Indie Rock

What do you guys about Indie Rock? Is it a genre or a status? Otherwise, let's discuss about anything Indie Rock! *points at The Killers, Franz Ferdinand, etc*

It's definetly not a status.. It's more of a genre.. It's not exactly the Killers or Franz Ferdinand either. Indie rock is when a band has a cd, but they are still very much underground, and not very mainstream. They arent signed to any major record label [i.e. Columbia; Equalvision] but they still have a cd. So yeah, thats Indie rock for ya!

I could never decide.
btw, my sister and I just loooove indie rock. In fact, when I was younger, I took the word "indie" a little too far. nuff said

I'd say it was a genre, but I wouldn't really call the Killers or FF indie rock. Indie rock is stuff like... oh, I don't know, Magic Dirt and stuff. Not a big fan, personally.
