Greetings Pokè-fans!

As you may know by now, I am Stylix. I am fairly new here (since last month), and have been inspired for quite a while to make a Pokèmon fan game, but never knew about RPG Maker XP or Pokèmon Essentials until around the time I found this site, and another site containing a plethora of them for both GBA and PC.. Not sure how to make a gba fan game, cuz RMXP apparently does not support this ability, but thats ok, Iève been having fun learning how to use Essentials with help from Youtube videos (mostly from Atomic Reactor).

I am more than exited to have just recently released a demo, and have it approved here for testing, and on that note have fixed a bug/glitch on one of my routes I found while testing it at my friends house last week... It's on Route 3, and I just moved the event.

I know I am not supposed to post certain info outside certain areas of the forum, but seeing as I am still new, an have not posted 5 times yet, I can not edit my post in the projects page, because it contains the link (I just tried before making this post, and it is the sole reason I am mentioning it here, as soon as I am able to, I will edit the page to include this information, I promise...)

Now then, seeing as this is supposed to be my proper introduction thread (minus my blurb in the Lounge), I believe some info is needed... but where to start..
I have been a fan of Pokèmon since the series 1st season began its run on YTV (I am Canadian, by the way), and the games since Pokèmon Red was released in Canada... Alot has changed in both the series and games since their debut, and I have been trying to keep up... getting there though..

I was born in Alberta, Canada, grew up in various areas in BC (British Columbia), and have recently moved back to Alberta (Calgary area) for family reasons mostly..
As far as Anime series goes, I have alot of favorites (Including Pokèmon, Dragonball Z, Naruto, and One Piece to name a few), I love TV series (most genres apply here, however there are shows I completely despise, but then again dont we all?), movies (same rules apply), love most genres of music (not a fan of alot of todays mainstream hip-hop scene, or some of the radio-quality of music... but thats just me), and of course gaming (any system or console)...

In all I would like to think myself pretty eclectic. Along with learning how to make fan games, I would also like to learn how to produce music, it has been a big passion of mine since one of my friends in Kelowna BC introduced me to Dubstep and Hardstyle music, but, I do not want to restrict myself to those genres for creating a beat, or mixing together similar sounding songs that fit together (in a mashup or a set as the EDM world calls them). But enough about that... My main focus is fan games at the moment, I have always wanted to make my own Pokèmon game, and am excited that I finally got the chance. Anyone who wishes to help me with my project can feel free to (as I have mentioned on the project page), just let me know, and I can post the projects needed files to do so from my Google Drive where I keep them, and update both archives as soon as changes ae made... Any help will be given proper credit, both in-game, and on the project page. Speaking of which, I admit, some towns and routes are kind of bare at the moment, this will change as the game continues to develop. I just wanted to get a basic idea (modifying Essentials example maps, and creating a few of my own for originality and testing purpose), and wanted to get a demo up and running as soon as possible, because I was excited, so please, bare with my novice-ness...

Anyhow, thats my intro rant for now.. If anyone wants to know more, reply here, or send me a message, and I will reply as soon as I can. I look forward to interacting with, getting to know, and learning from members of the community. And a far as anyone who has made a fan game that I may have downloaded, I look forward to posting on your games page about things that I enjoy and such about each game. For now I will say this, I am enjoying seeing the ideas people have, and have been enjoying the fan games I have downloaded and actually started (there is quite a list of both pc and gba fan games). I love seeing new ideas, concepts, stories, and what ever else people decide to put in their game, It inspires me to want to do the same. I just need to get the hang on scripting, sprite editing (for adding new sprites), and of course map making (connecting them is easy enough).

Anywho, I will end this post here, cant wait to grow in the community!
