2. Hopefully there will be a hospital or help will come.

Damien.aspiring.fandev April 12th, 2018 11:48 PM

2. There probably still is stuff to do... not to mention that we need to get rid of the poisoning...
Hm, perhaps we could find out about other kind of pokémon-related activities aside gym and cup?
Or maybe we can learn something about the settlement's backstory, name origin and symbols...

FeraligatrMaster April 13th, 2018 2:44 AM

2. If we want to recover from the poison, we're better off staying in this town for now. Also, who knows what else this town has?

Janp April 13th, 2018 5:25 AM

2. This town looks ineteresting, so why not stay in there for a while.

Lycanthropy April 13th, 2018 7:05 AM

2. Now we have money we can buy some more ice cream useful items. :)

I say we go with 2; maybe we can afford to get a fishing rod after all! Or perhaps find information on our Mysterious Orb...?

It's as if you're reading my mind. :D

"It's just a beaten up pole with a string, people. What's so great about it?"
On a related note, people seems to have chosen one sole option that turns the others into mundane crap.
Uh.

I'm bad at this. Moving on!

Meanwhile, what to do next?
  1. Proceed to the east. (Pointless crap.)
  2. Linger in the town a bit longer. - 7 Votes (The only way to go, it seems.)
  3. Slump down in defeat, let the poison come back and take you over. (Also pointless crap.)

Deaths: 1
Chapter 16: A Voice from Somewhere

Location: ??? -> Shanama Town
Deciding to linger a little longer, you exit from the Pokémon Center to take another look of the town. For some reason, you feel as if you've seen this scenery before. Was it because you have visited this place? The details don't matter that much to you, but as a restitution of one's luxury, you decide to sit on one of the public wooden benches.

As you are about to sit, a pretentious voice calls upon you, interrupting you. "You, the one who made quite the spectacle of talent. Head back to whence you come and seek for the bridge of golden. Know that you are permitted to enter the higher lands, where the queen requests of your attendance."

As the voice you've just heard ended in a jiffy, everything seems to be in place. As if nobody really bats an eye, was it telepathy? You shrug at the thought and try to relax on the bench, thinking about the next move you should be doing instead of actually lazing around on a bench only to get a cryptic message from an obscure source.

What do?
  1. Ignore the voice and head east.
  2. Head back to where you retrieve the mysterious orb.
  3. Stay still.
As now you have enough money, you can now buy things. What would it be?
  1. A box containing 25 Antidotes for a friendly price of https://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/8/8c/Pok%C3%A9monDollar.png5000. Gotta keep yourself safe from poisoning.
  2. A Hammer for a very friendly price of https://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/8/8c/Pok%C3%A9monDollar.png5000. With this, you can smash though rocks without having to use Rock Smash. Usable in battles too!
  3. An Old Rod for an affordable price of https://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/8/8c/Pok%C3%A9monDollar.png5000. You can feel an empowering aura by simply touching it.
  4. Fill out a complain about why are the price tags are this ridiculously expensive.

XNaut April 18th, 2018 11:31 AM

3a. Maybe the antidote's will cure the poisoning.

YESSSS FINALLY! :D :D :D This is like a dream come true, haha. Don't think I need to say much more than that. ;)

3c for me!

Lycanthropy April 19th, 2018 12:43 AM

3c seems like an obvious choice.

Get out.

FeraligatrMaster April 19th, 2018 2:38 AM

2b. If we get that hammer, we don't need to teach any of our Pokemon Rock Smash!

Janp April 19th, 2018 6:14 AM

2c. Maybe we can get to better storyline... And Rod is always good to have.

Damien.aspiring.fandev April 19th, 2018 7:31 AM

2. Telepathy? Could either be a pokémon with telepathy or a psychic trainer, the first being more likely.

b. A hammer?
... yeah, why not? Obstacle clearance withoutthe need of HMs, TMs, field assists or anyhing like that!
I was going to complain about the prices, but again, it's the Pokédollar, there aren't any cents so...
think about it like 50€! Nope, that's the medium price of a sledgehammer...

Oh, it would make some nice combustible, even if that would be quite a cost for some
wood we can easily find around the woods...

By the way, I know this is sudden and unrelated but...
are we going to hug any legendary pokémon?

Hyzenthlay April 20th, 2018 11:32 AM

3c, naturally. Gotta have my rod, yeah! Imagine the absurd plot twists we could fish up. ;)

I'll admit that those antidotes could prove useful, seeing as our protagonist—like any true #TeamTrivia character—never seems to learn from eating purple ice cream... xD

Well hey, at least Sandshrew learned. xD He used to die like 5 times a week, but now he's an evil mastermind! :D

Lycanthropy April 22nd, 2018 2:06 AM

Just a few more and maybe we will start to resist the effects. It works with alcohol, so why not with our rare purple ice cream? :D

Because poison is lethal, so we might actually die before our body gets used to it. xD But still, that'd be seriously amazing if we did start resisting it and maybe gain some sort of superpowers! :D

That'd be so amazing! Let's go find a radioactive ice cream and get it to bite us then! That's how things work in the comics, right?

Is Cuddles not enough to you? Depends if they are hug-able or they will eat your face.

"What doesn't kill you makes you stronger. Mm, better eat more and see how strong I can get."

Anyway, it seems that the bait worked we have come to conclusions to proceed onward. Let's see...

Chapter 17: Fishing

Location: Shanama Town
Lounging on the bench, lost in thoughts. At one side, you might have to go, to where the voice told you just before. It was ominous sounding by content and speech, telling oneself to return back to a certain mysterious part of the world through an indescribable method is indeed suspicious.

...However, deciding about it is already a drag for you. Nothing is yet solved, and it's weird that you're already holding a wooden pole, its pointy end tied by a string connecting the water edge nearby. You do realize that you're currently fishing for something, but it's weirder that nothing is biting. Are there no wild Water-Type Pokémon living in the pond?

Then, as you're about to withdraw the line, a familiar voice echoes to you. "Hey, what's taking you so long? The queen requests your attendance immediately. You must return back to whence you come and seek for the golden bridge."

The seemingly impatient voice then disperses, almost as if it's nagging you to go somewhere. It's uncertain if you can really trust what it says to you, so...
  1. Ignore the voice and head east.
  2. Keep fishing! They say a Mantine lives in this very pond!
  3. Go back to where you found the orb.
  4. Win against the Gym Leader of this town.

Lycanthropy April 23rd, 2018 6:38 AM

4. it is! I'd like to see what they can do against our freaking lasers. :D

2. What else did we get that rod for?

Hyzenthlay April 23rd, 2018 7:42 AM

4. Nothing's biting, so we could go fishing later. Besides, I want to see our Hairy Arachnid Nanoscopic in action! And Cuddles' lasers, of course!
