs DS bundle package. Here is some information about them.

On October 24th, Nintendo will release Pearl Pink and Teal DS bundled with a special fourth edition of Nintendogs. Each bundle will retail for $149.99, 10 dollars less than if gamers purchased the system and game separately. The bundle will also include a unique Nintendogs branded skin for the system, as well as a bone-shaped screen cleaner. Nintendogs: Best Friends Version will feature all 18 of the same dogs within the other three versions already available. This version, though, will have a new list of six starter puppies: Labrador retriever, golden retriever, German shepherd, beagle, Yorkshire terrier and miniature dachshund.

So basically, it has all the dogs in the three versions in one game! I think it is a really cool bundle.

That's about it, unless you want me to start naming the controllers and cables and all that sort of stuff, because I never buy off brand stuff. XD

Wow it's all three games in there? That's saving a lot more then 10 dollars. To get what's in there and a DS you got to pay like 220 dollars (for the DS and all three games). That's a great deal.

Mmmm... Katamari Damacy and Animal Crossing for DS!!!? WOO!!!!!!! XD. I don't know why, but Katamari Dmacy is a good game when you just feel like doing something random XD. Anyway... I got the NES and SNES too.. I started to play both since I was some days old! XD. My brothers were the ones who introduced me to the video-games... How can I forget those memories of Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat II... XD.

Supreme Edgeboy Max September 28th, 2005 2:43 AM

Eh, we'll be naming DS games now?

I've been looking forward to the Megaman Battle Network 5 - Dual Team since the GBA version of TeamColonel and TeamProtoman came out. Other than that, Diamond and Pearl are good waits on my list. And other than these two right now, I don't know any better DS games.

See that's why it pays to save (get it, pays XD). Unlike most of you I own money (I still do). But once I get out of paying I'm going to be saving up for the Revolution.

Oh did anyone else watch the TGS 05 on G4 last night?
And I think the interview with Iwata was something to see. Not really anything new on the controller. But it looks smaller then what I thought.

You won't be holding many music files unless you get a larger memory stick. I used to use it as an MP3 player, but now that I got my laptop I just have all my songs on that (I'm not saying everyone is going to have all their music on their computer. But me, I rarely use my PSP anymore).

Hmmmm =/

I'm thinking XBox is a better investment right now...

Actually, same here. But I won't deny that other systems hold their own allure. They just can't hold anything to Nintendo >D

Anways~ It's not really the price. Of course, I don't have a job...so if it weren't by birthday soon, the money'd be hard to get. But...just holding one was cool because I'd never held one ^0^

Actually for the Pokemon games on the Rev, I would want to see something different besides the "Dark Pokemon" theme because it is kind of running dry for me, I think people might agree that we would like to see a "Proper" RPG game like the GBA but in Rev graphics.. that would be sweet, but one thing that makes me think, is if there was a Pokemon on the Rev, how would the incorperate controllers functions into it?. What would swinging it around make your character do?. Would you actually be able to take out your Pokeball and choose whether Pokemon stay outside it or not?. Would you be able to control Pokemon on HM moves like Cut, by swinging it to make the Pokemon cut the object?. That last one is kind of intriguing to think about. But if they can revolutionise the controller, wouldn't you like to see the revolutionise a Pokemon game?.. Take it to a new level?, a whole new level of involvement to make you feel depper into the world of Pokemon, I am intrigued by thinking this.

Well that is just my opinion XD

I prefer the DS to the PSP, what has the PSP got that the DS hasn't: music and movies? - get a flash cart or play yan. Graphics - who cares? The DS has touch screen and a mic so pooo on the PSP XD But I still wouldn't throw a PSP away if someone bought it me ^_^

Im gonna get an Xbox 360 and a Rev, unless I win the lottery to get enough money for all three, I don't think Ill get a PS3, unless it has something the 360 hasn't :P

I have a modded Xbox, but when I get the 360, if its fully backwards compatible, Ill probably change my original Xbox into a computer lol Or maybe just use it as a media center....I dunno XD

I can't wait to use the revs controller as a sword and a gun ^_^

I just hope I don't run out of time when typing this (because I should be doing my school work and not be on the internet). XD

Anyway I do agree that the "Dark Pokemon" and "Mini-RPG" thing is getting old. I also want a full RPG like you find on the handhelds. Not just something like they did in Pokemon Col and I guess what they are going to do in Pokemon XD. Pokemon rules the hand held RPGs (for any hand held). But the GC Pokemon RPG games more or less sucked. On the Rev they need to take a normal RPG like you find on the hand helds and put it on the Rev.
And not only put it on the Rev, but make it online. Who wouldn't want to battle their friends online with their team? Everyone is always going "Well I got the beat team out there". If it was online then all them people could put their money where their mouth is and see if it really is the "best".
Well to me, the rev controller should be used like it is on the hand helds. But maybe you could hook up a mic to the controller and say the attacks and stuff. Like "Pikachu, Thunder | Pikachu, return" etc. Maybe that way it would be a real time RPG. Turn Base is ok, but I would like a real time Pokemon battle like they do on the show. It's something I've wanted to do for years. And I think it might also pull in new and old Pokemon fans (old as in the ones that doesn't have anything to do with Pokemon anymore).

But I don't think Play-Yan is out yet outside of Japan (but I might be wrong).

What I want on the Rev is a nice FPS. Using the controller as a gun will be really sweet for FPS games.

Electric Hero September 29th, 2005 2:04 PM

I saw in the video when the kiddo used it as a sword... I loved it... also I don't remember well, but my bro says you can use it as a gun... oh that would be so sweeeet... XD. In a Resident Evil game... using the controller as a shotgun will rock!!! XD.

Yea on that video you see someone using it as a gun.
I can't wait to play first-person shooters. I think it'd be stupid for third-party game makers that makes first-person shooters to not go with the Rev. I know the controls will be way different but it's way better. And I also think it'd be stupid for people who love first-person shooters to not go with the Rev.

Well import it from Japan. XD
Flash-Memory Cards (I think that's what it uses) are really really low on price. I mean my dad got a 128 MB card for his new HP digital camera (for all of you that don't know, most of our stuff is HP. 2 digital cameras, 3 printers, and 3 computers XD) and it was only 20 dollars. A 32 MB Memory Stick Duo (what the PSP uses) from Sony is 25 dollars. So maybe the Flash Memory Cards are good.

Here is a little something off of GameSpot, it's their rumor thing.
Quote:

RUMOR #3: The technical specs for Nintendo's revolution console have been revealed...again. Source: The G4 Forums by way of Ars Technica.

The official story: "Nintendo does not comment on rumors or speculation."--Nintendo spokesperson.

What we heard: The latest Revolution spec leak got a lot of play on popular PC site Ars Technica, and later on the ubiquitous Gizmodo. But it all stems from a G4 forum poster who goes by the oh-so-original handle "Han Solo," who was, according to his profile, an "insider" at developer Factor 5. A formerly GameCube-exclusive studio, Factor 5 has since branched out to other platforms and recently unveiled its first next-generation console game: Lair for the PlayStation 3. That said, according to studio president Julian Eggebrecht, "Any talk of us abandoning Nintendo platforms altogether is just not true." So, chances are that if the shop doesn't already have a Revolution dev kit, it has at least been debriefed on the console's capabilities.

So what did Solo say? He claims that the center of the console will be a dual-threaded IBM Custom PowerPC 2.5GHz with 256KB L1 cache and 1MB of L2 cache, 512MB of 700 MHz 1T-SRAM, 32MB RAM linked to the CPU and GPU, and a PPU (Physical Processing Unit). The GPU will be an "ATI Custom-based RN520 core"--the R520 being the code name for ATI's soon-to-be-revealed new graphics processor and the "N" standing for Nintendo--which will run at 600MHz and support up to 2048x1268 resolution. It will have 32 parallel floating-point dynamically scheduled shader pipelines, a polygon performance of 500 million triangles per second, and be capable of around 50 billion shader operations per second.

How legitimate does all that sound? One hardware expert contacted by GameSpot harbored doubts. "Unless Nintendo hopes for a die shrink by the time of the launch, the Revolution would hardly have the air flow necessary to cool off that stuff," he said. "If its anything like ATI's current-gen architecture, even their low-end parts have pretty beefy fan cooling." However, another hardware insider was more optimistic: "It looks very plausible. The PPU stuff is interesting. It'll be a helluva lot easier on developers--that is, if the Nintendo tools don't suck."

Bogus or not bogus?: Plausible? Yes. Actual? TBD.

The Page
I wonder how "true" them specs are.

Broken It Through The Television!

Nintendo brings up remote controllers home!

------

Nintendo really knows how to do things. With just the unveiling of the controller of its upcoming console, codenamed the Nintendo Revolution, the gaming giant practically revolutionized the concept of "playing games". Suddenly games are more natural and engaging then ever.

The controller is a stylized remote-control-like device designed to be used with only one hand. Two small sensors placed near the TV and a chip inside the controller tracks its position and orientation, allowing the player to manipulate the action on screen by physically moving the controller itself.

What this actually translates to is that, for example, you could slash an in-game sword by actually swinging the controller from side to side! Turn a race car just by rotating the controller like a steering wheel, or aim your gun in a shooter by pointing the controller where you want to fire. Or swish and flick a wand in an RPG. You can even wield two independent guns each player can use two of these controllers at a time. The possibilities are endless!

The new controller has very few buttons: it doesn't really need them. There are a few, of course: your thumb can rest on a directional pad or large A button, and your index finger curls around to grip the B trigger on the underside. Then there are smaller a and b buttons on the far side of the controller, which means by just turning it 90 degrees you can use it as a traditional controller. There are also "Start" and "Select" buttons in the middle, with another "Home" button, but we don't what that does. You can also turn the console on or off with a Power button at the top. For multiplayer sessions, LEDs light up in the bottom to tell to which player the controller belongs to. In addition, secondary attachments such as an analogue stick can be plugged in for added functionality in future hit Nintendo titles.

Of course, this isn't the first time Nintendo introduced radically different concepts into gaming. Starting from the game-pad itself (before Nintendo introduced it, there were only joysticks), to the D-Pad, analogue stick, rumble pack and the recent DS with it's touch screen, Nintendo's always been the one who'd take risks and bring innovative concepts into the gaming world. And they've been successful. (Well, mostly successful: the all-red dual-screened seizure-inducing Virtual Boy that tried to give gamers "a taste of virtual reality" was a failure.) Over time, the competitors, followed Nintendo and added those features into their systems.

According to Shigeru Miyamoto, the man who keeps Nintendo cool, they've developed this radically new concept to reach out to a new audience. "We want a system that takes advantage of new technology for something that anyone, regardless of age or gender, can pick up and play. [Something with a] gameplay style that people who have never played games can pick up and not be intimidated by. [We aimed for something] that is simple enough for everyone," he says, "but also something that people who've been playing games for years will be satisfied with."

The gaming industry's reaction has been positive so far. Whether the third-party developers shower the Revolution with first-rate titles is yet to be seen, but as Nintendo's strength has always been its internal development teams, it's safe to assume that the Revolution will offer compelling gameplay experiences to go along with its unique control system.

And if you're still no impressed, log on to Ign.com and see this fantastic controller in action: http://doiop.com/RevController

Recently, an anonymous Factor 5 employee leaked some technical specifications of the Revolution console. This same guy nailed the Xbox 360 specifications before they were released, so there might be some substance in this rumor:

"The brains of the console are rumoured to be a single dual-threaded IBM "custom" PowerPC 2.5 GHz CPU. The system will also sport a Physical Processing Chip (PPU) with 32MB of dedicated RAM, while the CPU itself will saddled up next to 512MB of system RAM.

The custom ATI GPU solution is rumoured to consist of a RN520 600MHz core, backed with 256MB of RAM." Pretty impressive, isn't it? We'll now just have to wait till 2006 to see if the console is really as good as it sounds.

By Niloy. Source: The Daily Star - Rising Stars magazine.

Yup, these all were in one of our local kids 'n' teens magazines. It looks AWESOME. Well, there, most of those MBs and RAM and stuff are in there, even though I have no idea what they are for. Imagine this now.

Sony with Playstation and Microsoft with Xbox are copycats!!! if they copy this idea of this new controller, that's it.... they are ruined... I hope that if they do try to do the same controller, people just think "copycats! I'm not going to buy your games now you bunch of copycats!! I stick with Nintendo!" .... oh yeah... my bro told me you could use both the main controller and the control stick together like if you you were driving, just push for gas and pull for brake... geez.... Not sure if y'all heard the latest news, but Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection is finally underway ;D

Underlying the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection is a three-tiered philosophy of "easy, safe, free

Now you can go all across the world in Nintendo Wifi "Hotspots" and pick up a connection, either using your own home network or buying the Nintendo USB wireless adapter (sold separately) to connect.

It is power by Buffalo Technology, and is estimated to be priced around $50-$55 dollars in the United States.

Same here. And I also think the DS would be better to surf the web on. I know images and stuff won't look as good as on the PSP. But the top screen can be the web page. A hotspot is a place that has wireless internet (most of the time you got to pay), places like coffee shops, libraries, some hotels etc. You can bring your laptop and you can get on the internet in them places.
Nintendo and GameSpy are getting together and they will have hotspots of their own. In them places you will be able to play their games online. You can also do this if you have one of them Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connections.

Newten5 October 7th, 2005 12:04 PM

So that means you can pay and use a hotspot, or if you have a computer and internet you can use that instead?

Esupio October 7th, 2005 12:05 PM
