name, is sheep bad

How is your grammar? Do you make a lot of mistakes? Or are you a perfectionist that pays close details to spelling and grammar?

gimmepie May 19th, 2017 11:32 PM

My grammar is pretty decent until I actually start writing.

pkmin3033 May 20th, 2017 12:19 AM

I had these things drilled into me from a young age, so most of the time I don't even need to think about it. But my grammar deteriorates rapidly when I'm tired, in a hurry, on my iPod, or just don't give a shit. xD

moon May 20th, 2017 1:32 AM

In Swedish, I'm quite the perfectionist and always was. Not shy to try odd ways of constructing sentences or using full stops though. In English, I still make mistakes sometimes, and maybe I always will );

Sothis May 20th, 2017 2:29 AM

My grammar sucks, so does my spelling. ;_;

Logan May 20th, 2017 2:29 AM

I'm good at confusing rika with english slang

Cool_Porygon May 20th, 2017 3:31 AM

I use the correct grammar, but I don't mind very much when others do not.

Radiating May 20th, 2017 4:59 AM

I always try to use my best grammar online, so whatever I post looks clean.

Bay May 20th, 2017 10:09 AM

When writing casually like now, I don't worry too much as long as it gets the point across. When writing in prose I try to pay more attention, but boy do I still make a lot of grammar mistakes after I let someone else look over a piece of mine.

EC May 20th, 2017 2:07 PM

I always care, especially online. I think not caring about your grammar and spelling online makes you look uneducated.

Lunar May 20th, 2017 4:00 PM

I care a lot about my grammar, probably too much

Raffy98 May 20th, 2017 4:47 PM

I care a lot about grammar in general, obviously it's easier when we're speaking about my native language (Italian), in English I think that I will always make some grammar mistakes. {XD}

pastelspectre May 20th, 2017 5:08 PM

i only care about grammar when i'm writing to be honest, really. capitalization mostly. i try to get all the spelling right, just capitalization i could care less about.

Sirfetch’d May 20th, 2017 7:12 PM

I have good grammar while speaking and writing in real life, but I can't say that I do or even care online. Usually I don't read over what I type and it comes off as poor.

Boomerang Cutter May 20th, 2017 10:39 PM

I feel like my grammar isn't the best, sometimes. I try to make sure i have the best grammar as possible but still feel it's rusty at some points.

Reyzadren May 21st, 2017 9:53 PM

I don't notice most grammatical or spelling mistakes from me or other people.

...but whenever a mistake changes the meaning behind the sentence, yikes :/

Alex May 22nd, 2017 8:56 AM

my frequent lack in punctuation can make my writing very hard to read

Kikaito plush May 23rd, 2017 3:02 AM

my grammar is terrible

Esper May 24th, 2017 10:55 AM

I invested a lot of time and schooling into learning grammar and I don't want to feel like I wasted that time so I think of grammar as pretty important. Like, the 7th or 8th most important thing.

MechaMoth May 24th, 2017 11:46 AM

I specifically made the effort as a teen at the dawn of social media to speak and write with proper grammar and punctuation for at least a majority of the time. I try not to use any acronyms, either. Also, I write for a living and earned a Master's degree with an emphasis in writing.

It sort of bothers me when other people do not do it (particularly with instant messaging at work), but it is something that's easily forgiven at this point.

Sylphiel May 25th, 2017 6:29 AM

I'm decent at grammar, though most of the time since I'm just writing posts I tend to just go really casual and forego "proper" grammar for a style that's more like how I speak. Which is really mostly just running sentences on for longer than they should, and getting rid of pesky punctuation that just got in the way anyway!

Palamon May 26th, 2017 8:46 PM

My grammar isn't perfect, but it's decent, to say the least. How much I care to use proper grammar depends on my mood, though.

Alakazam17 May 27th, 2017 2:33 PM

I try to use proper grammar, but I'm not too anal about it. I usually don't mind when other people don't, especially if I know that English is not their first language,

Cay May 27th, 2017 2:52 PM

on school assignments i have 100% perfect grammar, irl i speak with a lot of slang and here i stopped trying

Sydian May 27th, 2017 4:48 PM

Depends on how I'm feeling. I don't try to keep my grammar up on Twitter usually. Hell, sometimes I don't do it here. I used to be a huge stickler for it, but not to the point where I'd go around correcting others, at least. Still it's like...I know what I'm doing, but at the same time, I don't care as much as I used to, unless I'm doing something I shouldn't make mistakes in. I'm done with school, so...those chances are far and few in between now.
