Question for Pokemon

I created this account just to post here about this.

It seems that my favorite Pokémon games always have a tragic ending. I just captured Tapu Koko in Pokémon Sun and was sad to see that a character I had become close to was randomly cast off because they needed to "help their mom" (Lillie). Another example: Pokémon Mystery Dungeon. When the game concludes, it's decided that Grovyle must be sacrificed for the safety of pokekind. Is it just me who becomes attached to characters who are a. your companion for the entirety of the game or b. your only partner in crime? I was an emotional wreck for days after finishing Mystery Dungeon, and since I'm about 5 years older now, I'm fine with the ending of Pokémon Sun, but I'm still very sad - even sadder knowing she will never be returning and we cannot contact her. Do you guys think Pokémon should stop writing in these tragic endings? It is a kids game after all.
