Lunar eclipse, comet, and 'Snow Moon' in one incredible night

Quote:

Stargazers are in for a triple treat: Friday night will feature a type of lunar eclipse, the Full Snow Moon, and even a comet.

You’ve likely heard of a “supermoon,” when the full moon appears brighter than usual because it’s closer to Earth. Friday night, something different will happen, in effect. The full moon will be darker.

Anyone captured any glimpse? The best place to watch this was the eastern side of the U.S acc to space.com

I'm unfortunately unable to see it, because it's currently cloudy in my hometown. >_>

I saw the partial eclipse tonight and it was neat seeing the moon partially shrouded. :]

Raffy98 February 11th, 2017 6:42 AM

I couldn't enjoy it because of bad weather, dammit.

Yup... I'm among the unfortunate who couldn't see anything due to the clouds.
