16
That seems fitting. |
17.
The line is based on otters and samurais, after all. |
18
It'd make a change from Fire starters getting it, at least! |
19.
Yeah, like Chesnaught being the first Grass starter to get the Fighting type. |
20
Has awesome moves. Samurott 10 |
11.
Samurott will also go up. |
12
When in battle, Samurott can stand on its hind legs and use one of its blades as a sword to fight. |
13.
It has little pockets in its legs, in which it hides swords. |
14
It can silence foes with a glare or a howl. |
15.
It can't learn the moves Glare or Howl, though. |
16
I was actually quite surprised by Samurott's design when it was announced. I like it, but I expected something different. |
17.
It went quadrupedal when its prevos were bipedal. |
18
I lot of people seem to get sore over starters going bipedal. I really don't mind either way. |
19.
I really don't get why people would throw such a fuss when quadrupedal starters go bipedal. If anything, going bipedal would actually help those Pokemon. |
20
Yay Samurott! We won one for China with the Tepig line, France with Snivy and now Japan is safe. I think Patrat's up next. I'm neutral, will vote whichever way. 10 |
9.
I hate the Patrat line, so I'll vote them down. |
8
Down he goes then. Its almost so bad its cute. |
7.
There are people who find Patrat and even Watchog cute, but I'm not one of them. |
6
What can I say. Look at those stats... I'm not even able to remember its movepool. |
5.
Its stats are miserably low. I don't know why Game Freak always does that with regional rodents. But at least Diggersby gets Huge Power. |
4
I don't often say this about Pokémon, but Patrat and Watchog are pretty ugly, especially with those eyes. |
3.
I fully agree. |
2
Even if they looked better, their stats are terrible. |
1.
Easily the worst of the regional rodents. Even the Rattata line is better. |
Patrat has officially been discarded, so now it's Watchog's turn.
https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/pokemon/images/7/72/Watchog_XY.gif/revision/latest?cb=20140720234148 |
9.
Watchog is my least favourite Pokemon of all time. |
8
Papasea has an amusing video and competitive analysis about the problems with watchog https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=QhzXlvPhnrE |
7.
This thing is so annoying with Hypnosis, Confuse Ray, and Super Fang. |
6
Lenora's Watchog was a pain to fight. |
5.
Her Herdier wasn't easy to fight either. |
4
I really don't like Watchog's colour scheme. |
3.
Neither do I. I'd erase this whole line from existence if I could. |
2
I wish Game Freak would put a little more effort into its rodent designs. I like most of them, especially ones like Pikachu and Minccino/Cinccino. I don't know, I'd like to see a really bad-ass rodent some time. |
1.
I think Game Freak could do better with their stats and abilities. Look at Diggersby for example. While it has a subpar Attack stat of 56, it gets Huge Power to make up for it. Also, it has a decent Speed stat of 78. |
0
Watchog has gone away, he's eating his apricorns elsewhere. Now for Lillipup. I'll vote it up 10 |
11
I'll vote either way. It's cute but has an unoriginal design. |
10
I hate dogs and Lillipup looks like a dog I see alot in pictures and it has no creativity. |
11
I'm fond of dogs, but Pokémon shouldn't look exactly like the animal/object they're based off, which is definitely the case with this line. |
10.
I'll vote the Lillipup line down. First I only hated Herdier, then I grew to hate Stoutland, yet I was okay with Lillipup until it annoyed me in Pokemon Moon. |
9
Then I'll vote down, either way is fine with me. |
8.
They may not be as bad as the Patrat line, but they're still bad IMO. |
7
Unova seems to have a lot of unpopular Pokémon designs. |
8
I think he has a kinda cute, innocent expression so I will still vote for him. But yeah, its not outstanding. |
7.
I'm no stranger to voting down things that look cute. Look at Caterpie and Weedle for example. I think they're cute, but still bad enough to vote them down. |
6
As far as cuteness goes, Lillipup doesn't appeal to me as much as others. Its Pokédex entries are cliché and boring. Don't Growlithe and Rockruff share very similar ones? |
7
Yeah but caterpie and weedle are clearly worse than Lillipup. We've voted for some stuff way worse than Stoutland like Kriketune. |
6
Huh, I really like Caterpie, I thought it was adorable in the anime. |
7 I think caterpie is cute too and would have voted for it had I been playing at the time. But I think the Lillipup line is more useful to the player
|
6.
I'm indifferent on Kricketune myself. I would've voted it down if the others did. |
7
I'd say Kriketune is bad though whereas stoutland is just okay. It gets the elemental fangs and can go on a sand team. |
6.
I've had bad experiences with Stoutland. And besides, I don't like dogs. |
7
I guess that's what holds me back. I love dogs, they're man's best friend. Yes, its not Lucario or Arcanine, but even the plainest dog Pokemon I will have a soft spot for usually... |
6
If I haven't used a Pokémon in battle before, I simply vote based on its design. I never had Lillipup or its evolutions on my team. Still, I love the fang moves! |
5.
The elemental fangs are okay, but the elemental punches are better. |
4
Both are great. Also, I like dogs too, which does make me biased most of the time in regards to canine Pokémon. |
3.
Game Freak does a great job at making canine Pokemon. However, I don't like all of them. Looking at the Snubbull, Poochyena, and Lillipup lines here. I'm also not a fan of the Rockruff line, except Lycanroc-Midnight, that thing is cool. |
4
To be honest. Though I'm defending it I haven't run a stoutland. But something usually has to be really annoying me before I vote it down. I'd be more likely to vote down the Snubull line if I voted down any dog. |
3.
I voted the Snubbull line down myself, but two guys managed to save them. |
2
Snubbull reminds me too much of an adorable Pug I know called Miles; I can't find it in me to dislike it. |
1.
I think Snubbull isn't cute, and I find Granbull ugly and annoying. |
2
I was fine with Snubbull back in Pikachu's vacation, thought it was sort of cute, but then a mean dog next door showed up who looked like Snubbull and poisoned me against him, now I just see the angry, spoiled dog. I wish it was a nice pet like Miles instead on my block. |
1.
VisionofMilotic, I think you got ninja'd. |
2
I noticed, but I corrected it. Though resistance is futile... |
1.
For you, mostly. |
2
Yeah, that's what I meant, I was being self-deprecating. |
1
You fought valiantly for Lillipup's vote, Milotic, but I'm afraid the majority are against you. |
0.
Lillipup is down now, up next is Herdier. http://www.pkparaiso.com/imagenes/xy/sprites/animados/herdier.gif 10. |
11
Poor Lillipup, what of the anguish of his mother Herdier? Have a heart, she lost her puppy recently. |
10
While Lillipup is at least endearing, Herdier's design is blatantly lazy. Apparently it's Mana Ibe's favourite Pokémon, and she designed it. Probably just had a soft spot for terriers! EDIT: Stop it Milotic, you're making me doubt my vote, haha. D: |
11
Euthanasia should never be a rushed decision Clover! Spare a dog if you can! |
10
It's another dog. |
9.
Herdier is easily the worst of its line. |
10
HDEvee made a good video about Pokemon that would make the best body guards and included Herdier. This video contains fun facts you may not know ^_^ https://m.youtube.com/watch?t=157s&v=t0aOAmUfT-4 |
9.
That list includes 2 Pokemon that I dislike: Herdier and Furfrou. But I do like the 3 other Pokemon listed. |
8
Lycanroc is clearly the superior canine. Though I might be a bit biased there. :P |
7.
I think all Lycanroc forms are better than the whole Lillipup line. |
6
Voting down since everyone else is doing so and it’s probably my least fav member of its line. I might vote up the evo though. |
5.
Don't expect me to vote Stoutland up. I dislike the entire line. |
6
I'll vote for Stoutland! His stats are actually pretty generous, great attack and very good bulk and even the speed can be made good under the right conditions. Other than his design being somewhat conservative I think he's a solid Pokemon. |
5.
It needs Sand Rush and a sandstorm to reach such high levels of Speed. |
6
Which he has access to :) Sand rush is definitely not an ability to sneeze at, it works wonders on another Unova mon Excadrill. |
5.
But Excadrill is a way better mon than Stoutland. |
6
In its own tier though Stoutland is effective in the sand. Banded, stab return with adamant nature and max attack is going to hurt. |
5.
What was its tier again? ... ZU? Ah, screw it. |
6
Not all of us want to play in OU. I like lower tiers, i love little cup battles for instance. Is there something wrong with that? :( |
5.
There's nothing wrong with playing lower tiers. Regardless, I still don't like the Lillipup line. |
4
No more dogs please. |
3.
After Herdier, we still need to deal with Stoutland. And I'm planning to vote it down. |
2
Continues to vote it down. |
1.
Same here. |
0
Next is Stoutland. Stoutland 10 |
9.
Herdier got what it deserved. Now I'll be voting Stoutland down. |
8
Down it goes. |
7.
The Lillipup line looks too much like real dogs to me. And that wouldn't be much of a problem if I liked dogs. But I don't. |
6
The whole Lillipup line has no creativity to the point where it just looks like a normal dog and not a Pokemon. |
5.
Couldn't agree more. At least Growlithe and Arcanine have cool designs. |
6
It is fairly realistic, but not unattractive, buttefree's essentially just a butterfly and swanna is basically a swan, so I'll give Stoutland a pass for being a dog, especially since he's still a decent Pokemon to use. Intimidate is also useful ability, he has two good abilities. |
5.
I don't like real dogs, otherwise I don't think I would've had a problem with Stoutland's design. |
6
I've been volunteering and adopting pets at Arf since I was 12 so I love myself a dog. I think Stoutland also looks a little like Lady from Lady and the Tramp. |
5.
More like a fusion between her and Alameda Slim from "Home on the Range". |
