Pokemon Blazing Emerald was originally released on the Pokemon Rom Hacks subreddit. Thanks to that wonderful community I was able to polish the game and get feedback that improved the experience tremendously. The Blazing Emerald release thread is now one of the highest voted posts on the subreddit.

INTRODUCTION:

Pokémon Blazing Emerald is a graphical and gameplay restlying of Pokémon Emerald designed around rebalancing and improving mechanics while still staying true to the original design and story. Many visual and quality of life improvements have been added to enhance the experience. You will start your journey with Clefairy, Eevee, or Pikachu, each of which provide a very unique gameplay experience thanks to their updated stats, abilities, and learnsets. The battles will be tough, but you've got a lot of tools at your disposal! Exciting and diverse new Pokemon are scattered throughout Hoenn to make every trainer's party feel truly unique! Discover hidden caves, mysterious groves, and more as you experience Pokémon Emerald in a fresh, new way!

Clefairy
Spoiler:
Clefairy and Clefable are the only Pokemon to receive a type change. They are now Dark type and support a great variety of new playstyles
  • Capable of running Phsyical, Special, or Mixed sets
  • Increased offensive capability
  • 2 exclusive moves, Moonrazer and Starstorm
  • Is adorable

Pikachu
Spoiler:
Our favorite mascot has received some love in the form of some much needed battle boosts
  • Increased Special Attack, Defense, and Special Defense
  • Raichu offers even greater offense and bulk at the cost of lowered Speed
  • 2 exclusive moves, Electroburst and Bolt Strike
  • Is incredible with a Light Ball

Eevee
Spoiler:
Awesome variety means you can pick Eevee every time and never feel bad about it
  • Glaceon and Leafeon are here to give you even more choices!
  • Increased all stats by +10 to help out early game
  • All Eeveelutions get a special move at level 50!
  • It's Eevee

EVENTS:

Blazing Emerald offers a wide variety of fun and exciting events designed to fit in seamlessly with the Hoenn region. Rather than simply handing out legendaries like candy, Blazing Emerald will encourage you to explore the region to discover new locations with tough battles and interesting puzzles that leave you feeling like you earned that reward at the end.

Click here to see the full list of events and their locations!

Spoiler:
Burning Grotto and Shimmering Summit:

In the area outside of Rusturf Tunnel where you find the Blackglasses.

At the top you will encounter a shiny, event legendary. Upon defeat or capture,

you will get the gift of "incredible luck" meaning the next Pokemon you

encounter will be a guaranteed shiny Pokemon. This DOES work on Legendary

encounters like Groudon, Kyogre, Rayquaza, and any of the new encounters added.

**WARNING** The next Pokemon you encounter will 100% be shiny. This

means if you are caught by a trainer your shiny will be consumed by

them as they are sending out a Pokemon. Be extra careful if you want

to hunt a specific shiny!

Hidden Grove:

Past the Cut trees on the far right of Petalburg Woods is

the Hidden Grove. Inside you will find the Mew event, allowing earlier

access to the Pokemon if you want to use it on your team. Requires

Rock Smash.

Rusty Cellar and the Nightmare:

In Rustboro City you will find a new building. Once you have

obtained the Dream Orb from the Abandoned

Ship (requires HM08 Dive), you can return to the Rusty Cellar and use

the Dream Orb to begin the Darkrai Event.

Briny Trench and Verdant Enclave:

At the south end of Route 129

you will find a newly added Dive location. Entering will lead to a large

cave. After fighting through the cave you will reach the Verdant Enclave

where you can encounter Shaymin.

Manaphy:

Manaphy will be hiding in one of several underwater dive

locations in the Ocean near Sootopolis. It is not a random encounter

and has a sprite that you interact with to initiate the battle. There

is only ONE Manaphy so don't knock it out!

Seaspring Ruins
and Wish Cave:

In the Ocean segment of Route 103 there

is a small cave you can enter. After defeating the Guardian inside,

you will be given access to the inner part of the cave. Within, you

will find Jirachi.

Crater Crag:

In the deepest part of Meteor Falls you will find an

incredibly powerful trainer. If you are able to defeat him, you will

be given access to a treasure room filled with extremely useful items

including a fully functioning Shiny Charm and a brand new TM to show

off!

Secret Tunnel and Trader's Den:

This is largely for fun playthroughs

and I would not recommend going here if you want to do a more serious

run. The Trader's Den is accessed via inspecting the tile behind the

plant in the Mauville Game Corner. After that, press the red button on

the far left wall in the Game Corner. A hole will open where the floor

tile was that will take you in to the Trader's Den. In the Trader's

Den you can pay 10,000 Pokémoney to be given a random Pokémon at

level 5. This can be ANY Pokémon at all, even a legendary, which is

why I'd recommend it only if you want to have a little fun and get

a potentially crazy or unique Pokémon on your team early on.

Specialty Cove:

A brand new location just below Mossdeep City on Route 127,

the Specialty Cove is the perfect spot to do some EV training! There are 6

separated, small caves that each contain Pokémon that will give 3 points of

their designated EV. There are signs located outside of each of the caves that

will tell you which room gives which EVs!

Find Vito, the fifth Winstrate, in Victory Road!

NEW POKEMON:

Spoiler:

  • Shinx, Luxio, Luxray - Route 101 and 103
  • Yamask, Cofagrigus - Mt. Pyre
  • Buizel, Floatzel - Route 115
  • Riolu, Lucario - Granite cave and Victory Road
  • Magmortar, Electivire - Fire Stone on Magmar, Thunderstone on Electabuzz
  • Gible, Gabite, Garchomp - Game Corner
  • Honchkrow - Murkrow at level 40
  • Gliscor - Gligar at level 35
  • Weavile - Sneasel at level 35
  • Roserade - Roselia at level 35
  • Togekiss - Togetic at level 36
  • Glaceon, Leafeon - Leaf Stone on Eevee, Frost Stone on Eevee
  • Dusknoir - Moon Stone on Dusclops
  • Gallade - Sun Stone on Kirlia
  • Porygon-Z - Link Stone on Porygon 2
  • Goomy - Route 119
  • Shaymin - Verdant Enclave (Event)
  • Darkrai - Nightmare (Event)
  • Manaphy - Random Dive locations around Sootopolis (Event)
  • Armored Mewtwo - Crater Crag (Event)
  • Zangaro - Moon Stone on Zangoose
  • Silviper - Seviper at level 40
  • Magic Egg - Game Corner

So these new Pokemon replace some in-game one's right?
Or they are apart (ala Emerald Omega)?

Have been working on my own quality of life type hack for Pokemon Emerald over the last few months. Stumbled upon your hack a couple of days ago and began playing through it. I must say I'm extremely impressed thus far. Retains the vibe that made the original so enjoyable but with some really interesting additions.

Thank you very much! Good luck on your hack!

Did you implement Goomy but not Sliggoo and Goodra? Why? Also, why did you make Raichu slower?

Goomy is the game's mascot. It has stats that match Goodra's. I chose not to implement Sliggoo and Goodra because I want Goomy to stand out. Also, the Raichu changes are pretty much only a buff. The offense and bulk increases are way worth the -20 speed. Test it yourself and you will see it's much more viable than it was before!

Are generation 6-7 moves present in the game or does it use the Emerald Battle engine?

I’ve refrained from using the updated battle engine due to the fact that it does have quite a few bugs associated with it. The goal of Blazing Emerald is for it to feel very polished, like actual Emerald version but with improved graphics, better Pokémon variety, increased difficulty, and more events and fun content. There are some new moves added such as Shadow Sneak, Aqua Jet, Giga Impact, etc but not all of them have been added in.

There's a few iffy things I dislike in this hack but overall it looks really good, Definitely going to give it a go.

Inner Rhymes August 17th, 2018 10:04 AM

I am so happy to this legendary hack from Reddit make it's way here!

dbinv776 August 17th, 2018 10:09 AM

I just started playing this, and I have to say it feels very polished! I reached the second gym, and I encountered no bugs until now! Great job!

Just a question and few suggestions...
Are all the 386+ pokemon in some way catchable or is the Hoenn dex completable only? Do trade evolutions have an alteranitive evolutionary method? I'm asking beacuse I was not able to find out this on the documentation!

I think that implementing Rhyperior would be a quality touch to this hack... since Rhyhorn is available quite early in the game, it could be a good Pokémon to train with Rhyperior available!
Is it possibile to implement the National Dex that is given to you early in the game? I think it would make the added pokémon feel more natural!
Of course these are just small suggestions coming from what I've played so far.

Would you mind letting me know what things you dislike? I'm always looking for feedback and ways to make the game better. Hope you enjoy the game btw!

There have been a lot of requests about Rhyperior so I can certainly see about adding it in. I will try to have it done in the next patch! It is quite easy to implement the National Dex at the start actually so I will make a separate patch in the folder that has the dex implemented right from the start for people who would prefer that.

All trade evolutions evolve via the Link Stone which can be purchased in the Game Corner or given out rarely by some NPCs. There is a bit more detailed documentation on my website for the game here https://sites.google.com/view/blazingemerald/home

Also, the Hoenn Dex is fully completable but since this is not a 386 hack the National Dex was not intended to be fully completed. It is entirely possible without cheating though thanks to the Wonder Machine's chance of giving you any Pokemon randomly (except for one very special pokemon).

Just personal things I dislike honestly, Don't like type changes unless it's just adding fairy, not a fan of messing with sprites of pokemon or adding in "Fakemon" (Even if they're "new" evolutions of existing pokemon). Day and Night cycles are fine but please never add it to the battle screen because it's honestly visually not appealing, Stat changes are not that big a deal but there are bad pokemon for a reason and pokemon are better in Special or Physical for a reason.

Again these are just personal things I don't like in hacks, obviously other people will like them.

Yeah I totally get that a lot of people are iffy on Fakemon so I made the two custom evolutions very opt-in. You will never encounter the Seviper or Zangoose evolutions anywhere in the story and you will only really get them if you actively decide you want this pokemon and go through the optional evolution method for either of them. Armored Mewtwo is technically canon so I'm not sure if it counts as a Fakemon but I have always loved that concept of Mewtwo in his armor being a Pokemon.

The few Pokemon I have allowed to be mixed attackers are mainly mixed to let you experiment and encourage replayability. Like, maybe you tried special attack Clefairy on your first run with the Flatter Psych Up combo and Bolt Beam and now you want to try Physical Clefairy with Belly Drum and offensive moves because it fits your party better. The goal with the starter Pokemon is to keep them balanced and satisfying to use no matter what you decide to put in your party.

As for updated sprites, I only updated Pikachu's and Gardevoir's because I honestly found their gen 3 sprites to be quite ugly. Again, though, I can totally understand liking to originals more.

Thank you for the feedback!

Mosmero August 17th, 2018 11:26 PM

Just started playing this, and it's probably one of the best hacks in the Sideshow Showcase I've ever played. Keep up the good work!

Also, is the shiny chance increased for the Pokemon you get from the Wonder Machine? Because I used it once and ended up with a shiny Kyogre

P.S
Spoiler:
I love the Snakewood reference in the Dewford Gym :)

Thank you very much for taking my considerations into account and for the information about Link Stones!
I just arrived up to route 110, and no bugs encountered so far!

So, all the newer generation pokémon actually replaced some existing ones in the National Dex?
I'm really not an expert, but would it be possibile to change the Hoenn pokédex adding all the additional pokémon? In this way they would feel natural, in my opinion, in the same way, and you would avoid adding the National Dex right at the start! That would make also completing the new Hoenn pokédex a bit more challenging I think!

Just other few things I thought about: I'm trying to play using a Ledian in my team, with the added elemental punches at Lv.24 that make it much more useful... I noticed that its R/S/E moveset do not include any Bug type move, so no bug type STAB is ever possible using it. Given the fact that this is already a modified stat/moveset pokémon, do you think it may be possible to add to its moveset a bug type move, in order to make it even more effective (for example against fighting type)?
Another interesting addition may be Probopass too, since the presence of Nosepass in the Hoenn Dex.

Again, these are just small suggestions from my own point of view.

Thanks for this great work!

This hack seems amazing but it seems to miss out on a few features fairy type is now a days a must and mega evolution in battle would defenly send this hack to the next level and maybe a hand full of new pokemon like rockruff etc but great work amazing.

ExePas August 18th, 2018 8:22 AM

I'm playing it and it's pretty awesome! But there's a problem at least in my emulator, i don't know if this is the right place to say it but, in mGBA the RTC it's just stuck in night time but when i tested the rom in VBA-M the RTC works perfectly fine, is there a way to fix this problem? For example, in Pokémon Adventure Red there's a patch that solves this problem for mGBA specifically for that rom, anyways great work :)

I've chosen to omit Fairy type on the grounds that it does not fit in properly as a type in gen 3 IMO. Though I have added in some later generation moves, In vanilla Emerald the Fairy type would change the typing of 0 attacking moves and only a small handful of Pokemon. Fairy type was added in as a balancing mechanic for many Pokemon and moves that were added in gens 5 and 6 and I feel without all of those things present it actually creates a lot of balance issues and becomes a very overpowered and poorly distributed type. Mega Evolution is also a very cool concept that I'm open to exploring though! I am glad you are liking the hack :D

Is it normal for Trainers' Pokemon to be shiny? I was fighting Team Aqua in the Weather Institute and the grunt sends out a shiny Poochyena

The shiny odds match the later gens shiny odds of 1/4096. It's possible a side effect of this change is enemy trainers also having a chance to have shiny pokemon. I think that's pretty cool though

jalpseon August 18th, 2018 9:28 PM

Is it possible to remove the 510 EV limit on both player and NPC teams? I hate keeping track of the growth system. I know it would take some ASM skills, but something like this was done on MindCrystal, it took away so much guess work and stress. And it’s fun having all Pokémon teach their full BST potential.

Decagram August 18th, 2018 10:34 PM

The use of shockwave makes your game to crash or is it just me that's having this problem.

dbinv776 August 19th, 2018 2:07 AM

I'm actually playing with "My Boy!" emulator on Android 7 and Shockwave is not causing any problem (tested both with a wild pokemon and in a trainer battle).
I noticed that Treecko learns Pursuit as part of its normal moveset, but it is incompatible with TM08 Pursuit. Is this a bug?

Oh, just out of curiosity:
Spoiler:

I tried using the wonder trade in the Trader's Den... I first got a Dewgong, then a Lv.5 shiny armored Mewtwo ("???").
But, what kind of base stats did you gave it? This thing is too powerful! It already has a 200 base power dark attack and it has very high stats... it was able to faint, at Lv.5, without problems a Lv.19 wild Electrike! :laugh-squinted:

Yes, I did not realize Treecko learned Pursuit naturally so I will update the tms for it. Thank you for telling me!

Also,
Spoiler:
Armored Mewtwo (???) is very overpowered because it is intended to be a "final boss" of sorts that is guarding a treasure room. You cannot catch it by any means and it is banned in the frontier. The only way to get this Pokemon is through the Wonder Machine so consider yourself very lucky since the odds of finding it are incredibly low!

I have never had a report of this so I think it might be something on your end. I tested on GBA4IOS and VBA just now and shockwave is working normally.

Also,

Thanks to you for the information and for your efforts on this hack, that I'm liking a lot! If I find any oddity, I will report it here.

Spoiler:
Since the Wonder Machine can give out powerful pokemon too, could it be make sense to "unlock" it only after a certain event has occurred (i.e. for example only after beating the Elite 4, catching more than "x" pokemon, ...)?

Btw, I just encountered a trainer using Larvesta... is this obtainable somewhere?

If you are using the MyBoy emulator it is known that this emulator does have framerate issues with expanded roms when going above 2x speed up

I've noticed that the Pokedex doesn't track anything that isn't the standard Hoenn one.

What emulator should i use then?

Thank you! Since there is an event that allows you to get one shiny of your choice I decided to change the shiny colors of starters, pseudo-legendaries, and newly added Pokemon to make them more interesting. I've noticed that Electroburst seems to never reduce the foe's accuracy, even though it is stated that sometimes it can do so.. Am I particularly unlucky or is it a bug? Its animation in battle seems a bit out of place too, having little to do with electricity... don't know, however, how easy it could be to replace the battle animation!

I will double check to make sure it's lowering accuracy properly. As for the animation, I'm pretty happy with it. It's the discharge animation ripped from DizzyEggs upgraded Battle Engine

Thank you!!

Spoiler:
The consideration about the animation is just a very personal impression that does not change my overall impression of this hack, of course.
I was saying that just because the attack animation reminds me a spider web, i.e. a bug-type move, rather that an electric discharge.

They are supposed to be 800 but I messed up their price by mistake. I will have it fixed in the next patch! It's almost out now.

dbinv776 August 28th, 2018 9:47 AM

Oh, all right! Thanks for the great efforts you are putting on this hack!!

Just two other considerations:
1) I reached the final "threasure room" in Crater Crag and beat the final trainer... inside the final room, however, there are two red item balls and one gold ball which cannot be picked up... is this intended/unfinished or is it a bug?
Spoiler:
Just a personal consideration on the final battle: ??? kept using Psycho Boost at the beginning of the battle, with the result of sharply reducing its Sp. Atk... with one pokémon only, mainly special attacks and no possibility to swap, I think this reduced a bit its potential as a final boss...

2) After getting the National Dex, I think something that could make this hack very polished could be a reorganization of the dex: now, for example, there's Shaymin just in the middle of normal pokémon, while legendaries normally are put at the end of their generation's pokédex, and Shink/Luxio are in one point of the dex while Luxray is completely in another point... For instance, seeing the "Magic Egg" at the very end or very beginning (maybe also #000 if possibile?) of the dex could highlight its nature as something special. Don't really know how difficult this could, eventually, be to do, though...

Again, these come just from my personal gaming experience with this hack! Thanks again for the effort you are putting into it!

I plan to refine the Dex in a later version where I will rearrange pokemon in a way that makes more sense. I will also have the player start with the national dex once this has been done! And yes the balls that cannot be picked up in there are the result of a bug. I have a patch coming out soon with new content (including Rhyperior :D), bugfixes, and some more polish!

omo, that's great! especially for those pokemons whose shiny version are less desirable, btw are you planning to add roserade? I kinda used my shiny chance on a roselia lol and it's actually one of my faves too.

also any chance that tail glow will be updated to do a +3 buff instead of a +2?

Roserade is in the game currently! If I can get updated move effects I will gladly do it. Unfortunately a +3 stat boost is not in the code so it is a bit complex to add

By the way, Roserade is not mentioned (nor is Budew?) on your website: how can Roselia evolve here? In generation IV pokémon games it evolves through shiny stone, but this item was not available in 3rd-gen games and it is not mentioned either in your website as new or changed item!

Hey man, I really loved your room, so good, best hack room i've played so far.

Only thing i have to say is,

I think that implementing mega evo is going to disbalance the game, the same way puting fairy types on it would, unless you implement some drawback (IMO).

Ps.: how do i evolve leafeon kk

Ps².: can i use pokemonrandomizer on it?

Yeah I currently don't have any plans to do Megas or Fairy type as I have put a lot of effort into keeping everything balanced. I'm glad you're enjoying the hack :D Leafeon can be evolved with a Leaf Stone on Eevee and yes you can randomize the game! I use the Universal Randomizer and it has always worked properly so I would recommend that one for sure.

Pervenc September 13th, 2018 4:45 PM

Thanks for the quickly answer.

So, i notice something, maybe its nothing and it have more to do with my cellphone. The room runs just fine on my pc, but when i play it on myboy ( for android) it runs very lag with many frameskips, i have tryied every configuration on myboy app, and with another cellphone as well. Also, regular pokemon emerald runs just fine on the cellphones i tested (motog4 and motog5play).

Zero-G September 15th, 2018 11:45 AM

Okay, before I say anything else.

Shiny Salamence with the Zard X color scheme has got to be the most aesthetically pleasing thing I've seen all week. Seriously, it feels so right to me, as if that's how it always should have been.
Probably the best shiny ever, besides Greninja (go ahead, hate me, but Black Greninja is flavorful as everything, and for that I love it).

Alright, now let me tell you that I'm definitely going to give this a try, but I want to ask a few things beforehand that weren't mentioned on your site (or maybe I didn't find them).

-since Roselia evolves into Roserade... does Budew exist (and to go along, the other later-gen babies, like Mantyke and Chingling)? If yes, how do you access them? Simply breeding w/ the adjacent item?

-Mamoswine (and by extension Yanmega) are not mentioned either, so are these two available, and if yes, is it the regular method of lvling up while knowing Ancient Power?

-Did the Cleffa line really have to become Dark? I get why you wouldn't want to add Fairy, but... haven't there been other choices? This is just me nitpicking but I really don't see Clefairy a Dark type. At all.
I would've suggested it to be Psychic (make it an 'ancestor' of Beheeyem and the trope that most pokemon who are thought to come from outer space are Psychic-type) or even a Rock/X duotype to go with its conjunction to meteorites. (Rock/Ice would be fun here, despite the abysmal defensive typing).

I'm probably going to enjoy this game a lot, but the one thing I'll really be missing is losing the way Altered Emerald is treating HMs (making Nature Power act as a substitute for all HMs except Fly and Flash). Of course, that's not as much of a hassle as I make it, but I'm going to miss the brokenness of Lotad learning every HM except Fly, Slightly.

The babies are not in, just the new evos. I have an update coming soon that will feature Mamoswine, Magnezone, and Froslass among other neat things.

As for Clefairy line being dark type... it was a bit of a personal thing and a reference to Gengar being Clefable's shadow. I felt there were limited choices for Dark types and I liked the irony of the cute fairy being dark.

I really love this Nature Power HM concept in Altered Emerald and if I can find a way to get it into my game I will certainly do it. That's such a cool idea but I have no clue how the creator pulled it off.

I hope you'll enjoy the game :D I will continue to update it and make it as enjoyable as possible!

Zero-G September 15th, 2018 10:12 PM

Good to know. I think I'll be holding off on starting until the new update then to make sure everything is working as is.

Well if it's a personal thing in regards to Clefairy then I'm not going to complain. You have reasons which is all well and I'm going to deal with it. Just gave my own .02c.

I'd love to help you get this concept in, but unfortunately I'm not a coder, I'm just a hack enthusiast lol.

Set your save file to Flash 128k then make sure RTC is on. It works like a charm on me so...

SpikeJolteon October 6th, 2018 11:53 PM

I played through the hack and honestly.. I like the approach and what you're doing with it.

However, I find it kinda boring without gen 4 onward movesets. and while yes it does have the phys/special split, gen 3 hinder some Pokemon completely un-viable in terms of movesets.

I hope it's something you look at in the future!

( I don't know if it's already a thing or not, but most of the pokemon i was using only had 3rd gen moves )

A few questions for you:

1.) Where can the Frost Stone be found? I really want a Glaceon.

2.) Can you recommend emulators I can use other than John GBA (that one likes to delete my save files) since MyBoy keeps lagging?

3.) Is there a way to boost the shiny rate?

EchkO November 24th, 2018 12:42 AM

How do you get riolu?Ive been searching granite cave for quite a while and havent seen one...is he just really rare? Also...can you only get Darkrai in post game?

Duskmourn November 30th, 2018 11:40 PM

Curious what the reasoning for the exclusion of the female player character was. Outside of some different dialogue it doesn't seem like it would be hard to do, and if anything it seems like it would be more trouble to remove it.

Dragonlord Daegen December 3rd, 2018 2:04 PM

im just about to download this...and i have a few questions
technical
1.does it need to be applied to a ROM or is it just a ROM that has already been patched? and if i need to patch it myself, what program do i need?

2. will this work on visual boy advanced? (GBA emulator)

gameplay
1. does Mirage Island work same way as in the origional game?,if not how was it changed.
2.please tell me legendaries can actually be used in the battle frontier
3. what form does Deoxys take in this version?
4. is it easier to get past those annoying holes in the sky piller (when you return to catch Rayquasa)
5.have legendary catch rates been changed in any way?
6. given the new starter selection, does that mean the actual starters are just wandering wild pokemon,or is there some special thing you have to do to find them?

just curious
1.are there any new shiny sprites? or are they what youd come to expect for whatever pokemon.
2.the new pokemon "Silviper" sounds cool, what does it look like?

also forgive all the questions

Not complaining but after I used the Wonder Machine I got a shiny Kirlia, and every other Pokemon I've seen was shiny as well.

I'm going to leave this here, and I don't know if this is an issue in Base Emerald as well, but the girl who asks for a poke-block in Lilycove will soft-lock your game if you speak to her while having the Pokeblock case, but no actual pokeblocks.

Where is a pokemon locations list? The only documentations I can find in the download (including the 1.1 version) are the patch instruction and the list of changes.
I noticed that a number of new pokemons have been added in, including those from gen 1 so it would be nice if a pokemon location guide is available...

Hi. I have some questions. There is a very big cave in Route 115 and this place is the very north of Rustboro City. Named as Ancient Alcove. How can we finish there? There are a lot of puzzles in there. I solved all the puzzles. In the last room, the wall said something about mew. What is this? And what do I need to do?
Trader den in Game Corner will work after the beating the game?
How can I evolve my Roselia? She is about to 60 level and I still didnt beat the Elite4.
English is not my own language. I hope, you can understand my english. Thank you so much for this amazing hack and have a nice day.

-Ancient Alcove is tied to another Key item referring Mew in its description (I forgot its name... been a while since I played. Gotta pick it back up :D). Get said key item and use it before the wall to open another room with a small story and a very, very special pokemon. I won't say more, just pick it up yourself.

-Trader's Den works as soon as you went to Mauville City and activated the hidden switch in the Game Corner. 10k per trade are required.

-Roselia evolves just like it does in the main games. You can find the evolution stone in the wild and at some vendors.

looneyman1 December 30th, 2019 9:40 PM

The website says that you have the option to make the clock work as it did in G/S/C so day and night are more conveniently taken into account by the GBA's clock, but how do I do that?

Koonteh January 10th, 2020 9:02 AM

Looking for some help here, maybe someone can guide me in the right direction. Hope this is the right place for this question. I patched the rom. When testing the GBA file on my PC, the RTC works correctly (Light on screen in day, dark at night). However, when I imported the GBA file to a CIA and installed it on my 3DS, it is always dark on the screen, like the RTC is stuck on midnight or something. I made sure to check off the RTC setting in NSUI while creating the CIA. Does anyone know of a fix?

So when I get a starter my game crashes, starting with the music, then when you save. Was never actually able to play the game because of this bug

Just asking..... Does this rom hack compatible for mobile phones? I use My Boy emulator. I can played it wondefully. The problem is, it's a bit laggy when using the fast foward settings. But not always

So i found a bug. Where you will get shiny pokemon, 100% each time you encounter one. And i don't know how it actually works. Cuz i went to the game corner where you can go to the trader's den. So i buy a lot of pokemon and found out that all of them wer shiny. Then i went out through the secret tunnel. Where you will get random battles with diglett or whishmurr. Those pokemon were shiny. Then, encountering other pokemon, there were also shiny. So i reset the game...

Yes, the game is laggy because the ROM has been expanded. Playing it on x2 speed is the closest you'll get to a smooth experience using the fast forward feature.

How early can you get the stat scanner in this game?

You get the stat scanner from the market clerk in odale town, he gives you the state scanner instead of the promotional potion.

Thank you for this wonderful hack! Gave it a run some time ago and really enjoyed it. :)
Are you planning on any more releases beyond v1.0.4? Just asking because I'd like to give it another playthrough once the game is in its very final form.

How do I evolve Dodrio into its regional form? A Reddit post a few months back said you have to level up Doduo while a Marowak's in your party, but it doesn't work, just evolves into regular Dodrio.
