I have sliver but the Cobalt is a great color to me. And this is like a other games thing. Try that color.

DeathScape June 2nd, 2005 4:43 PM

I'd wait for GameBoy Micro, but if you don't want to, then I'd say black.

Miyu-chan June 2nd, 2005 4:44 PM

I'll go move it to... Other Games~

*MOVED*

Arcanine June 2nd, 2005 4:47 PM

I like red a lot so for my SP I went with Flame.

Kratos June 2nd, 2005 4:51 PM

I pesonally really liked Onyx. But Arcanine is right red is good too. I'd go with red.

Dark Sora June 2nd, 2005 4:51 PM

Wasnt red like a limited edition when SP first came out for that color? Anyways, Since I wanted my SP to go with my GBA, I got a Platinum SP. I think it looks much cooler than the others. So I suggest getting a platinum SP

Or you can buy the Kingdom Hearts: Chain Of Memories combo pack. It has Kingdom Hearts: Chain Of Memories and a special Kingdom Hearts edition SP

Dark Penguin June 2nd, 2005 4:52 PM

actually, i would just wait like 3-4 months for the Game Boy Micro. Much better than the SP, and much smaller. and couldn't be that much more. so if you don't mind the wait, just wait for the GBM.

If you want to be able to see what you're playing when you're playing it, buy the SP and don't think twice about it. You won't regret it.

If you have to get a standard, new SP, I would recommend the Onyx one. It's a plain, dignified, classy color, the least distracting when you're trying to play a game.

If you're willing to buy used ones, go for the Classic NES edition. I'm absolutely in love with mine <3 <3 <3

If money is no object, go for Venusaur Green, the Kingdom Hearts SP, or the Gold Legend of Zelda edition. All are visually splendid, that is, if you don't mind having a Venusaur or a Triforce engraved in your SP anywhere.

I have no idea where this "you can't see the GBM's screen came up." Everyone who tested it said that they can see it just fine. It sounds smaller than it really is (its a little smaller than half of the PSP screen)

-_____-; This thread isn't supposed to be combative, but I would rather have ZoeFairy be safe and go with the sure bet.

TRIFORCE89 June 3rd, 2005 12:42 PM

I'd go with Onyx or Platinum. Where's the Retro NES? T_T;

Scyther5 June 3rd, 2005 12:51 PM

Cobalt is what I had, it was a nice color and hid scratches well, the lighter colors reveal scratches so a darker color should be your safest bet. Good Luck choos'n!

They weren't lying when they said that it was Limited Edition...it disappeared off the shelves in January, and now it's disgustingly expensive on ebay. I broke down and bought one in March, though. The fact that it's far superior to all SPs makes up for the price, though =p

I swear that I just saw one at my local Best Buy no more than five days ago. If I didn't have an AGB and a NTR, I would buy one.

Chairman Kaga June 3rd, 2005 3:23 PM

That would be incredible if it turned out to be true--every single store in at least 50 miles of me has been out of them for five to six months. I have this suspicion that Nintendo actually recalled the ones that were left, because they had them, and they suddenly were out.

Gorosaurus June 3rd, 2005 4:18 PM

Like a few said, wait for the Micro. Nintendo of America is pushing very hard to get Play-Yan included with it which will allow you to use it as a movie/mp3/ROM player as well.

I like the steel SP color the best, however

Now THAT would make the GBA Micro worth it...but watch the deal be doomed by Play-Yan being scared off by the many false stigmas attached to Nintendo =/

Gorosaurus June 3rd, 2005 7:58 PM

I had no use for getting another GBA until they announced that.

..Now I'm considering it. I really hope the deal comes through (And at an affordable price!)

Ninja June 3rd, 2005 7:59 PM

Flame Red. Mine looks awesome.

Charizard_Fire_God June 4th, 2005 2:26 AM

Tch. I suggest a blue one, those look real nice. ^_^

Eon-Rider June 4th, 2005 3:27 AM

I think the red or the blue one looks cool!

Rhykasho June 4th, 2005 4:32 AM

I would have to go for the flame one, red rocks!!!

Tsugaru June 4th, 2005 9:23 AM

I would go with the black one..it is awesome
