I have more...
this is just um... one of them does it count?(refering to the 1st one) |
Well here's mine
http://i88.photobucket.com/albums/k173/NJDVLAZY187/Pokemon%20Stuff/ccc.png The Mini badges I made them from scratch :P |
@zapticuno: Never, ever, ever, resize things in paint without using the stretch tool... and you never even need to resize sprites at all when making trainer cards.
@PokeFan187: It seems too... crowded. There's too much going on in the background. I would recommend switching out some of the backgrounds for solid colors, or simple gradients. Mainly the name and badge box is what's bothering me. The background distracts from them. |

Okay then.
Other than that, though, it's very good. I really like the layout of it. |

Is This Better? http://i88.photobucket.com/albums/k173/NJDVLAZY187/bterr.png |
Yes, the text is clearly visible now, and it's not distracting.. although I think the trainer sprite box might look good with a backround? idk.
Um... what are those 3 numbers supposed to be? |

I'm not sure about the background:\ |
I suggest maybe searching for some type of theme in backround.
you know, maybe kanto themed, certain pokemon themed, etc. otherwise, there is not much more myou can do without playing around with colors until you find something you like. |
What are the programs you guys use to make your trainer cards? Because I have no clue and I think trainer cards are cool...

XD Sounds too advanced for me. Also: Is this the place where you can ask someone to design a trainer card for you, or just showing off the trainer cards you've made?
|
Not this thread, but this forum should have some request threads open. Other than that, you'd have to make your own. It's not so hard with templates.
|
will somebody make me a card?

Keep this thread alive one post at a time , can any fix or give good C&C about these trainer cards they were made for a clan of mine
Spoiler:
|
Well, the best advise I could give you now is to NOT save your trainer cards as JPG's, instead save it as PNG. It makes it all blurry and it will be almost impossible to edit it later on.
Your second T-card looks pretty nice, however I feel that the badge slots are kind of out of place. Maybe you can place it somewhere else like below the top border or on the far right next to the pokemon spots. Something that just came in mind while looking a little closer is that you could try to mirror the second row of pokemon spots horizontally so that you have some space between the third and forth pokemon. I hope that was of any help for you. |

The second one feels quite cramped. |
Yo, it's been quite a long time. I've been busy lately. It's well, how long has it been? Anyway, it's great to see everyone doing alright. So here goes.
http://i191.photobucket.com/albums/z67/code1992/whitneycard.png Well, actually, I took the idea from Kenji's. Just modified a bit, though, and give it another view. Enjoy! |
I made this, but i didnt make the template, absol 20 20 at serebii did,

Anyway, it's nicely done, although it's much to large to be used for any practical purpose. I would reccomend trying one the actual size of the base image. But still, good :3 Quote:
While I somewhat like the idea of the layered badges, why are the Orange Islands badges placed normally in the corner there? It makes no sense and kinda throws off the thing you had going there. Also, I would recommend that you use the same amount of spacing between each one. ...What's with the pokemon sticking out? Don't do that. I would lose the fronteir symbols or put them with the badges, and put your name there, instead of that oddly shaped gold thing. The background is too... distracting, specifically behind the trainer. You just have too much going on, and most of it is spilling out into sections of the card where it doesn't belong. |

@jonny: A bit too... well, you see... complicated, but still, good :) Try well, not put too many well, badges in XD PS: Here goes another card of mine (actually, it's two cards for a um, well, couple): http://i191.photobucket.com/albums/z67/code1992/c1.png http://i191.photobucket.com/albums/z67/code1992/c2.png |
Oooh, I love the puzzle piece idea. I had thought about something like that before, but never got around to trying it XD
Simple, yet unique. I like it. The edges could be a little cleaner, but it's still good :3 |

the pokemon stick you for effect, but i can quickly fix that if its really that bad, i really just did it to show my 2 recolors more clearly. the badges and orange island ones wouldnt all fit, and i see the orange island ones and different from normal badges, but im sure i can find a way. if im to move the name, what do i do whith that space, in the original by Absol 20 20, the fried code went where the symbol were, i i dont have one... |
