oh! Ill join, I missed them all yesterday cause I had to sleep at my grandparents house ;_;...But Ill join! I like em all, but Samurai Champloo is a little wierd...

Jack O'Neill June 19th, 2005 2:00 PM

I am so in this club. I like Samurai Champloo, Paranoia Agent, and S-CRY-ed equally, and so far, I've never missed a single episode of any of them.

I still can't believe that Lil' Slugger was caught so soon...

Chikara June 19th, 2005 2:05 PM

i dont think he was caught. its too early!

Chairman Kaga June 21st, 2005 12:20 PM

There's got to be some way for Lil' Slugger to get out of this. In support I changed my avatar to Shounen Bat!

And welcome, Jack and Kasanai ^_^

Kratos July 12th, 2005 1:46 PM

*revives*
Yeah!!!!!!!!!!! Did you guys see Paranoia Agent last time?

Chairman Kaga July 12th, 2005 1:54 PM

Not yet, but I have it on tape, so tonight!

I'm so glad this club is alive...let's keep it that way!

Kratos July 12th, 2005 1:55 PM

Yeah, we need people more active here. cause of how awesome the shows are.

Chairman Kaga July 12th, 2005 2:05 PM

Indeed...I'm sure there's a lot of people who like at least one of them here. The problem is that this club gets almost no exposure.

Kratos July 12th, 2005 2:09 PM

Yeah, but you know what I think I think people don't like all 3 except some and the rest just like one out of the 3 shows.

Chairman Kaga July 12th, 2005 2:27 PM

That may be so. All I can gage so far is that at PC, Paranoia Agent > s-CRY-ed from the sizes of their topics in the anime forum. I really should make a Samurai Champloo topic and see how it fares.

I did specify that one didn't need to be a fan of all three shows to belong to this, though. Maybe people didn't notice that.

Kratos July 12th, 2005 2:40 PM

Yeah, but enough of that you will love that Paranoia Agent episode.

Chairman Kaga July 12th, 2005 2:53 PM

I bet I will. Countdown: 3 hours until I can see it o_o;

Kratos July 12th, 2005 2:56 PM

Dude it was so good I can't wait fo you to see it. Oh, Samurai Champloo was good last night too.

Chairman Kaga July 12th, 2005 3:01 PM

It was, it was. I had no idea they had crucifiction in Japan. They must have learned about it during the times that the Jesuits were active in Japan and even into the times after Europeans were expelled.

Kratos July 12th, 2005 3:07 PM

Well I won't get into the religious thing. But that is what I thought at first. Curcification.

Chairman Kaga July 12th, 2005 3:10 PM

Of course all societies have had devices where people are put on a pole or similar object and killed through various means, but that was definitely a cross. It makes me wonder if it was really historically accurate or if they were taking artistic license like they do with a lot of things in the show. Either way, it was an odd and unexpected touch.

Kratos July 12th, 2005 3:13 PM

I thought the way the Japanese were going to do it though was they were going to have their spear stabbed at them once they are on the Cross.

I know what crucifixion is, but what's curcification? XD

Jin and Fuu weren't nailed to the crosses and left there to die; they were merely tied to the crosses and poked with spears.

Chairman Kaga July 12th, 2005 3:20 PM

You're both right about it being different...I remember them being bound instead of nailed now (it was late at night x_x; ) and having spears ready to jab into them. They were on a cross, but the rest was pure coincidence, likely.

Kratos July 12th, 2005 3:24 PM

Which is why it is different for each thing they were only tied to the Crosses.

Chairman Kaga July 12th, 2005 3:26 PM

Yes yes. Put on a cross but not crucified. Thank goodness Mugen burned down that field of opium or whatever it was x_x;

Kratos July 12th, 2005 3:27 PM

I thought it was a drug plant. It was funny. they all were funny.

Opium? I don't think that opium fumes are hallucinogenic. It was probably marijuana or some other sort of drug plant.

Anyways, everybody got high off the fumes, creating quite a few trippy scenes, especially when Mugen fought the warrior priest leader and the colors and shapes began changing.

Chairman Kaga July 12th, 2005 3:31 PM

Yeah, definitely a drug plant, but whether it's opium, I don't know. Opium comes from poppies and I didn't see any of those. I suppose that's what the warrior-priests (I forget their Japanese names) were going to fund their revolution with. I can't wait to see Mugen, Jin, and Fuu high ^^

Kratos July 12th, 2005 3:34 PM

I mostly want to see Jin like that. LOL, Jin is awesome. But to see him high would be hilarious, LOL.
