Mozilla vs Chrome: Which One Is The Best

Recently, I have trouble with internet browser. I just can't decide which one should I use, Google Chrome that have a great speed or Mozilla Firefox that have a great user interface. All of them are good but not all internet browsers are perfect right?

So which one is the best?
Read it here: http://technocore1.blogspot.co.id/2017/01/mozilla-vs-chrome-which-one-is-best.html

What do you think guys?

I prefer firefox. Fast, nice UI, free and open source, and it doesn't spy on you.

Percy May 8th, 2017 2:03 AM

I prefer Firefox over Chrome, but they're both not bad! With the latest update of Firefox (53) it is much faster than before. And I also like the Compact themes :D

The answer is obvious, Firefox is better because it respects your privacy. The speed difference doesn't matter anymore because it's so small. If you want to use browser like Chrome, use Iridium, it based on Chromium like Chrome but it respects your privacy.

Chrome cause I'm scared of using a new browser

Maki-Nishikino May 8th, 2017 12:47 PM

i ditched firefox long ago for chrome because i was having bad memory leak issues with firefox like it would get up to as much as 2GB usage and either lock up completely or crash on itself and with chrome i can access all my passwords from every computer i have chrome installed (all are password protected)

Raffy98 May 8th, 2017 1:29 PM

To be really honest I use Chrome, but I also believe that Firefox is a pretty good browser.

Mortalis May 8th, 2017 1:52 PM

Been using Chrome for a long time now and it's clean, quick and streamlined. I've never had issues with it, and it gives a lot of different options and tools via add-ons.

Tsutarja May 8th, 2017 2:05 PM

Either browser has its pros and cons. Both browsers are severely resource-intensive (Chrome separates its tasks while Firefox uses one single task), but they are honestly 100000% better than the shit Microsoft has.

EC May 8th, 2017 2:14 PM

Chrome for me. Whenever I try something else, especially something new, it's just not as good as Chrome.

Sothis May 8th, 2017 4:14 PM

I should get to using FF because Chrome eats up RAM like you wouldn't believe lol

Firefox is just as worse of a RAM-eater as Chrome is, though...

Sothis May 8th, 2017 4:43 PM

Damn I heard it was better ;_; ah well!

Arsenic May 8th, 2017 6:18 PM

This seems to pop up every few months as a subject.

Still using firefox.

It's still just as fast as chrome.

It still has a better and sleeker interface.

It still runs more reliably than Chrome for me

It still respect my privacy (mostly) unlike government secrets Chrome

And it's still using less RAM than Chrome does for me.

Only downside is it still doesn't have as many plugins as Chrome does! But I am still surviving without my iDubbz button! Actually Firefox has some things I havent seen in chrome (I haven't looked though) such as Enhanced youtube (Scroll on the video for volume , remove ads, loop, and more) and Dark Youtube theme. I'm so used to them I can't function on youtube with Chrome!

I believe Firefox has been using multiprocess, called e10 or something, lately too. I think since version 48.

I find Chrome highly unenjoyful. Having an already perfectly setup of Firefox, when I was trying out Chrome (well, Chromium to be exact), I found having a really hard time trying to get a similar setup on it. I actually couldn't make it work the way I wanted it to be, partially because of addons not existing or not working as I wanted them to work.

So, yeah, Firefox because of how easy it is to get a good secure setup.

You can switch back to Firefox, those issues are fixed years ago, it was usually the Flash plugin which caused them.

I wonder why you're so scared of using a new browser that you sacrifice your privacy by using Chrome.

Tsutarja May 9th, 2017 6:00 AM

Uh, last I checked, Mozilla collects data anonymously as well, and not just Chrome...

Also, although this is more backend, keep in mind that Chrome and Firefox use different rendering engines as well. Chrome uses Webkit while Firefox uses Mozilla's Gecko engine.

i plan to stick with chrome its much easier for me to get passwords on all my computers then having to carry a unercypted flash drive with a password list

Firefox has Firefox Sync which allows you to get passwords on all your computers.

What kind of data it collects? AFAIK it doesn't collect any personal data like e.g. browsing history.

personally, i use firefox because it seems more smooth, fast and easy for me to use. i did go through a time where i used chrome constantly on the old pc we had, but then after we switched to laptops i realized firefox worked better, for me at least. plus i find firefox has more tools and stuff than chrome. i've been using firefox for probably 4 or 5 years and i've never had any serious issues with it. it's certainly better than.. *shudder* microsoft edge that they already have downloaded on my hp laptop.

this is all just based on my opinion though. when it comes down to it, it's all up to what you, Abirama, think and want to do.

EC May 9th, 2017 3:16 PM

I feel like Chrome runs slowly for me because I have five different extensions running at the same time, but that's the price I pay for having them.

Amore May 9th, 2017 5:31 PM

I've never really taken to Firefox - i used it for a while when I was younger, but my shared laptop with my brother started getting loads of viruses - most likely a combination of AdBlock not being a thing so lots of pop-ups and my parents preferred "free antivirus" being terrible - and my parents were convinced not using IE was to blame so I had to remove it.

Luckily Chrome popped up in '08 (I believe I heard of it here first actually) as IE was terrible. However recently I also hate Chrome as it hogs battery on my Mac (which thanks to Apple's insecurity about their latest Macbooks no longer predicts how long its battery will last) and I had to have it just because Student Finance England's site didn't work on Safari for me until some time this year. Obviously the latter won't be relevant to most people, but the battery thing is a big one.

tamanaphy May 9th, 2017 5:45 PM

honestly, I prefer Firefox over Chrome.
I've had a lot of problems with Chrome in the past, and Firefox has never given me any problems whatsoever. Plus, I like the look of Firefox as opposed to Chrome. It just looks neater.

blue May 10th, 2017 2:53 AM

I do like both as they each have their own advantages and disadvantages. Chrome I'd say I use more only because I'm more familiar with that browser, but I will switch over to Firefox occasionally.
