Much better with a map update. Could of sworn Linus posted his starting spot but after going back through he didn’t. If memory serves I had him starting at H1 to get a Defensive boost and a Helping Hand boost since he’s going to be on the front lines. While I’d like to give everyone a Defense boost, there are only so many spots around Robin. Until Linus posts his starting spot, that just leaves Elwind(Spirit Shackle) whom I’ve already been in contact with on Discord(He knows, just hasn’t had the opportunity to be in front of a computer). Based on the open spots(btw I already spot one error regarding Cuddles. He said I21, not H22), I’d suggest G21.
I’ll take any input/comments regarding my mock moves. Helps me see issues or problems I may not see. |
Yes, I'll have Linus start at H1.
|
So to recap, here’s the move list based on mostly set in stone placements:
North Group: Solstice: H21 -> I19; Use Vine Whip on Wooper-B(x4 STAB that should do considerable damage(thinking 45 minimum since it’s in open terrain and Wooper has relatively low Defense for a level 18 Enemy)). Mercy: G23(could of sworn he said H23... meh who cares) -> H19; Use Shadow Sneak on Wooper-B(Assuming 45 Damage on Solstice’s Attack, that will leave Wooper-B with 19 HP. Pretty sure with just STAB that Mercy can deal that to finish Wooper-B off. If not, Felix will have to finish it off but I anticipate Solstice doing more than 45). Felix: J22 -> J17; Use Spark on Starly(shocking the bird before Stunfisk activates Mud Sport. If by some implausible miracle Wooper- B survives Solstice and Mercy’s assault, you’ll move to J20 and finish the Wooper off with Bite). Cuddles: H22(or I21, doesn’t really matter now does it?) -> L21; Use Astonish on Wooper-C(non-STAB Ghost move that will do roughly 10-15 damage, dropping it to 49-54 HP). Lily: Stay at I22; Use Magical Leaf on Wooper-C(should do at least 50(if not more) due to STAB, x4 and being a stronger move than Solstice’s Vine Whip(not to mention a much stronger Special Attack) to finish Wooper-C off). Krakonos: G22 -> E21(2 points to enter Marsh, 2 points to exit); Use Cut on Paras-B(Estimate 20-25 Damage from this STAB move(leaving Paras-B with estimated 25-30 HP). Possible exposure to spores via it’s ability Effect Spore). Elwind: G21 -> E22; Use Feint on Paras-B(move does not yield contact, hence can’t be affected by ability. Estimating 25-30 damage due to higher Attack rating with above average chance of a critical hit to KO Paras-B thanks to Elwind’s ability. Due for it to activate honestly). South Group: Robin: Stays at G1; Uses Reflect(yields +50% Defense to Meta, Mozilla, Hit and Linus for two turns). Coral: Stays at I1; Uses Helping Hand(boosts Attack/Special Attack of Linus, Mozilla, Priscilla, Nah and WooWoo by 50% for Round 1). Mags: D2 -> G3; Use Corsola Twig on Skorupi-A(this move may not go through due to Shellos’ ability. If it does go through it’s due to Shellos having Sticky Hold or Storm Drain doesn’t work for item attacks. If it goes through, I don’t expect much damage(maybe 5-10 at most)). Rinnia: Stays at D1; Use Confusion on Croagunk-A(has slightly better defense than Wooper but lacks its HP. I wholly expect a solid 45-50 damage(if not a OHKO) from this x4 STAB attack). Alex: E2 -> E4; Use Quick Attack on Croagunk-A(finishes Croagunk off if Rinnia comes up short. If she manages to OHKO it, you can move to C2 and grab the item. Hence I’d post both moves with the condition on which to carry out). Nah: J2 -> I5; Use Dragon Rage on Skorupi-A(Although this move doesn’t benefit from HH, it drops Skorupi-A to 27 HP, all but guaranteeing it to be KO’d by Hit). Hit: G2 -> G4; Use Wing Attack on Skorupi-A(easy KO). Priscilla: I2 -> H7; Use Spark on Surskit(you’ll have 42 Attack thanks to HH and thankfully Surskit has lower physical defense than special defense. Both Spark and Nuzzle are physical but Spark does more damage and I estimate you doing 30-40 damage, leaving it with 11-21 HP). Meta: F2 -> H6; Use Quick Attack on Surskit(should KO it while being in prime position for Poison Types in Round 2. Only concern is Pidgey but wth your boosted Defense, you should be able to absorb a blow. Mags will target Pidgey in Round 2). Linus: H1 -> J2; Use Razor Leaf on Wooper-A(HH boosts you to 51 Attack and with x4 STAB, you may OHKO it. You’ll also have other Allies in front of you to shield you from Poison/Dark moves for Round 1). WooWoo: J1 -> J4; Use Night Shade on Wooper-A(if Linus doesn’t OHKO Wooper-A, finish it off. Otherwise you can move to K2/L2 and wait for action on Round 2). Mozilla: H2 -> L3; Use Ember on Paras-B(Special boosted to 54 with STAB and x4(maybe x5), I should OHKO it. @Lycan: don’t move me until Robin and Coral have done their moves). @Lycan: Carry out following moves in order: 1)Robin & Coral: For Group buffs 2) Solstice, Nah, Mercy, Rinnia, Mags, Krakonos and Elwind 3) Hit, Meta, Priscilla, Alex, Mozilla, Linus, Felix, Cuddles and Lily 4) WooWoo <- Last I know but your move is predicated on Linus outcome |
“Oh, I did not expect this.”
Robin had joined up with the band of merry adventurers for his pursuit of knowledge and ancient artifacts, not play white knight for a couple of Pokémon stupid enough to fall for a slug’s words. From the little time he’d known his companions, however, he knew that they would not be discouraged from the foolhardy, dangerous rescue. Robin started thinking: he did need protection if he wanted to do anything, as he wasn’t a particularly strong battler himself. Ergo, it was in his best self interest to keep his companions alive and not let them drown in the swamp or be picked off by some random creature. “You guys better pay me back for this,” muttered Robin, as he chose to stay put and use Reflect. |

Okey-dokey! Let's have Solstice move to I19 and slam Wooper with a Vine Whip! :D

Anyone have concerns/objections to the move list? Based on the moves I’ve suggested, we ought to KO all three Woopers, Croagunk-A, Skorupi-A, Paras-A(I’d be surprised if I didn’t KO it, especially if it has Dry Skin) and Surskit. Only Pokemon who might survive is Paras-B due to hitting it with Normal Type moves(rolls dice on Absol Critical Hit) and Starly(one Electric Attack won’t be enough I think). In Enemy phase, I expect Croagunk-B to Attack Krakonos with Pursuit(to prevent him from moving) if and only if Paras-B falls(since it can’t reach him otherwise thanks to movement limitations thanks to Marsh), Starly to go after Solstice(Flying > Grass), Pidgey to Attack Meta(Flying > Bug), Dhelmise to use Metal Sound on Priscilla(if it can affect enemies from 2 squares away) in conjunction with Gulpin attacking with Sludge(which if Dhelmise can lower Sp.Def, it’s going to sting with potential poison status), Ekans-B attacks Nah with Poison Sting hoping to inflict Poison, Bite(to inflict flinch) or Glare(Paralysis) and Ekans-A hits me with Glare(I’m a mobile threat). Other Pokémon will move North&West/South&West to get closer to us. Also I wholly expect Stunfisk to use Mud Sport(cutting Electric Attacks by 33%). Round 2 moves depend on what Lycan does but I intend to use Mercy’s Mimic at some point. |
Have Hit do as CodeHelmet says. I definitely won't be able to OHKO Skorupi.
|
For those who’ve been placed but haven’t posted your moves, this might be the opportune time to do so. If your move is predicated on someone moving before you, best to note that and if your move is predicated on an outcome, best to note what to do if that shouldn’t be the case so that your move is carried out without Lycan having to wait.
Only instances would be Alex(only attacks Croagunk-A if it survives Rinnia’s Attack, else it goes after the item at B2), Hit has to wait on Mags to throw her Corsola Twig before moving in on Skorupi-A, Linus has to wait on Nah to move from J2, WooWoo has to wait on Linus’ outcome on Wooper-A(wherein she moves to J4 to finish it off if it’s still alive or moves to K2/L2 if it’s OHKO’d), Felix(can’t attack Starly if Wooper-B is still standing, else finishes Wooper-B off with Bite) and Lily(can’t fire Magical Leaf at Wooper-C until Felix moves out of the way). |
Alright, if all works out, time to fry another bird! Felix moves to J17 and uses Spark on Starly!
NOTE: However, if Wooper-B somehow manages to survive, you can change that to J20 so I can attack him with Bite. |

:t037: Felix, good luck! |
Lily will fire Magical Leaf at Wooper C once Felix has moved out of the way.
|
Move to I5, attack Skorupi with Dragon Rage
|
So imma make this easy. B-2 picks up item Good luck Rinnia!
|
Okay, here we go... *Sigh* Let's dive into the marsh and swim up to E21 and Cut off those weird looking mushrooms!
|
"We gotta do something guys!" Linus said, flapping the arm-like extensions of his stem. He felt at home in the swampy area, and as such had no fear as he charged forward to attack the first enemy he laid eyes upon.
"Prepare to meet your eternal maker!" He bellowed, his voice dropping several octaves and taking on a menacing tone before quickly returning to its regular chirpiness. "Byeeeee~" Linus moves to J2 and uses Razor Leaf on Wooper-A. |

Alex moves to D4; Use Quick Attack on Croagunk-A. IF Croagunk-A has fallen from Rinnia's attack, please move me to C2 and I'll grab item at B2. Then follow it up with a note to Lycan to have you move after Rinnia makes her move. That way the result of her move determines what you do. I'd much rather KO Croagunk-A than grab the item right away(that can be done in Round 2 if need be. Priority is taking out foes). |
Hm, while it sounds good, I see it a tad risky to do indeed. With Tangela being 1 tile nearby, chances are Cuddles will be affected with a powder move during enemy phase, so I've got to disagree with the positioning for that part.
If there isn't anything more to add other than those who've made their move, then Cuddles will dive in toward K22 and use Astonish on Wooper. |

If Linus succeeds in taking out Wooper-A, Woowoo will move to L2 and do nothing.
If Linus fails in taking out Wooper-A, Woowoo will move to J4 and use Night Shade on the Wooper. |
The little Petilil had never seen a Pink Wailmer before and didn't want the Vine covered Pokemon to hurt it. Lily wondered if she would also find a Pinkan Berry.
The bulb Pokemon was unsure whether Magical Leaf would one hit KO the Wooper but was confident she could defeat it with the Wailmer's help. |
So that leaves Rinnia, Mags, Priscilla and our loveable Absol Elwind left to confirm Round 1 objectives. I’ve already VM’d everyone but I’ll give Elwind another nudge on Discord because it has to be done :t037:

Priscilla dashes to H7 and uses Spark on Surskit!
https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/seviland-encyclopedia/images/f/f3/Dawn_Pachirisu_Spark.png/revision/latest?cb=20120407105624&path-prefix=bg "HEHEHEHE! Take that you pesky bug!" Priscilla hollered tauntingly! After her attack she looked around at her ally pokemon. "That was spectacular! Marvelous! Incredible! Did you guys see that!? Did ya, did ya!?" She did a little dance following her burst of excitement. |
so sorry for the delay
Rinnia uses Confusion on Croagunk-A |
